Chapter five - warmth 3

" dad that's bribe, bribing someone is not good,no matter the age of the person but, I'll reluctantly accept the bribe after all you're my father " she says with the look of 'I have no other choice but to accept it' on her face.

The couple bursts out in laughter

" Yes yes I've heard you madam, you'll accept the bribe reluctantly" Mr Shen says amidst laughter.

" Look at the smug look on her face,it's as if that's what is meant to be" says Mrs Shen with a dissaproving look on her face but eyes filled with laughter.

" What can I do she's my little princess,who can I dote on if not her" Mr Shen responds

" That's right mother,if not me then who,if dad doesn't dote on me, he'll have no one to dote on,after all it is said that daughters are their father's lover in their previous life,be careful that I don't snatch father away from you" Shen xin says smuggly

" Look look, you've pampered her to the skies,see what she's saying to her mother" Mrs Shen complains to Mr Shen

" Honey, leave our daughter alone, she's just being mischievous" he consoles

" You're even speaking up for her,my heart is broken" she places her hand on her heart to express it

The dinning table is filled with laughter.

" Let's eat before the food gets cold" Mr Shen says,he picks up his chopsticks and others follows suit.

After dinner

The family site at the sitting room to talk.mr Shen is sitted at a single person chair and Mrs Shen and Shen xin are sitted together " So baby what do you want father to get for you? "Asks Mr Shen

" Dad,I just want to go to the temple to pray,I want to thank Buddha for keeping me and our family safe" Shen xin says

" That's good,you've finally grown up,you now care about the safety of our family" Mr Shen sighs

" Dad that's a lie,I've always cared about our family, don't wrongly accuse me, mother can bear me witness" Shen xin retorts

" Honey,what are you saying, our daughter is the most caring and loving daughter in the whole world,so don't wrongly say that about her" Mrs Shen defends her daughter, " I always want to go to the temple, xin'er has been having nightmares since she woke up from coma,I want to ask the monk there for a peace talisman and calming inscence to help her'

" That's fine with me,will also donate to the temple too,how about we go tomorrow morning,after we're done I'll go to the office" says Mr Shen

" Thanks mum and dad" says Shen xin

" Silky girl why are you thanking us, that's what we should have done,but you still haven't told me what you want daddy to get for you" says mr Shen

" Dad am fine with just going to the temple,you don't need to get me anything " says Shen xin.

" Xin'er just tell daddy what you want,or l should choose for you" says Mrs Shen

" honey why don't I just take her shopping for clothes and school stationeries,her school is about to resume" she says on behalf of Shen xin

" That'll be nice, I'll transfer fifty thousand yuan to your account now" Mr Shen says

" Thank you honey, xin'er say thank you to your father"

" Thank you dad,thank you mum, you're the best parent a child could ever ask for,I love you both so much" Shen says as she hugs her mum.
