CHAPTER 10

"Peterson, she's already here," Dave said after he opened the door and he entered his friend's room.

"She has already accepted my offer to work with you. I just want to let you know. She's still downstairs." Dave said again.

"Peterson, I just want you to meet her." Dave smiled while he mentioned Sofia to Peterson.

"Wait, I called her on her phone downstairs to come here upstairs," Dave said excitedly to Peterson but his friend wasn't excited or happy with Dave's decision to take a personal caregiver and look after him.

Peterson doesn't budge on what Dave says to him. He thought that his friend didn't seem to want him anymore and so Dave wanted to pass him on to others to take care of him.

Peterson was so sad.

He doesn't want to meet the woman Dave mentions who will look after and take care of him while Dave isn't by his side.

Peterson thought of torturing the woman so that his friend would still come to him every day and visit him as he often did.

Even though Dave was busy managing what he left in the company.

Dave came out of Peterson's room to meet the woman he was telling him about.

Dave can't just leave me and leave me to that woman. Peterson whispered to himself as he lay on the bed.

Peterson's heart was still pounding as he wondered what he could do to the woman in the time that Dave had left it by his side.

"Sofia, come up here." Sofia heard Dave say as she answered her phone when she heard it ring.

"I already told him. Come on, I'll introduce you to him." Dave said again and traced his excitement as he called Sofia to go upstairs and introduce her to his friend.

Sofia stood up in the chair to follow Dave. Her feet walked up the steps of the stairs nervously.

She was still unaware of what she would see upstairs, in Dave's friend's room.

She was also nervous and her chest throbbed at this moment while she was thinking about what Dave said before he went upstairs about what manners of Dave's friend she would meet today.

"Finally you're here." Dave was still smiling as he approached her.

As Sofia stares at Dave. She looks at how it communicates to her and how it deals with her.

This is far from what Trina mentioned to her in its seriousness and silence every time he goes to the club.

"Sofia, as I told you. It's up to you to be patient with him for whatever you hear or he tells you." Dave said, holding her hand again which surprised her as her heart pounded and sped up.

"He is kind, I already mentioned it to you, didn't I? He was the only person who helped me then. That's why I want to help him get back to his old life."

Sofia still didn't know what Dave's words meant. She could not predict.

What kind of life does his friend have? He is very rich.

What life will it bring back? He doesn't seem to be going through anything with the amount of money he has.

He was too rich to have a problem.

Sofia whispers as Dave chatters and purely reminds her and pleads.

Dave invited him to a door where it stood when he saw her.

It held Sofia's hand. So Sofia's nervousness and heartbeat did not go away.

Dave opened the door and they entered at the same time Dave was still holding Sofia's hand.

Peterson heard the woman ask Dave why he was holding her hand as they entered the room.

Peterson heard Dave's faint laugh.

Peterson would have liked to look at the two and see its grip on the woman's hands.

Even Dave's face while smiling at the woman and he thinks his friend is happy while holding the woman's hand.

But he can't do it.

He had also not seen his friend's smiles for a long time. Especially now that he just heard it was fun with a woman. When he couldn't even see.

Who is she?

Who is that woman?

Why would Dave and she hold hands?

Is she Dave's girlfriend?

Strongly nervous Peterson predicts the relationship that envelops the two he sees.

He thought deeply about what Dave's relationship with the woman was.

He thought so too. Is that why Dave is so happy to say that the woman agreed to work with me as my caregiver? Peterson asked himself as he only heard and noticed while Dave was with the woman.

Peterson could feel Dave's wide smile that he imagined in his mind that he didn't know if it was in the direction of his eye that he was thinking. That the two are standing?

Smiling Dave turned to Sofia and a thin smile also returned to Dave.

"Peterson, it's Sofia," Dave said as he turned to Sofia.

"Sofia, it's Peterson. He's the one I'm telling you about."

Peterson still heard Dave say as he felt Dave take one of his hands and lift it, to put in the woman's hand. To shake hands.

Peterson was surprised to feel the woman's hand. The warmth of its palm when he touched seemed to crawl and convey a strange feeling to his body.

Peterson immediately withdrew his hand. "That's enough," he said to the friend as he spoke.

Sofia was shocked by Dave's friend's behavior. It was a bit arrogant and it was not good behavior as well, the same as what she distinguished played in his mind. When she saw it, Dave and she were entering.

"Peterson, if I'm not there, Sofia will take care of you. She will take care of bringing you food here in the room. She will also take care of you and assign everything you need whenever I am away." Dave said first.

"Peterson, Sofia is here on her available days and times. I, on the other hand, at times when he is not here. I'm going to take care of you." Dave added.

"She is still studying, but she is also graduating this school year." Sofia looked at Dave.

Sofia is confused as to how Dave finds out some of her information.

How did he know I was graduating? Sofia thought as she looked at the two while Dave was still talking to his friend who would be her boss the moment she started working on it.

Sofia's eyes widen while wandering in the room as she waits for the two after Dave pleads with his friend to agree to what he wants to be their set-up.

Sofia hears what Dave and Peterson are talking about, about the company that Peterson owns that Dave is now in charge of while Dave's friend is here in the dark room.

Sofia wonders why any light other than the light that is a bit gloomy is the only one in the room of Dave's friend.

What's wrong with his friend? Why is Dave doing everything and overseeing everything his friend should be doing?

She didn't notice anything different from Dave's friend. Sofia looked at it normally as she secretly glanced at it.

To what Sofia's ears could hear. She couldn't believe Dave turned out everything now to supervise his friend's needs. Same with his company.

Regrets that Sofia also feels sorry for Dave.

Sofia thinks it looks too hard and too heavy for Dave, and that his friend will rely on him for everything.

Sofia sighed deeply as she leaned against a solid wall that she thinks felt like a wooden wall.

Again Sofia stared at the two she felt as she saw that the two were getting along as they were talking.

Sofia thinks Peterson has already agreed to Dave's plea to him.

Sofia saw the plain smile on Dave's face as he was serious while he was talking to his friend in the past few minutes.
