Chapter 3 Sassy Ava

The car quickly joined the busy traffic and Ava had already stopped her bicycle somewhere at a hidden corner. she then took out her phone cum palmtop computer, she entered a string of codes then his identity was displayed even his well hidden secrets. her lips curved in a mischievous smile as she entered yet another string of more complicated codes, after two minutes she restructured it back to form a phone.

in the information technology department of XM group of industries immediately received red alerts signifying danger and breach of firewall. This has never happened before, they immediately tried to fight it out with who ever was behind the screen at the other end. they instead couldn't find the perpetrator as a line of provocative words keep popping up on the entire large desktops computers. none of the function keys worked, sigh, whoever was behind this was surely a genius as the other person's traces couldn't be found.

"Quick, get Liam Carlos here", commanded the it department head.

Liam Carlos reported to his boss immediately, he is regarded as the it guru of his time. other companies tried to poach him but due to the high annual fees paid by XM group of industries, he couldn't leave his current job plus the privileges of having to work part-time or report to work when needed. he basically rested at home and took care of his other works and only had to go through the security system of the company once in a while.

he sat before the computer as his fingers basically flew between two computers at lightening speed, an ordinary person would be amazed at his speed but for people in this area his speed still amazed them. he was poached directly during hackers competition as he was the fastest and well coordinated hacker in the world hackers competition.

after switching between few computers for some minutes, faint lines of worries began to appear on his forehead. the other experts and interns looked on worriedly as more provocative lines keep popping up on the desktop monitors. he straightened up after sometime and shook his head in disappointment.

"Am sorry, i have tried pursuing this person but i couldn't succeed. this person is so cunny and all traces are well hidden. am afraid have never seen someone so strong as this in all my years of hacking"

"Stop spewing nonsense, how much are you paid annually? who knows what is happening right now to the company's files and top secrets. i definitely suspect that our competitors are at work. quickly notify the CEO".

Xavier came barging in as everyone stood still while awaiting their punishment.

"What exactly is going on here?" His whole expression was covered with ice and a bad premonition kept flashing in their minds.

"earlier, CEO the....."

"I hate excuses the most", he cut her off arrogantly and the young intern flushed red and hung her head low. she had always admired him from afar and thought this might be a good opportunity to showcase some of her talents of course this eagle eyed demigod saw through her silly antics and spun directly on his heels before going out.

stopping at the door, "go to the human resource department and get your pay", gasps due to shock could be heard from the employee as most of them had families who depended solely on them.

"CEO sir" a few female staffs ran to catch up with him as they tried to use their female charms on him. one tried to get close to him but the bodyguards stopped her, she batted her fake eyelashes and her fake chin jutted upwards as she purposefully pulled down her thin blouse to reveal her her fake boobs. everything about her seemed fake, he wondered what was so appealing about these sluts to men. the disdain filled gaze halted her steps and made her cower in fear

"Actually sir, it's not wise to sack your staffs at the moment because you really need the it department now", she tried acting coquettish but it made him to feel like puking.

"Trying to teach me what to do in my company?" the bodyguards secretly prayed for the brainless lady in front of them. he then treated her as air, her earlier strong demeanour fell and her lips quivered as she tried to look pitiful.

"Stop acting this way, it doesn't suit you. a candid word of advice!", Jeff whispered as he passed by her. she glared at him as something which cannot be described flashed through her eyes for a second. she regained her cool and elegant disposition and went away.

back in the CEO's office, xavier issued instructions to some subordinates and he decided to rest.

his mind took him back to the act of that disgusting lady, he imagined how that street and smart mouthed girl he met earlier would look like if she were to act in a coquettish and spoiled manner. a smile found its way to his lips as he quickly recollected himself.

he turned on his computer and the first thing he saw was a middle finger, he was besides himself with anger. this person is too much, his face turned rigid as he began to type in a string of codes. xavier is quite proficient in hacking even better than liam carlos but due to his tight and busy schedule, he had to pay for such services. he maintained a calm expression, after sometime he had successfully solved the issue. perhaps his mind has been playing tricks on him, how can it be? she is just a little delivery girl who is sassy and all. he is thinking about too much rubbish as of late, he berated himself.

it's like this hacker knows him so well especially his capability. why was he able to do it with his personal computer? he had to take time off to strengthen the company's firewall security system, he can't imagine the losses he will incur if the other party strikes again. as far as the top management flies and secrets are concerned, there are intact according to his investigation.

