[The next day]

Year 52, February, Konoha

[3rd Person's POV]

"Umm…" Said Kushina as she woke up from her sleep, She didn't have her usual energetic face instead her face showed signs of fear. She remembered Minato coming back from his mission and seeing him in her home,

'Maybe he returned back to his house'

She got off her bed and fixed her hair which was all over her face, She went inside the bathroom in her room and started doing her morning activities.

While showering she kept on having negative thoughts like,

'Will Minato be angry at me because of Oba-san's death?'

'Will he not talk to me anymore?'

'Will the nine-tails get away?'

She didn't move and kept having thoughts like that when she suddenly heard a demonic voice, it sounded very scary enough to make her spine chill up,

[RELEASE ME IF YOU WANT TO BE FREE]

'Am I in a Genjutsu?'

[WE ARE BOTH TRAPPED]

"STOP!!"

[I CAN SAVE YOU]

"I said stop!!!"

She started feeling angry and shouted at the voice to make it stop, Her chakra chains which were sealing the nine-tails increased its grip which caused the voice to stop.

"Huff… huff…"

She quickly finished showering and got ready to go out of the house to meet Minato wherever he was. Just as she was about to step out two figures appeared in front of her, The figures were wearing black robes and were hiding their faces with a white mask.

Kushina immediately recognised them as the Anbus which were assigned to 'guard' her,

"You must not go outside the barrier Kushina Uzumaki"

They stopped her which further caused her hair to lift up, like tails while some stood up like the ears of a fox, no doubt the nine-tails is changing her body. She was about to lash out at them when she heard,

"Don't worry I'll be with her."

Anbus and Kushina turned their heads to the direction of the voice and Jiraiya stood there with his trademark smile, Near him stood Minato who was dragged away from his training. He didn't have any expression on his face, but Kushina could tell he was not happy.

"But Jiraiya-sa-" One of the Anbus spoke but was cut off by Jiraiya

"I'll talk to sensei and nothing's going to happen with me here."

The Anbus seemed reluctant but nodded at each other and [Body Flickered] away,

"Minato!"

As soon as they disappeared Kushina rushed at Minato and hugged him with all her might. Minato didn't say anything but hugged her back while thinking,

'Her chakra is unstable and is all over the place… maybe the side effect of being a jinchuriki'

"So how was your Mission?" Kushina asked while still not releasing him from the hug.

Minato sighed silently, feeling her guilt and sadness, and answered,

"It was the most boring mission I've ever had, The guy we were supposed to protect was a total asshole… But I've figured out many things"

"Umm"

The conversation got awkward and Jiraiya left them alone and walked off to a tree nearby and started reading a book with a perverted grin on his face.

"So will you release me?" Started the conversation wanting to break the ice even though he felt good when being hugged by her.

"No" Kushina replied ad continued to hug him without any further explanation,

'Even though I'm happy about that, why is she reluctant? Is she afraid'

"Why?" Minato didn't make any conclusions himself and decided to ask.

"To make sure that you won't disappear again"

Minato started feeling guilty after her reply, if he had known that this would happen he would have even broken his arms to not go on that mission,

"Do you know how scared I was during the sealing process? My whole body hurts and my chains hurt like hell when trying to seal the beast and it keeps on influencing me whenever I'm feeling any sort of negative emotion."

Minato didn't reply, he just hugged her tighter and let her talk. Kushina's eyes started getting teary and her hold on him got stronger,

"I *sniff* I was scared I would never meet you again!"

"It's fine, I'm here"

Minato rubbed her back while consoling her, she continued crying for a while and they both just stayed still for a while,

"So wanna hang out?"

"Don't you have any missions?"

"I don't"

"Our usual spot?"

"Yeah"

Both of them started walking towards their usual spot in the forest, the tree near the river facing the stone faces. They had their hands locked and smile on their face. Looking at that Jiraiya smiled and stood up while keeping the book inside his pouch.

"Sigh… It would be nice if there were no fights, right? Sensei"

Hiruzen came out of the bush behind the tree, he too was listening to the conversation,

"Yes"

"So… it started huh?"

"Yes… Kumo and Iwa have officially declared the second great shinobi war against us"

Jiraiya wasn't that shocked at the reveal, it was obvious to most of the high-leveled shinobi that the war was going to happen sooner or later.

"Amegakure is being attacked by Iwa and they want to form an alliance with us to repel Iwa off their borders"

"So what's the decision?"

"Danzo and the other elders don't want to form an alliance, Danzo said that it will result in other small ninja villages also forming an alliance with our enemies while the other retards are too prideful to form an alliance with them."

