MMORPG: Rebirth Of The Strongest Mage

Everdawn. It was a game that was released to the public in 2025. What made it a hit was that it was the first-ever V.R.M.M.O.R.P.G released to the public. In no time it became the best game in the world. Soon people started to create things called “guilds”. These guilds were like the teams in E-Sports. However, they were more like companies. This was thanks to the game's “money” feature where you could trade in-game money for IRL cash. Elias Thorne was one of the greatest players in Everdawn. With his skills, he was able to be a part of the Valhalla guild however, fearing his power the guild kicked him out but not before stealing his account. However, out of pettiness, they gave him a small item that he had received from one of his first quests. But the next thing he knew he was back in time 14 years before Everdawn was released. With his newfound knowledge of the future, he was going to rise to the top and get revenge on those who betrayed him.

Everdawn (1)

It had been around 3 days since we were assigned the project and I had already finished my part of the code. I had completed it on the day we had gotten the assignment and I finished the work my other classes had given me.

So whenever we had a "group" work period I'd just type up my plan.

This was one such work period.

But calling it a "group" work period would be wrong. It was just me and Kiara who were doing the work.

"I finished my part of the code," hearing that I nodded "Good,"

"Shall we work on the presentation next time," however, she frowned "Did she-"

I already knew what she was going to say so I cut her off.

"No,"

"How do you know?"

Tapping on my computer a few times I turned the monitor showing her Aubree's page. They showed her partying causing Kiara to freeze.

"Well, I got some work to do soo," Getting up from the desk and shutting the computer down I made my way back to my dorm room.

However, as I was walking my phone rang with a message.

[Your Package has arrived]

A smile formed on my face as I made my way to the post office. Entering the place I didn't see any people around so I quickly entered and showed my ID to the employee.

After checking my ID he went to the back and carried a package and gave it to me allowing me to go back to my dorm room. Once I had made it to my dorm room I quickly opened the package revealing a grey helmet.

I had gotten a lot of money and with the cost of the helmet, I still had 300 dollars left. However, I remembered that I had to buy the game which meant I would only have 150 bucks left.

"Damn it,"

After getting everything set up I put the helmet on my head and turned it on.

When I opened my eyes again I was standing in the virtual plain. Then many other security checks happened allowing me to finally go to the shop and buy Everdawn.

I waited for a while and finally, Everdawn was installed.

[Would you like to start Everdawn?]

[Y/N]

Clicking yes I was suddenly then standing on a grey platform in a black area before a status window appeared before me.

[Pick Your name]

Thinking for a bit I decided to settle on one name.

[Lugh]

Then another window popped up.

[Choose Your Race]

Without hesitation I chose human.

I then had to choose my class and chose [Magician].

With it, I was given a choice to choose 2 spells.

__________________________

Arcane Bolt [D-Tier]

Fireball [D-Tier]

Mana Wel [D-Tier]

Magic Barrier [D-Tier]

Fire Blast [D-Tier]

Arcane Imbue [C-Tier]

__________________________

Looking over the spells I laughed as I saw Arcane Imbue. The ranks for spells went as such D-Tier, C-Tier, B-Tier, A-Tier, S-Tier, and EX-Tier.

Despite what you might think Arcane Imbue was one of the worst skills on this list. For starters, the noobs wouldn't have anything to imbue in. They can't even imbue it in their bodies just weapons or other spells. The skill wasn't good until you reached like level 40.

So I quickly chose my 2 skills.

[Fire Blast] and [Magic Barrier]

I then opened my status window.

The Magician class wasn't the greatest starting point. Like in many other games, their defense and agility weren't great thus forcing them to team up with other players.

However, Everdawn was a different story…kinda.

Around 3 weeks after Everdawn was launched some dumbass posted how to do a glitch so the magicians could get the [Dash] skill.

[Dash] was basically like instant small-range teleportation. However, it was only for the warrior classes meaning classes like the magicians wouldn't be able to get skills like that.

But turns out there was a glitch where the magician class would be able to get the skill and I knew the best place to get it.

"But first I need to get this shit off,"

What I was currently wearing was some shitty starter wizard clothing. After taking off the leather armour which only left me in my shirt and pants I made my way to the place where I could get the skill.

As Andy opened his eyes what greeted him was the sight of a medieval-type village. Looking around he saw many people who he presumed to be NPC's walking. A sudden gust of wind hit his face causing him to be impressed.

"Is this really all just code?"

As he was questioning this he looked around and saw three people in the distance. Walking toward them he greeted them.

"Yo, this game is really sick!"

"Tell me about it. It's like this is reality,"

"Forget about all that! Let's start leveling up!"

Hearing that they all nodded however before they could do anything they saw a guy in plain clothes walking out of the town.

"Hey check it, I think that dude got a quest," Hearing that they all looked at the plained clothed youth walking out.

"Let's follow him," One of them suggested

Nodding they started to follow him.

***

"Whew, that was a long walk," Looking at the scenery in the distance a smile appeared on my face.

'Looks sick no matter how many times I see it'

I then walked near the cliff and saw a small platform on the cliff.

"Let's go,"

With a breath I jumped off the cliff, however, after 1 second I landed on the platform that was beneath me.

After landing a notification appeared before me.

-Ding

[You've learned the skill [Dash]!]

Looking at the message a grin appeared on my face. Stretching my limbs I jumped on the cliff and activated the skill. The next second I appeared on top of the cliff with a grin.

The glitch itself was simple.

All you had to do was choose the magician class however, you could only use the human race. That's why I didn't choose the elves who were a better choice for magic as the glitch didn't for them.

Anyways then you need to drop really fast for about 1.5 meter drop and then you get the skill.

With a smirk, I pointed the staff at the ground.

"Explode"

*BOOM*

The ground beneath me started to crumble.

"Good luck trying to find another glitch spot,"

I then heard the bushes behind me russel causing a smile to form on my face "Seems like some pray have appeared.