Ava stopped her bicycle at the large city science library. she proceeded to show her card to gain entrance. the lady at the counter is familiar with this petite and beautiful girl who always borrow advanced programming language, advanced medical, advanced foreign languages and other advanced textbooks in many other areas of specialisation. she is always amazed at the speed in which she reads and returns the books. is she not burning her brain cells so fast at this rate? she wondered.

ava approached her with smiles in her face, "Miss mary, good afternoon. are there new arrivals?"

" So sorry dear, the management is yet to decide on that issue but for now you can browse through other books available here".

" All those other books are quite simple, i need the more advanced textbooks", she said nonchalantly.

the woman almost vomited blood, slow down child. it's scary. young girls of her age are busy going on shopping sprees, vacations, beauty spas and the rest of it. but this petite girl is really torturing herself.

"Hey, you are a young girl. you have to loosen up, have fun ok....."

"I need to run along ma'am, see you when next i come", she left the woman and ran out.

ava immediately climbed her bicycle and rode off quickly while waving to few people whom she knew. the passers-by were used to seeing this lively and boisterous girl who often come around to borrow books from the library.

ava packed her bicycle and proceeded to do some shopping for grocery. she took note of the things she needed to buy and prioritized her grandma's health above all things. she went to the fresh and organic section in search of vegetables, fruits and fresh fish. she has always been snappy when shopping for anything, she took into account the money allocated for the shopping, sighed internally and joined the queue to pay her bills. when it came to her turn, the lady at the counter took note of the things she bought and thought she wouldn't be able to pay for them. thus with such attitude, she blatantly ignored her and was about to attend to the next person.

"Hey girl, don't embarrass yourself. if you know you don't have enough money to pay for these things you bought, just hand it over", she signaled to the security to come over and take her out.

Ava have always been rationale in taking decisions, she slapped her card on the counter and raised her eyebrow provocatively which clearly implied that she dared her to speak once more.

the receptionist took her card and swiped, "You are just lucky", she assessed ava's outfit.

during this period of time ava had secretly looked up her information via her hacking skills. she realized that she works part-time as a stripper in a very low end club and she sometimes doubles as a bed warmer for passion driven men. en! that's deep.

"Ayio! i believe that when your boyfriend sees your nude pictures and videos, he will surely understand how hard working you are, ahh"!, slapped her head lightly. " I forgot, stripping is not an easy task, tsk tsk tsk". the lady went pale as her face turned red when she realized that some married women inside the mall gave her dirty looks and their gazes were filled with mockery. she felt like their judgemental glances seemed to say, slut, you are the reason my husband keep coming back late at night. your kind are a menace to the society.

she couldn't take it anymore, she abandoned her duty, changed out of her uniform, grabbed her bag and ran out of the mall while crying profusely. "White lotus", Ava simply sighed, made use of the commotion and sneaked out of the mall.

she came back to see some men dressed in black suit while the most dignified one amongst them was addressing her grandma who was holding onto the balusters outside for support. her lips were trembling terribly.

ava dropped her bicycle carelessly and ran to support her grandma who kept patting her lightly to calm her down.

"This building is already in ruins, it needs renovation but as a matter of fact, this building has been sold. so am giving you and your grandmother, a three days to get off this property else you will bear the consequences", he gave them a demeaning look and turned around on his heels as his pot belly tossed him from left to right.

Jeez! what an overfed pig. she cursed silently. ava narrowed her eyes dangerously, no one has ever insulted her and got scot free. she will have to see this city's mayor's dirty linen which he is hiding. en! that would be fun.
