"What the hell is that thing?!"
"It's a goddamn Grim Reaper! We can't fight that shit—we have to run away!!!"
"A-A Grim Reaper?!"
"You dumbass, they're spirits summoned from the underworld. If we go up against it, it's gonna reap our souls and take us back with it!"
"You have to be kidding me…"
Two Members of the Fraud Phantom Mutiny blocked the entrance into the lobby of the Guild Base, holding onto their Rare-Grade equipment.
One was a bow, and the other was a long sword, carved with ancient symbols.
"It's heading our way… let's make a run for it!"
"B-But we can't! We have to protect our leader!!"
"You fool, didn't you hear me?! It's a spirit from the underworld, we can't defeat that!!"
"Then I'll die trying! Heeeyaaahh!" The player ran towards the Grim Reaper, holding his long sword with both hands and jabbing it into the floating spirit.
"Huroooaaahhhh!" The spirit released a deafening shriek, piercing their eardrums.
"Gaaah… I-It's too loud!" He dropped his sword and covered his ears, slowly stepping back.
"Gyaaah!" The other player dropped his bow to cover his ears, pushing open the door and running for his life.
"W-Where are you going?! You coward!" The one who attacked would turn around, watching his teammate escape, "Damnit- huh?!" All of a sudden, he could feel himself spinning around.
It didn't take long to notice that his head had been severed from his body.
It crashed into the wall, removed from his torso. He could only blink, finally registering the situation he was in.
("No… I… can't die… I…can't....die….")
His consciousness slowly faded away, as his body vanished into data particles, along with his blood.
The Grim Reaper would burst through the doors into the lobby of the Guild, extending its skeletal arm forward, and casting a spell.
The members in the lobby all had their weapons, whilst Mage class players launched spells of all kinds; from Celestial spells, and Elemental spells, to Debuff spells.
They all hurdled towards the spirit in an attempt to overpower it.
But… little did they know, their attack was being absorbed from an invisible Forcefield.
"What the hell is going on?! Why are our attacks not working?" A Mage class shouted.
"I think it's absorbing it…" A Knight class responded.
"Shit, shit!! We're gonna fucking die aren't we?!"
"Don't falter now, keep attacking!" A high-class mage ordered the other players, boasting their motivation.
Light attacks, dark attacks, fire attacks, ice attacks, air attacks, earth attacks.
Arrows, Celestial power, Debuff spells.
All of them would hit the Grim Reaper and be absorbed.
They kept attacking it, not caring if their spells were doing anything.
They believed that they would pierce through it's Forcefield, but in the end… they only made it worse.
"W-Wait a second… it's…"
"It's going to throw everything back at us!!!"
"You have to be fucking with me…"
The Grim Reaper would cast a magical circle in front of its skeletal palm, firing hundreds of rays toward the enemies.
Each ray of light would collide with the players inside the lobby, piercing through their bodies and exploding them upon impact.
Their body parts danced within the air, as blood and gore painted the room.
Legolas slowly limped into the lobby, holding onto his arm, barely able to stand.
"…Good riddance."
The Grim Reaper and Legolas continued making their way through the Guild Base in search of Alice and Jacob.
"I see now… it makes sense to why I'm tired. The Grim Reaper is draining all of my mana the longer it stays out—and when my mana runs out, my soul will be taken as part of the deal for its summoning."
In Isekai World Online, all players have different life points and mana points depending on their level. The caps for reaching higher life and mana points are:
{Level 1-10: Life points (20) Mana Points (20)
Level 11-20: Life points (40) Mana Points (40)
Level 21-30: Life points (60) Mana Points (60)
Level 31-40: Life points (80) Mana Points (80)
Level 41-50: Life points (100) Mana Points (100)
Level 51-60: Life points (120) Mana Points (120)
Level 61-70: Life points (140) Mana Points (140)
Level 71-80: Life points (160) Mana Points (160)
Level 81-90: Life points (180) Mana Points (180)
Level 100: Life points (200) Mana Points (200)}
Currently, Legolas was only level 30, so he only consisted of 60 life points and 60 mana points.
