Monster Musume Plus!

Kimihito Kurusu thought he was a normal human and yet when he turned 18, a mandatory DNA test result showed he was actually only half-Human. A link between the human world and the supernatural, Kurusu is used by Kuroko Smith and the Cultural Exchange Committee as a homestay for supernatural representatives who wish to experience human culture. Oh, and Kurusu just so happens to be a transmigrator who took over the body he currently possesses during an interview with Smith, his Cultural Exchange Coordinator. What could go wrong? (A/N - Monster Musume is the anime we're gonna start off with, but others will be added eventually. Mainly characters from specific anime that fit with the overall theme I'm going for; monster/non-human waifus and all that jazz. Human characters will be added nonetheless, however.)

Being In A New World--And I'm Not Even Fully Human!

A cough from across the coffee table of my apartment's 'living room' broke me out of my thoughts, making me regard the woman opposite me with a little more focus than before.

"Were you listening, Mr. Kimihito?" she asked, her voice even and calm despite the annoyance most would show at knowing someone wasn't listening to them - but I wasn't complaining. I was glad she was being so calm and understanding with me. I'd just been dropped into this random bloody body, after all.

Massaging my temple, I gave a wry smile to the woman, who called herself Smith, "Sorry, Ms. Smith...I've got a pretty bad headache and the pain is distracting me a little."

Not a lie, actually. The pain is distracting me - the memories of another life, however, are also distracting me. Still, yeah, the pain is pretty goddamn bad. Feels like I'm passing a kidney stone...but in my head. That doesn't even make biological sense and yet it's the best comparison I can think of.

Who know being put into another body would hurt so bad? Not me, for one.

Hell, I think it hurts even more than the truck I was just fucking hit by. Oh, what's that? What truck, you ask? The truck that suddenly appeared out of nowhere and ran me over with a comically loud squelching sound. Crazy that I was even awake for a fraction of that experience, let alone being awake for all of it like I was.

...Hellish experiences aside, I seem to have been transmigrated into a new body. That's where the new memories came from, obviously.

Worst of all, I was put in this body opposite someone else, mid-conversation.

Luckily they'd been the one's talking and not me, otherwise I'd have stopped mid-sentence and alerted them to my sudden change. Pretty sure they noticed me going a pale as a white sheet nonetheless but they didn't speak about it, only asking if I was listening to them.

Spoiler, I wasn't. Too busy assimilating new memories and stopping myself from screaming my vocal cords raw and crying my eyes dry of tears from the pain.

My new name was Kimihito Kurusu, I was now Japanese - goodbye British citizenship, hello Japan! - and I seemed to be in a world based off of an anime. Funnily enough, it was...yeah, it was an anime. An anime I knew, actually. What anime? An anime called 'Monster Musume' or 'Everyday Life With Monster Girls', whichever you prefer. It's anime about a world where monster girls and supernatural species exist and one semi-useless hap gains a harem--yeah, it's one of those animes.

I like 'em, sue me. But only because of how lighthearted they can be.

Still, the constant cock teasing and cock blocking is something that does annoy me, even if I do enjoy anime like 'Monster Musume'. Sometimes I just wish for the protagonist to make a move or something.

Then again, I guess it'd be a hentai and not an anime if they did that, huh?

Ahem, anyway, where was I? Ah, yeah, semi-useless hap gains a harem.

Well, guess what? I'm that semi-useless hap who's gonna gain a harem. Kimihito Kurusu is the name of the protagonist from 'Monster Musume'...and I'm now him.

But wait, there's more! A twist to the original script, even. In the original, Kimihito Kurusu is a completely normal human. He's kind and surprisingly brave but he's still 100% pure blooded human. Which means I should be completely human...but I'm not. My new memories tell me that I'm actually half-Troll, a subspecies of Ogre much stronger than the regular kind of Ogre.

Apparently my dad's a chad in this life. Seduced a three meter tall Troll, without even knowing she was a Troll (somehow), and then nine months later I popped out. Somehow he impregnated a three meter tall giant women with a human penis.

