The infinite glitch

"Another encounter, ah" Jake told in a boring manner, as he was spying on the house next to his tower through a telescope. The MDO organization which's main objective was to protect the city from any monster or undead threat had been spying on the weird house for about four months. And jake was a piece of it.

The phone beside him rang disturbing the silence in his room. A very thick voice started speaking on the other side of the phone, it was the manager of the organization. "Rhett was sent to raid the house and he didn't return from past 7 hours, the connection is lost " the manager tells with a taste of tension in his voice. "Jake, I need you to go to the house and check the problem, and tell Rhett that he is worth nothing!" the manager ordered.

He sets off to the house of terror not before taking his torch and taser gun. It was 10:03 at the night and it was shivering outside. He gulps a large amount of saliva as he opens the huge creaking gateway to the house campus as it was always unlocked. Jake was terrified with his job as he knew what would happen if he stepped on the grass of the campus. As he entered he noticed small wooden planks leading towards the main door of the house.

Not before he hopped on the planks one by one he touched the main door gently. But to his surprise the door opened and seemed as if an unknown force had opened the door. The house's interiors were filled with darkness. It seemed as if it was absorbing every light entering the house.

Instead of door closing, the door fell down making a very heavy noise. Jake plucked his torch out of his pockets and lit it. The light of the torch revealed a corridor appearing to be of an infinite distance.

In the corridor several rooms were seen with doors which had scratch marks on it but one of them had a glowing effect. As the light rays touched Jake's eyes, he started heading towards it in a curious manner, only to find out that it was the light from a torch which was fallen down. It looked familiar. "Its Rhett's" Jake whispered to himself in a scared manner.

The light of the torch revealed another extensive corridor with a red carpet leading towards the dark. He started moving forward maximizing his bravery. At this moment Jake's heart was pumping violently, each and every footstep of him were as noisy as playing a base drum. He slowly started reaching his hands towards his pockets to grab his taser gun.

As he slowly made his way to the dark appearing to be endless, his feet slipped and a fell into a pot hole. It was pitch black inside and his torch broke by the impact on it when it fell on the floor.

But not worry he had another torch which was perfectly working. He started navigating around the pitch dark. As the light of the torch fell on the certain direction, Jake saw a halfly decayed skull with its fellow companion skeletons of a body grab the attention of Jake frightening him giving him a very scary jump scare.

His body pushed himself backward. "Oooff"

Jake whispers in a sight of relief. He done change the direction of the torch, which made him realize that there was an exit door to get out of the terrorizing dark room.

There was an old paper stuck onto the door with a nail hammered through the paper and attaching it to the door piercing the paper. The sides of the paper were torn and it was yellowish as it was very old.

There was a small passage written in the paper showing "There is NO way to escape from here".

For a moment Jake got lost in the thought that it was the end as there were no way other than going from the door as he couldn't climb back because he fell 7 feet down from the ground level of the house and he was 6 foot 1.

He tried to open the door but was of no use as the door seemed locked. With this tension in his mind he stepped a little back and "click" a sound immersed from the ground revealing Jake that he had stepped on a button which was buried in the darkness.

"Holy rats!!" he screamed "I am roasted meat! what blunder did I just do, I stepped on a landmine!" to add in his blinders he in a reflex took his leg off the mine.

But it his surprise it didn't blow up, instead made a subtraction for his blunder. It was the secret button to open the gate Jake saw earlier. The door made a huge creaking sound which made Jake bite his own teeth.

Though there was a escape rout for him to get out of the room, he wasn't happy at all. The opening of the door made him realize that this was not the only room that was dark in there.

But ad he had no other option but to move forward keeping his bravery at the maximum level, he did so. But to his surprise this room wasn't same as the one before, this had a switch for the lights! Jake on the light through the switches.

There was another feature which made this place a completely different from the one before. This was another corridor which looked very similar to the one Jake saw earlier at the ground floor of the house.

He gulped a large amount of saliva and started walking towards the dead end of the long corridor. But all of a sudden he again fell into a ditch. At this point Jake's brain felt that it he was a game character and an unlimited loop glitch was affecting him.

Out of nowhere a voice of elderly woman was heard "Dinner's ready Rob" This voice was clearly not from the universe the Jake lived in.
