Dream walker

Monke limped down the loud hallway of Beloni 3rd high school. The school was established to create athletes and fighters so the two kinds of people always clash with one another, even if the fighter classes are limited to a few people of certain status.

It also housed those interested in vocational or commercial studies. It was the biggest high school in the 3rd district official name Dream walker district and it only accepted students who have the potential of moving into the Inner circle.

As he walked Monke would occasionally look up the ceiling he couldn't shake off the feeling that someone might have been following him. It got even worse as along the hallway on the walls void of classrooms, were framed pictures of rigid old men in suits most black and a few white hung on the walls. They were blue and cream white and had the names of the old men scribbled at the bottom.

Monke finally arrived at a nearby toilet. It smelled of tobacco and human excretes at the same time. Graffiti was everywhere and some stalls didn't have any doors. A bit to the back after walking into the whole thing, Monke spotted some boys enjoying themselves and laughing out loud.

As soon as they saw him their voices dimmed and the ones who were sprawled up on the floor stood up. Monke waved and they waved back. Now, it was silent. He stood at the entrance looking at them hoping to hear something. Nothing. He then awkwardly walked to the sink and looked himself on the only mirror in the toilet.

He opened the tap and started to wash his face. With every drop of water coming into contact with his skin the events of the morning replayed themself. It was frustrating, the more he recalled, the darker it became.

What were those kids looking for? Why would a building on his neighboring territories suddenly collapse?

Even though he didn't have the answers to those questions, he knew that he had to investigate. The only problem being that he didn't know where to start and who to ask.

Monke raised his head and closed the tap. Out of his thoughts and back into the world he realized that those boys had already left. 'It's bothersome, they must've thought that I'll beat them up to flush out my frustration.'

He looked at his hands and they were rough, his nails were a bit shrunken in but still looked better than the others. Most fighters in the district looked like savages, especially the ones scouted from towns and villages.

Monke undid his tie and unbuttoned his shirt while looking himself in the mirror he smiled. His smile grew wider and wider. 'I forgot to borrow some needles.' A light chuckle escaped and he abandoned his mission.

"Ew!" Joao's voice squirmed in.

"Sies," from behind Joao was Po making spitting noises as he walked on the tips of his shoes.

A second later the boys became visible to Monke and Joao was had some clothes folded up on his person. Monke changed into them and they went back to complete their morning classes.

The bell for break time hit and the students rushed out of the class before the teacher even finished talking. Joao and the others lagged behind, he didn't eat from the school cafeteria so he was okay.

Po currently had Monke on a headlock. Monke was desperately throwing weak punches all over the place none of which caused any real damage to Po. Po continuously tightened his grip on him.

"4buns, 4buns, 4buns." Po chanted,

"To hell with that..." Po squeezed even harder on Monke's neck as he tried to lay down his suggestion for today's lunch. Monke's eyes bulged and reddened, veins appeared on the sides of his head and his breathing was raspy.

"I think you're going to kill him," Joao said as he munched on his sandwich.

Monke finally fell to his knees and Po came down with him. After tapping on Po's arm three times Monke was finally released. He coughed as Po ran back laughing.

"So I guess we're having 4bun for lunch." He said as he bent over into Monke's bag to go through it and brought out some money.

Monke was still on his knees and recovering from the dizziness caused by Po's grapple. But he quickly got up even before he could fully see well, swaying around not finding flat ground to stand on.

Monke threw himself forward. Joao saw him getting up and had already moved out of the way. Po on the other hand realized too late he should have knocked Monke out.

CRASH!

Monke's shoulder followed by his whole body landed on Po, pinning him to the chairs. The money on Po's hand slipped away and crashed to the ground.

"Bloody bastard," Po said with a chuckled.

The two of them were now hungry and almost immobile. They laid on the chairs lifelessly laughing at their rash thoughts which they had no plans to learn from at all.

One by one their classmates started to return, the noise in the class also picked up until it started to sound like it was up to capacity. Monke started to fade out the noises again. He could feel every sore, around his neck, his left leg, and knees. They felt like they were radiating, the more he focused on them the more the pain felt like it was subsidizing.

FWOOSH!

BANG!

The back door to their classroom flew open and almost flew off after it crashed against the frame. Everyone immediately turned their attention to it. There stood a student who looked worse than Monke from that morning.

"Magic?" Monke whispered because no one was allowed to use the back door. It was a sign of disrespect or at times even a challenge to the leader of said class.

The other students knew immediately to ignore him and go about their normal day. The boy marched towards Monke and Po but Joao stood in his way.

"Move you peasant." He said under his heavy breaths.

Joao didn't move and continued to sip from his juice box. The boy tried to grab Joao's tie but got his hand smacked away. He frowned and his face fired up with rage he again tried to grab Joao but his hand got smacked away again.

He tried to grab Joao's neck and his hand got smacked away with even more force this time. They did this again and again until he started to cry. Joao could see that he had been badly beaten up, but he couldn't let him through unless he had a good reason.

"Let... let m... e through you peasant." His voice cracked up and he tried with both hands now to grab Joao, Joao moved in placed his palm on the boy's stomach. He was blown away and began to sob culled up on the ground a few feet away from Joao.

The other students weren't even bothered by the scene, they had better things to talk about and a lesson to prepare for.

Although Monke didn't see it happen he heard that somebody got knocked down. So he flung Po off the chairs and got up to walk over to the incident.

"Why did you do that?" he asked Joao in a calm voice.

"He used the back door," Joao said as he pointed at the injured guy. "Plus he is not even wearing his school uniform, he could be an enemy."

Monke nodded and walked over to the guy. He flicked him over and immediately recognized him. "Hey, this is one of our guys." He called back to Joao who raised his shoulders and backed away.

"What are you doing here?" Monke asked.

"KING!" The boy yelled with excitement bouncing off of his voice. "You have to come, me and the other guys were ambushed at Merry Block."