...A true chad.

Either way, in this life I'm Half-Human/Half-Troll. And yet I didn't find this out until recently.

Turns out that hybrids don't awaken their supernatural blood until they're the age of 18 which, from my new memories, I knew was a month ago.

So, overnight I underwent a growth spurt, gains superhuman strength, could shrug off a bullet and became freakishly athletic. Gained a shit ton of muscle as well, something Trolls were well-known for - being ripped as hell, apparently* - and my eye color changed from brown to purple.

(*A/N - Which isn't a joke. That's literally what separates them from Ogres. They're taller and more buff.)

Obviously this didn't go unnoticed by those around me, and used to this specific situation of people changing overnight, the Culture Exchange Committee made me do a blood test.

That's how I figured out I was half-Troll.

Whatever, I don't really care about my newfound half-existing humanity. I mean, I can bench press more than I could in either lifetime and I'm ripped as hell in terms of aesthetics. Who'd complain about that? The original Kimihito Kurusu, that's who. Upon finding out he was only half-Human, he shut himself away and turned himself into some sort of NEET.

Honestly, I kind of understand why. Racism against nonhumans is at an all-time high throughout the world. I'm not talking name calling, which is bad enough either way, but instead organized attacks on people who aren't human.

Vandalized homes, sexual assault, assault and battery--the list of crimes goes on and on for what happens to nonhumans in certain parts of Japan.

So, Kimihito was scared of his life being ruined if he came out as a half-Troll. He wasn't scared for his life - it'd take more than a knife or a gun to end a half-Troll - but instead afraid for the social life and everything in it that he'd built up. What if his friends hated him because he wasn't fully human? What if girls he liked hated him because he wasn't fully human? You know, that type of defeatist stuff.

Arguably, Kimihito did have it worse than regular nonhumans. After all, as a hybrid, he didn't belong to either side and could be hated by racists on either side because of one of his halves. Still, I wouldn't and won't stay inside out of fear for what those cowards would say or do to me.

I refuse to give them the satisfaction of thinking I'm afraid of them.

Wiping my forehead with the back of my hand, I put my focus and concentration back on Ms. Smith who was currently sipping at some coffee I'd made her - the original Kimihito had made it, but I was him and he was me now, so there's no need to differentiate between the two anymore. Ms. Smith, unaware of my thoughts, noticed I was looking at her and put the coffee mug down.

"That's some good coffee you made me, Mr. Kimihito," she smiled, gesturing to the half-empty mug, "I'm going to paraphrase what I just told you, so listen up this time," she warned and it was easy to see she meant business and wanted to get this over and done with.

"1)," she held up a finger, signaling it was her first point, "You're a hybrid who was brought up in the human world. Thus you're the closest person to a perfect mix between the supernatural and the human world. Which means you're the perfect person to connect to certain members of the extraspecies who can also show them how to function in human society due to your experience growing up in it. Following?" she asked.

"...Yeah," I nodded after a moment of hesitation, "You're saying I'm the closest thing to a nonhuman who can function in human society, right?"

She nodded, "Exactly," she said before pausing a bit awkwardly, "Well, you seem to have improved but you aren't exactly functioning after the test results came out positive..." she trailed off and I couldn't restrain the wry smile that spread across my face.

"It was just a lot to take in, Ms. Smith," I admitted truthfully, scratching my cheek, "I'm actually thinking about returning to school soon," I informed her with a confident smile which seemed to put her at ease as she let out a relieved sigh.

"Good, I was thinking I'd need to give you a pep talk about getting back into life but that doesn't seem necessary, now does it?" she asked before holding up a second finger, "Now, 2), Because of this unique circumstance, we're making you a homestay for VIP members of certain extraspecies who we need to take care of. Some of their families would be put at ease knowing you, a half-Troll, were here to protect their family member."