From this, the Grim Reaper can only stay active for 60 minutes.
The elf knew that he had to make every minute count, so he killed what must be killed, and destroyed what must be destroyed.
"Set this room ablaze…" Legolas ordered the spirit, and so it followed the command.
The Underworld Spirit would use A-tier Elemental magic, setting the lobby on fire. They walked from the lobby, making their way into the next room, where the cafeteria was.
Hundreds of other players were waiting inside, but they were visibly shaking, seeing how the members in the lobby were easily handled.
"P-Please… spare us!" An elf fell to their hands and knees, conjoining her hands together in prayer, "We'll give you anything you want! A-Anything!"
The other guild members fell to their knees, doing the same thing as her.
They gave up hope, they knew they couldn't win against the Grim Reaper.
Two ladies crawled towards Legolas, as a human girl slowly pulled their shirt to the side, exposing their shoulders, and hints of their breast, "You can have our bodies… we'll willingly give them up to you if you spare us."
Another one did the same, she appeared to be an elf, "Yes… you can use me to your desires, and do anything you want with me. Just spare our lives, please… I-I'll even be a loyal mother once I have your children! Ahahaha…!"
"…." Legolas glanced at the two women, his eyes full of hatred, and yet, he responded with, "Fine."
"W-What?! Really?" The elf girl stood up and hesitantly hugged him around his waist.
The other human girl did the same, clinging onto his shoulder, "Th-Thank you so much!"
"What are you two doing?" Legolas asked, raspy in his voice.
"H-Huh?" The elf girl looked terrified.
"Y-You said you'll spare our lives… right?" The human girl asked.
"No, I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to my spirit."
"What??" They backed away, tripping over nothing.
They couldn't even walk as fear engulfed their bodies.
"He told me to spare nobody… and kill everyone here," Legolas crazily smiled, "You see… my Grim Reaper here is sorta greedy, and he's always hungry for more death! You two will do just fine as the appetizers!!"
"No… stop… please!" The floating spirit would grasp the elf girl around her neck, holding her up into the air, "Gaaack…! Don't kill me… please… don't kill me!" She closed her eyes, starting to cry, attempting to hit the spirit's skeletal hand with her weak fists.
"I wonder if the underworld is a pleasant place, I guess you'll be able to find out, huh?"
"Stop…!" She released a strained voice, feeling the spirit grasp a chunk of her flesh located on her hip, ripping it apart! "A-Aaahhhhhhhh!! My body! My body! Aaaaaahhhhh!!!" She kicked her legs back and forth as her eyes widened in pure agony. Her body was fueled with adrenaline, trying to kick her legs back and forth, attempting to hit the spirit.
But she failed.
Her struggle was in vain.
The elf eventually gave up… and it was shown that she had died.
Her soul was absorbed by the spirit and sent into its endless stomach.
The human girl next to them couldn't even move, she was far too terrified. Blood covered her face from her friend being ripped apart—knowing she was next.
Hundreds of players got up and screamed, running away like cattle inside a den.
The Human girl felt her head being lopped off from a massive scythe, as her soul was absorbed into the spirit.
"That's right… run! Cower in fear!! You bastards should be thankful that I'm killing you! From the pain I suffered… this is an act of mercy. If I was so petty, all of you would be suffering endlessly!!!"
They tried to open the doors from the cafeteria, but they were locked.
Two large spirits blocked the doors of the cafeteria, preventing escape.
"W-What the hell is going on? Two spirits are outside blocking the doors! We can't leave!" Cried a Knight Class.
"They're spirits from the underworld, working under the Grim Reaper. You have no chance of escaping—if I were all of you, I would spend my last days fighting. But, you all lost the Will to do that, haven't you? Hahaha!!!"
"You've gone on long enough… intruder."
A familiar voice was heard behind Legolas, as he halted his laughing, slowly turning around.
Honora was there, one of the top members of the Fraud Phantom Mutiny.
…But not only her.
It was all of them.
Viper Fang, Honora, Isabella, Bertram, Pocchi, Dorothy, and Archibald.
Legolas frowned, shouting, "You… bastards!!!!"
