MOBA Gaming System

Life was boring for Rex, everyday was mundane and everything was common and well, until that message prompt appeared in his life. Life became interesting but now it seems that being bored was always a better choice than the warlike life he has started to live. *Author Note* I am just trying my hand at that system thingy so don't blame me if it's a bit inconsistent with the power scale.

Testing

The first thing I did when I reached home was rush to the bathroom and breathe heavily, trying to calm my nerves.

The first and last strike had Warmonger added in it and it was a devastating strike. That strike had lifted Harold off the ground until gravity and the phantom slash slammed him down.

The damage could only be imagined, if I had been even 1 or 2 levels higher, I could have completely killed off Harold, or worse put him in a vegetative state.

'I could have killed off Harold', I breathed heavily. The adrenaline died down and a bit of remorse came upon me.

Harold only survived because as a normal human he was 8 levels higher than me.

Putting nearly killing a kid aside, the greatest question that came upon me was, 'Meteoric Blade was activated with a branch !!!', 'It doesn't need a sword ?'.

This naturally warranted my attention as I had been banging my head for quite some time as to how to get the Meteoric Sword Argus wielded.

But if the Skill didn't require a Sword to activate, it would shave off quite a few problems.

'Is this what they call Plot ?'

I immediately wanted to test my theory, but looking at my face in the mirror and hearing my loudly beating heart made me stop.

Everything can be explored slowly, mistakes will happen if I am in a rush. Mistakes I am not sure I can even shrug off.

So after dinner, I simply went to sleep.

The next day I asked for a leave and sat at the garage. My father did complain about this but my mother effectively ended him with a smile.

I win. *smirk*

As I wasn't sure as to what qualified me using the skill, I picked up all sorts of items to test the skill Meteoric Blade.

The first item 'The Wooden Baseball Bat' exploded after the third try. It was like charging a Phone from the energy of a Lightning. It does not go well for the Phone and the same can be said for the Bat.

After the eight and ninth item, I realised that the more closer the item is to a sword the better it can channel the Skill.

For example, even if I wanted to I couldn't use the Brick to channel the Skill. The very moment the Skill activates the Brick breaks in two.

The reason why this happens even though it's simply a skill is because of the way it works. The Skill uses a mix of Abyssal and Malice Energy to flow like a Blade, unless the item is like a sword it will split the item.

Abyssal energy is corrosive and chaotic, while Malice energy is explosive and demonic. That is why even if the item was genuinely a metal sword, it would crumble after some seventh or eighth swing.

That is to say unless the material is a special one like Vibranium, Uru, or the Meteoric Sword of Argus in itself, the blades will always break.

I was a disappointed but good news is at least I can attack. I wonder if I can use this inefficient way of using the skill to break open locks.

Hmmm food for thought, thinking this I immediately set to try this hidden function.

It worked but it has limitations, all locks were split in two. As if divided by a cleaver they all broke in two. But for the larger objects such as Cars or Trees, it worked worse.

Let's say I nearly knocked myself over because I suddenly lost a huge amount of Stamina and all it did was chip the wood and scratch the car.

The larger the material the more widespread the energy.

The Stamina part was getting at me and I realised Argus never used Mana even though he was an Angel and even after falling to the Abyss he was still unable to use Mana.

So all his skills should require a little amount of Stamina that is naturally recovered with CD time.

After all my tests I realised, it had been about 3 or 4 hrs and the fatigue had begun to pile up. Even if the Stamina is recoverable during CD, it does not mean that I won't ever get tired. At most I will be able to keep on fighting and swinging my sword.

The reason why we get tired and fatigue build up is because our muscles and body get tired after use and tear. That's why even exercising leaves us exhausted when Stamina wasted on exercise can be recovered after a hour or so.