I didn't see a reason to disagree - they wouldn't let me disagree even if I wanted to and considering I'm a half-Troll they might actually make my life harder for the sake of it - and besides, I'd be living with a bunch of hot monster girls. Any straight man with a working dick would at least be somewhat amenable to such a situation, right?

Seeing that I didn't disagree, Ms. Smith gave a surprised look, obvious even with her eyes covered by reflective black sunglasses but she continued nonetheless, "3) Due to this situation, we would like to invite you to train with certified trainers and members of the MON Squad* so you're properly equipped to protect the members staying with you."

I quirked an eyebrow, "I agreed with being made into their homestay but when did I agree to become their trained bodyguard?" I asked.

"As per the Interspecies Exchange Bill, extraspecies cannot attack humans and humans cannot attack extraspecies. As such, if any of the nonhumans staying here were to attack a human - even in self-defense - they would be arrested, detained in the nearest extraspecies jail and then trialed according to the bill," she sighed, shaking her head in obvious distaste for the bill, "I don't agree with it and how harsh it is but even in self-defense, nonhumans can brutally injure and kill their attackers...which unfortunately classes as overkill. But," she smirked, "As a hybrid, this bill doesn't apply to you because you are technically both human and nonhuman. Any lawyer worth their salt would be able to get you off of any charges thrown at you, and the Committee would supply a more than suitable lawyer if the occasion arose," she confidently grinned, seeming proud of herself.

...Huh. I saw the need for me to be used as a sort of bodyguard now. If the nonhumans with me attacked back, they'd at best get sent back home with some heavy fines and at worst get sent to jail.

And my very existence was a loophole. Kinda weird they hadn't patched that loophole up but then again, if they did I and other hybrids would be forcibly turned into pacifists and that would quickly spiral into a not-so good situation.

Legalities aside, I gave Ms. Smith a nod, "I get why but can't you find some human and extraspecies bodyguards? You know, trained ones. Professional ones," I asked, a more helpless tone to my voice.

"Do you know how much extra work that would give me? No thanks," she laughed, at my expense, before waving her hand away as if shooing away that very idea, "Yeah, no. Gathering a team like that would be soooo much paperwork and I already have so much to do anyway. Besides, you can call me for the extraspecies threats or the ones staying in your apartment could fight them. You only have to deal with the itty bitty human ones."

...True, true. She's not asking me to defeat some demon lord but instead asking me to bitch slap racists...and I've agreed to doing more life-threatening things than that, so I guess I'm game.

I gave a 'fair enough' expression, knowing just how annoying extra work is, and Ms. Smith smiled as if she'd found a kindred spirit. Then she lost the look and gave a serious look toward me, "So, Mr. Kimihito, are you saying you're okay with this whole deal?"

"Really? Now you're asking?" I scoffed, shaking my head with a smile, "I don't believe I have much of a choice but sure, I'll take up your 'offer', Ms. Smith."

"Great!" she beamed, looking over her shoulder and calling out, "Come on in, Mia*!"

(*A/N - Her name is usually spelt as 'Miia' with an extra 'i' but that's just a bit too much effort, so I'm not gonna do it. Doesn't even change how you pronounce her name either, so there's no point to it.)

The door to my apartment opened and in walked(?) a beautiful woman with long bright red hair and amber eyes with slit-like snake pupils. Her ears are large, pointy and red, and she had visible fangs seen as she gave a weak smile. She also has small scales on her cheeks and wears a yellow 'D' clip on each side of her head . She also has large breasts and a curvy figure.

She was utterly gorgeous. But there were two things I noticed almost instantly that were cause for a little concern.

I knew who this was. More importantly, I knew what she was. She's Mia, the first and arguably main heroine of 'Monster Musume' and she's also a Lamia. So I was expecting the snake lower body. I just wasn't ready to actually see it.

Seeing it in an anime and in real life was like night and day, man. Complete mind fuck, honestly.

I'd be the first to admit, however, that it didn't detract from her beauty or make her look ugly. Kinda gave her an exotic vibe. The impossible anime physique with massive boobs, a slender waist and wide hips definitely helped as well.

