Kevin crouched to Alex's level. "Your sister was accused of taking some money from the company."
"NO, Myra would never do that!" Alex snapped angrily.
"Yes, kid. I know. That's why I'm working so hard to prove her innocence. I promise you she'll be out in no time." Kevin looked up at his mother, assuring them both.
"Thank you so much, sir," Angelina said, a tear slipping down her cheek. "I have no idea what we would have done right now, I'm so confused."
"It's okay, ma'am." Kevin faced Alex. "Kid, you have to be strong for your mother and your sister, okay?"
Alex nodded, sniffing and wiping his tears. "We need to meet her."
"Go this way," Kevin replied, pointing to the left hall he just walked out of, "that's the visiting room."
"Thank you, sir." Alex managed a smile and led his mother away.
He was quite sad when he saw his sister being led out by the prison guard, but he put on a mask of optimism.
