Return of The Thieves (2)

'I should begin extracting information from her'

Making a small pole that supported the earth above my heads I looked at the woman in the ice statue.

Still in the same position as before I tied her to it.

Conscious of the gaze lingering on my back.

But nevertheless.

I should deal with the more presently hostile problem first, and it seemed like the strange plant controlling and covered woman named Celestia had no problems with my arrangement.

---

'This... man'

Feeling the tingling sensation of a foreign power enter her body and cause miniscule changes within her.

A complicated gaze landed on the strange inhuman beings back.

'It all started when I came in contact with him'

The Dryads numbered in a hundred.

Being the spirits of the world, generated to take care of the world.

They were granted authority to control the nature of this world and were birthed with an overwhelming affinity with plants.

Being the only beings who could manipulate plants to a high degree at birth.

Sadly only a hundred of such beings had been birthed.

And all but one had been sacrificed in the past to seal the Godly being called the Moonlord on the moon.

Said being, was one that desired for the destruction of the world.

So, being one of the last Dryad remaining in the world.

She was rather attuned to the natural flow of energy and its course of travel.

So it was no surprise that she could sense the strange energy that surreptitiously moved within her body.

Frowning at how the unknown energy, one that even she.

The youngest of the Dryads who had survived for over ten thousand years didn't know of.

She decided to let it be as it showed no malicious intent and just quietly resided within her body.

Not that she would forget about it of course.

From above in the sky, a small child shrouded within the clouds quietly laughed to themselves as they spun a small pencil in their hands.

Ignoring the sensation in her body.

She rather focused on the man who was the source of the strange energy.

Watching as how he used strange unusual powers similar to one of the past heroes who she caught sight of in the Minaft continent.

He continued to wrap the rope around the ice woman and bound them to the pillar.

The inhuman being who she didn't know whether to categorize as undead, human or some other species similar to humans such as a spirit.

She sighed quietly to herself.

'How I wish that my sisters were still alive they'll likely know what to do in my place'

Reminiscing her memories of being a child besides her older sister Dryads and their much more extensive knowledge.

As she dove into the sea of memories, the man who was the cause of these resurgence of memories was oblivious to her thoughts.

And was now doing something to the woman.

---

Breaking her out of the ice, she coughed out blood as the ice suddenly broke all over her body using her own body as a medium.

Seeing the blood seep out of her black mask I took it off of her face and wiped the blood off her face.

Seeing her face panic as she tried to hide her face from me, I felt slightly annoyed as I forced the unknown woman to look me straight in the eyes and opened my mouth.

"Hey!"

Ripping off the hood as well I was exposed to see who the woman was.

Pale white skin, green eyes and blond hair were the most eye catching features that I took in at face value.

She was a beauty to be sure.

However it was the sharp ears that attracted me.

The residents of this world.

Besides a different way of advancement, that being Swords and Magic to advance instead of my established convention of Science.

They were no different from humans except for the other races.

Because of their uniquely distinguishable ears or skin tones that differentiated each species from each other.

I now realized that this woman wasn't anywhere human and was instead some other race.

Not that it changed that she was a thief of course.

Wiping the astonishment on my face I grabbed the woman by her blond hair and stared at her green eyes with my unknown colored eyes.

And drew from within the knowledge of my previous world.

Turning my mask into one for intimidation I coughed and cleared my throat and made it a much deeper and intimidating voice.

"Why are you chasing me?"

---

The Elf woman fell into a daze as her identity of an elf was revealed to the man in front of her.

'This isn't good'

Falling into thought she thought about how things were reaching the point of a diplomatic incident between the Greedy humans and the Elf Kind.

'It's those fucking traitors of course'

Furrowing her brows in full view of the man, she ignored his glare and recalled the greedy human that they took into their care.

'We took care of you because you were pitiful and injured and because we are kind beings'

'But you repaid our kindness with betrayal and attacked our village'

Recalling how they had released the young man back to normal human civilization, knowing that their location had been exposed.

The young human returned with an expedition of soldiers and revealed his status of a noble.

When they had asked why he had done these things despite being incredibly helpful to his survival.

His answer stunned the Elven race as his soldiers captured and plundered the elven society hidden in the trees.

"Do I need a reason to capture the Elves of Human territory?"

Of course this news was kept from the humans and elves as this could spark an diplomatic incident and become the cause of a war.

So they had struck back against the now rich noble who had risen to fame by selling their kind, treasures and other things on the Auction house and the black market.

Flames of rage silently filled her mind as she looked at the man with an intimidating look to their face and her ears drooped down intimidated by the sight in front of her.

A cold look was pressing down on her as the man glared at her with Flaming orange eyes that were accentuated by the flaming head of black hair that seemed to make the very itself hot.

Lightly slapping her cheek the man opened his mouth again.

"I'll ask this again once and only once"

Manifesting a half of the twin daggers, he left a cut on her thigh and let the blood flow proving that he wasn't kidding.

"Who are you? And why are you chasing me?"

Looking at the human male she felt something stir within her as she felt compelled to open her mouth.

And she did.

She revealed all the information she could about her cohorts and her situation.

And hearing the situation a few things were made clear to Slade's mind as he connected the dots.

But the last most important piece of information was still missing so he let the words flow on his tongue.

"Ok than Elf, Last question"

Squirming on the ground while slightly confused at why she was revealing everything to a complete stranger, Slade didn't care for this confusion as he continued.

"Who is this Noble that betrayed your kind's kindness?"

And the answer that came back to me was one that didn't disappoint.

"His name is..."
