Myra pulled Kevin into a bigger hug. "I understand your pain. I also lost my Dad when I was 8 years old and since then, I've never had fatherly care."
He nuzzled his nose in her hair. "We're similar in a lot more ways than I thought."
He hugged her for a few more minutes before speaking. "What would you like to eat?"
"Anything." She replied, so Kevin brought out one of her mother's dishes- Cheese Lasagna, and Beef.
Myra helped him set the table and they settled down to eat.
"Thanks." She muttered when he added some pickles to her plate.
As she took the first bite, she recalled the woman they met back at the mall.
When Leslie called her a gold-digging bitch, Myra was so angry that she felt like smacking the hell out of her. She'd never once thought of getting together with Kevin because of his money.
She couldn't deny that Leslie was better than her in several ways, probably why she looked down on her and called her a leech.