Hiruzen handed Jiraiya a mission scroll and said,

"I want you to gather information about the situation in Land Of Whirlpools, All our spies in there are either captured or dead, the spies in other villages didn't get any info about Uzumakis."

Jiraiya sighed and kept the scroll inside his pouch,

"We should make sure to stop using the tailed beast as much as possible in this war… I don't want to put her in danger, and We are not ready to lose a skilled Kunoichi like her and I at least want my student's love life to be successful."

"Don't worry that's why a Hokage is here… and Orochimaru has started training again if you don't want to fall back behind him like the usual, master that sage mode of yours sooner."

"What?! That bastard stopped his research and started training seriously? Did you check if he was really Orochimaru? Am I in a Genjutsu? Kai! Shit, it's real."

Jiraiya was shocked, After Orochimaru became a Jonin he didn't train seriously like he did in his younger days and started to focus on his research about many stuff he found interesting.

"Stop being dramatic and complete the mission within 2 months… and don't forget to inform Tsunade before you leave… last time I got punched because you forgot to tell her before you left."

Jiraiya's face was even shocked more than before,

'So that's why I got punched that day when I returned from that mission.'

"Did she really? Are my feelings finally recognized by her? You are not playing with me right?"

"Just go"

Jiraiya ran at the fastest he could that moment and the wide grin on his face showed all his teeth to the world.

[Minato's POV]

"It will help you in controlling your chakra more freely and keep the tailed beast more separated from your 'mind'"

I'm currently explaining how the seal can be upgraded and the benefits behind it to Kushina who is listening to this attentively, we are currently in her room after cleaning the mess I made in my room and eating Ichiraku ramen, I have to say that shop really sells the best ramen I've ever eaten.

"It'll be safe right? What if it escapes from the seal while you are modifying it?"

It seems like she's very worried about this, which is understandable as if the beast escaped now I will, without a doubt die, and even if I survive The village will be in shambles.

"Don't worry I'm not undoing the seal, I'm just modifying it"

"So, how will you do that?"

"It will take a lot of time to explain so do as I say, ok?"

"Ok" She nodded her head.

I saw that she was nervous and decided to mess with her a little, I placed both my hands on her shoulders and directly looked at her blue eyes, for a moment I lost concentration looking at her beautiful blue eyes but I steadied myself and told her in the most serious voice I could muster up,

"Don't move"

I saw her cheeks flush and her avoiding to look at me in the eye and kept on looking at random places while she stuttered,

"O-Ok"

"Don't look away from my eyes"

We both just looked at each other for a moment, lost in each other's eyes.

I discarded my plan to mess with her and told her to lie on the bed with her stomach facing the ceiling,

"Now lift your shirt up"

"What?"

"I have to see the seal and touch it to modify it."

"O-Ok, but only because it's y- no for modifying the seal."

Damn seeing her all shy makes her even more cute, She slowly lifted her t-shirt up for me to see the seal, I should also modify it to stay visible only when she wants to. I coated all the five fingers of my right hand with chakra and touched the [Tetragram Seal] and suddenly my whole consciousness was pulled somewhere. It was similar to when I used [Flying Raijin] but I could still feel my 'body' being elsewhere.

I looked around and spotted an orange fox the size of a small mountain, It was tied up in large silver chakra chains, the fox had nine large tails which means that it was the nine-tails.

So I'm inside Kushina's seal… how does this work? No, it's just my 'mind' or consciousness that is inside her, I can't feel anything but I can 'see' and 'hear'... now it's just more confusing. I have to find a way out of here.

The fox suddenly opened its red and menacing eyes and looked directly at me, It spoke with its fear-inducing and scary voice,

"WE FINALLY MEET… MINATO NAMIKAZE"

"You know me?"

"If I try I can see everything my jinchuriki sees"

'Another thing to change in the seal, but is the nine-tails really this affable? Mito-sensei said that it was always grumpy and arrogant.'

Instead of thinking about it I directly asked the nine-tails about it,

"You seem reasonable… So why is everyone scared that you will go on a rampage the moment you are unsealed?"

"It's because I was cursed… I think you don't have time to talk with me"

That is All I heard before I felt someone shake me and my 'mind' or consciousness returned to my body, my body felt like it was too overcharged. I felt something that was not chakra coat my body.

"Minato! Your nose is bleeding"

I heard Kushina say as I felt something warm in my upper lip, I quickly teleported to the Flying Raijin seal I placed in the forest,

'I can't think much… It feels like holding in the poop while exercising;

I unleashed all the energy that was in my body and used my prototype [100 million volt deadly supercharged scattering thunder] and I felt satisfied after draining all the excess energy and slowly passed out in the now black ground.
