CHAPTER 62: SHOP FOR A DRESS

His fingers made tapping sounds against the keys of his laptop, he's staring intently at the screen while his fingers moved. He let out a heavy breath,no mistakes so far,Ryan checked in the data that was sent to him by Matt a few moments ago,he had a lit of files and projects as well as contracts of different sort to go through.

He had been having a lots of work lately,he was used to it but he could barely get any sleep,Matt had some personal business going on that had him take a day off.Jason was off somewhere and he wasn't in the mood to chase him around being the brother he is,he could easily get Jason to come and be more useful but Ryan wasn't in the mood.

He turn slightly to see the hot chocolate and was still emitting steam,he was glad it's still hot so he would enjoy it better.

Grabbing the cup by the handle,Ryan brought the cup closer to his face,the fragramce swept his nose and he closed his eyes as he took in deep breaths. He brought the cup closer to his lips ,the thick brown liquid making contacts with his tongue and going down his throat. The taste was good since he makes his hot chocolate delicious as Jason would always scream Everytime he gets a taste of it

He look at the surface of the liquid,it didn't taste the way Mia would have made it. There's was this difference in taste when she makes it ,he couldn't describe it. Somehow,he had grown used to her that he wanted to taste what she makes and he felt like he wanted more

"fuck what's wrong with him,he can't seem to possibly get her out of his head".

Ryan put the documents in place when he noticed a particular one,the one Mia had gave him the other day,an offer from her company and also others information. His scanned through the documents,and a smile graced his lips, eyes filled with satisfaction. Mia had him impressed in just one month. He closed the file taking another sip of the hot chocolate.

He closed his eyes with his back pressed against the chair. His closed as if in deep thought. He took out his phone and dailed numbers before hanging up after a few minutes. The preparation of the party was going smoothly . He felt the urge to call Mia but ignored it at the end making sure to keep his mind occupied.

He was done with all he needed to do and had until tomorrow evening to get a proper sleep.

it's been quite a while and Mia still didn't know what to pick except from a few other things which she picked.

From a distance she saw Hannah and Alexa admiring their reflection from the mirror and she took the opportunity to take a picture without their notice. Alexa had gone outside waiting for them,he for one knows they might take along time before coming out.

Mia saw a dress that caught her attention,she smiled while walking towards it to get a better look,her hands moved to feel the texture and surface if the gown.Without wasting time ,she went to try the free on making sure the other two hadn't noticed her. It fitted her well,a smile settling in her lips as she smiled with satisfaction. ,The gown was beautiful, a light pink dress with a touch of designs and patterns along with glitters that didn't make it flashy.

"here pack this"she said to one of the staffs.

"you are done"Alexa approached her along side Hannah, each holding bags in their hands

"did you buy shoes"Alexa asked again with excitement and saw Mia shook her head in response"there's no need for that"

Mia didn't find any need to buy shoes,she had ones that goes well with the pink dress she bought.

"okay let's go".

Mia began to walk when her phone suddenly rang, taking it out to see the caller's id before answering the call.

"yes mum"

"good,a package actually came for you"

"who's it from?"Mia asked not expecting any deliveries in front of her house.

"wait ....ah yes found it ,it's from Ryan Garcia"

"okay I'll be there"her hand unconsciously moved to touch her chest feeling the drum beats that's against her chest. Ryan sent a package for her.She didn't know what he possibly could have sent for her. She had millions of thoughts on her head.

She held the bag in her hand properly so it won't fall. Hannah and Alexa had already gone outside, waiting for her and she's keeping them waiting.

She exited the mall and walked towards the trios that were waiting for her by the car using the amount of time to chat.

"ready to leave"Alex asked her.

"sure...I mean no"they all stared at her with questions in their eyes.

Mia wanted to go with them but that also meant she would spend the night at Alex's place. The party was tomorrow evening and Ryan had sent a package for her,it must be something important for him to have sent it by this time. She didn't want to go to the party without opening it, there's also a high probability that he might ask her,what was he suppose to say when he asks.

"I have something important to do"Mia added

"okay but call if you need anything"Alex said and they drove off.

A sigh escaped her lips, she didn't want to lie to herself but she felt her only reason for going home was the anticipation of what Ryan had sent for her

she hailed a cab that stopped directly in front of her as she entered the cab seat while placing her hand on her chin looking out the window

At the top of a high building, someone In black stood with a binocular in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Throwing the cigarette on the floor,he turned around as he left the top of the building after placing the binocular in a bag. Hr walked with steady steps down the stairs before walking along the place filled with people,the sound of his shoes clicking against the floor,on a hand in his pocket while the other reached to take out his car keys while he got into a blue car outside