Shock from seeing a very large snake tail aside, I was also caught off guard by how the redhead was shaking and shivering as she dragged her suitcase behind her, "H-h-hello!" she tried to tough through the cold she was feeling but unlike a human where she'd be completely fine, she was a Lamia. A snake. Aka she was coldblooded.

I looked toward Ms. Smith, "Please tell me you didn't make a Lamia wait outside my apartment door for an entire conversation purely so you could have them make a dramatic entrance?"

That couldn't be the case, right? It just had to be an unrealistic coincidence, right? Right?

Sadly, it seemed I'd underestimated who I was talking to.

The human woman averted her gaze, a weak smile on her face as her cheeks flushed a little red in embarrassment, "Uh, well...maybe?" she answered, not being able to look at me as she took the coffee mug and began sipping it as if to focus on it to take away from her embarrassment.

I groaned, shaking my head in disbelief as I got up and rushed toward the Lamia's side. Her shaking seemed to lessen a little upon entering the apartment but it was far from enough.

"Hey there, Mia," I gave a comforting smile as I got next to the woman, "My name's Kimihito Kurusu and I'll be your roommate from now on, so let's look out for each other from now on, yeah?" I said before taking her suitcase from her bone white hand - not her natural complexion, I'm sure, but something to do with how cold she is - and put it off to the side as I snaked my arm underneath where her legs/knees would be if she had either of those.

Either way, all you need to know is that I picked her up in a princess carry.

She seemed either embarrassed or against the situation for a moment but soon enough I felt her tail wrap around me for both stability and for my body heat, no doubt. I gave her another comforting smile as I nodded to her that I was gonna start moving now.

She returned the nod, a weak smile on her face as she shyly rested her head against my chest. Like this, I walked toward the second bedroom in my apartment.

I had a total of three bedrooms in my apartment - courtesy of how much money was left behind by my dad before he disappeared - alongside a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a laundry room. A very big apartment, honestly, and possibly the best one for my circumstances, if not for the fact that the living room was so cramped.

The entire apartment came fully furnished, so luckily there was a bed and whatnot inside the bedroom I was taking Mia towards and I laid her down on it while she reluctantly uncoiled her tail from around me.

I wrapped her up in blankets, regardless of her clothes still being on, and told her I'd be back soon.

Exiting the room, I called for Ms. Smith to close my front door while I made my way to the kitchen. I heated some water up with an electric kettle and then poured it into a hot water bottle.

I took it back to Mia and handed it to her after letting it cool a little. She was cold and needed heat but it wouldn't do to burn her with boiling hot water, would it? I've only just taken Ms. Smith up on the offer and it'd be annoying to lose my new 'job' already.

"There," I smiled, looking down at Mia who looked ridiculously cute all wrapped up in blankets and hugging a hot water bottle, "You feeling better?" I asked.

She nodded, "Y-yep," she stuttered but obviously not because of the cold, "Thank you, Kimihito-san," she bashfully replied.

I waved a hand at her, "Please, just call me Kurusu. And it's no problem at all, Mia," I informed her and I don't know what possessed me but I rubbed the top of her head, patting her like you would a cat as her cuteness was just too much for me to handle. She closed her eyes, her cheeks flushing bright red as she subtly pushed her head against my hand. When her eyes next opened, her pupils were dilated massively, looking up at me from barely over the covers as I smiled down at her.

Retracting my hand, I slowly began to realize that I'd done exactly what had happened in the show...which meant Mia had probably already started gaining feelings for me. Truly, this is an anime-like world, huh? Where girls fall hard and fast for guys they don't even know.

Kinda weird but we're just gonna skate right past that!

Coughing into my hand, I went to speak to her again, to apologize for the sudden head patting...but Mia was already asleep. A soft smile spread across my lips and I turned around, leaving the room.

I had a certain woman to lecture on not leaving coldblooded nonhumans outside on cold days, after all.