The reason why I am explaining this is because many people think just fighting and using skills while sparring or training should never tire a human. I say to them read more Chinese shit and stay in that Chinese shit where meditating for so long doesn't break someone's Spine and Butt when it should. Also why would you fight after training like 5 minutes ago, that'd be like saying, 'Look at me my muscles are tired and I risk a cramp in a fight, I am such an idiot and a damsel in distress whose hidden ancestor or hidden teacher in a ring will always help out'. Might as well name the book 'The Stupid Idiot That Depends Too Much On Cheats, Who Also Happens To Rape, Who Also Always Fights Everything And Everyone Without Regard To Logic Or Whatsoever And Somehow Becomes Your Favourite Hero' rather than domineering names like 'Above All Gods'. Sigh Japan really is unpretentious in this matter.

Anyway my little rant aside we should focus on the bigger things, like levelling up, which is again making me bang my head all over the place.

Wait a minute, I have lunch right in front of me so why should I scavenge for it.

Why have I never thought of this before ?.

'But Rex they are just kids !!!'. ( Rex is talking to himself in his mind like I do sometimes, okay many times ).

Who cares, the last thing I need is moral integrity when I am the damn victim. It's not like I am gonna kill them, at most I would put them in the infirmary or the hospital.

In game terms since the NPC can revive why not farm some EXP and Loot from it.

*Scene Change*

Harold did not have a good day and he was having an even badder evening. He woke up from the ground alone. 'Very nice' he sarcastically thought, his friends/minions had left him alone on the cold floor.

He somehow stood up and limped home, rang the door bell, it took a while for the door to open and when it did he saw the pensive face of his mother as the door swung wide open.

Noticing her shaky smile he wanted to ask what was wrong, but before he could gather his thoughts his mother ushered him in.

Uncaring of his wounds, his mother dragged him to the Dining room and in an instant he felt the change. Like walking from a warm corridor to one filled with ice.

He could only look at the man sitting beside his father. His father had even lowered his head when he himself had said to Harold before to 'Never Lower Ones Head'.

The man like a drug addict and a noble mixed together glared at his father. Moving his broad hat he chillingly said, "Well now I don't have to search for your son anymore".

Uncaring of Harold's curious gaze, he sarcastically continued, "What'd I say ?, be subtle, lowkey".

Grabbing Harold's father's head the man immediately slammed it on the dining table. Blood spurted out his father's head, his mother's gaze paled.

Licking the blood the man then continued, "Does the FBI and the Supernatural Task Force prancing at the town seem subtle and lowkey to you ?".

Harold's father immediately replied "It wasn't my fault...".

Before his father could complete his words the man continued, "Do you think I care ?, you have read the contract haven't you Blood Bag ?. You are subordinate to my Vampire Coven and will do as we say".

He then peered his gaze at Harold and said, "Remember your Son's life is the gift given by us... I do wonder though what does an unawakened Vampire tastes like".

Then he sniffed the air a few times advocating his threat, but then as if taking Garlic in face he growled out, "A Demon no, an Angel... maybe, A Fallen..."

Looking at Harold he suddenly appeared in front of the former and lifted him by his collar, "Where did you interact with the Fallen ?".

Harold crippled by fear could only stay silent. His father running over grovelled at the Vampire's feet, "Sir he is unrelated to this pleazgh..."

The Vampire immediately kicked him, slamming him at the cupboard beside the dining table. Harold's mother ran toward Harold's father stifling her panicked cries.

Biting Harold and drinking a bit of his blood the Vampire then said aloud for all the participants to listen, "Hahaha, a Fallen attacked him, but the smell and aura is weak, it's as if the Fallen was just born and it's also not completely a Fallen".

In that instant the Vampire already planned to give Rex to one of his Elders after all there never has been a Half Fallen before. A specimen like that would not only arouse the interest of the Vampires but also grant him favour.

But with the FBI and Supernatural Task Force moving around the Vampire could only scurry around and basically make no large waves. Then he had an idea so amazing that Villains from Power Rangers would be proud of.

The creepy smile on his face twisting into a wide grin The Vampire softly whispered to the scared Harold.

"Hmmm Harold was it ?... How would you like to be my Familiar".
