Chapter 71

Nell was walking through Microsoft X's house towards his room to meet up with him like he said he would. Nell walked in front of Microsoft X's room and knocked on the door. Nell waited at Microsoft X's door for a response. For how big this mansion is Nell always knew where his boss was. He always stays in his room. Nell heard the doorknob move; the door began to open to show Microsoft X in the middle of building something.

"Hey Nell. Sorry I was busy building a new father board for myself", said Microsoft X smiling.

"Sorry for interrupting, I came here because you said you would like to see me", said Nell looking up at Microsoft X.

"No worry. I need your help with something before you go on your mission. Also, I have a present for you from someone", said Microsoft X letting Nell into his room.

Nell walked into Microsoft X's room to see all the bolts and tools all over the floor. Nell has never seen so much scrap in someone's room. "For how rich you are, you know you have a lot of other rooms in this place you can use for building things you like", said Nell looking around the room.

"Yeah… but I like to build in my bedroom. It's nice to build like I use to when I found Earth years ago. I love to do all this stuff by hand still", said Microsoft X putting down his screwdriver.

"Whatever you say boss. I was just trying to give you some advice", said Nell turning to look at Microsoft X.

"I don't need advice Nell", said Microsoft X walking up to Nell. "It's you that needs to keep learning from others", said Microsoft X plucking Nell's forehead. 

Nell annoyed put a hand on his forehead. "Do you have to do that", said Nell looking at Microsoft X.

"Of course, I do", said Microsoft X walking over to the other table in his room. "You're still just a kid, going around in this world to keep humanity safe. I must treat you like a kid to show you you're still growing. You're just an early teen Nell", said Microsoft X walking over to Nell with a paper in his hand.

Nell looked down at the paper Microsoft X was holding. "What's this", said Nell taking the paper out of Microsoft X's hand.

"Read it", said Microsoft X. Nell moved the paper up so he could read it.

Hello, Nell.

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I apologize for not being able to contact you sooner; it's simply been difficult to find the time. I've been thinking about you, and I genuinely miss you and Robert's smile.

I know we haven't seen each other in a while, but I wanted you to know that I still think about the missions and fun we've had together in the headquarters on a regular basis. I can't help but wonder how things might be different if you stayed, but I know Microsoft X requires your services.

I don't know what the future holds for us, but I do know that you can contact me for any form of assignment. If you ever feel lonely or unappreciated, please don't hesitate to contact me. You're just a youngster now, Nell, doing so much on your own. I'm sure Robert's death is still on your thoughts. Remember that. I'll be there for you at all times.

Nell moved the paper down from his face and looked at Microsoft X. 

"Well,", said Microsoft looking at Nell.

Nell walked up to Microsoft X and hugged him tight. Microsoft X began hugging Nell back as tight as possible to show him love. Microsoft X was rubbing Nell's head. Nell was just feeling a wave of emotions again. Grief, Sadness and most of all Survivors Guilt. Microsoft X was keeping Nell comfortable while his emotions started to become controllable again.

"Better now", asked Microsoft X holding Nell.

"Yes", said Nell letting go of Microsoft X.

"Great. Well, I have some good news", said Microsoft X walking towards his newly built planning table.

"What's that", said Nell wiping his tears.

Microsoft X clicked a button on the table to show a map of the world. Nell walked over towards the table to see the map up close. Microsoft X sat down and allowed Nell to look at everything he's been investigating. 

"What is all these dots on the map", asked Nell looking around at the digital map of the earth.

"I was finally able to extract the last energy from Jacob to try and trace what happened to my son in our world, and I believe these dots have evidence of a person going different areas that might have information on what happened when he once fought with the team before you", said Microsoft X sitting down looking at Nell.

"He fought beside master and the team you built to keep this world safe before us. The original MXW (Microsoft X Warriors)", said Nell looking at Microsoft X. 

"All these dots were old bases once constructed by me and Sony before we vacated them for safety reasons. Once we were seen as problems to many governments around the country, we evacuated many old bases. Especially after we lost many of our heroes during the 20th century wars during WW1, WW2, and the Cold War. Once we helped everyone around the world, but now we are just stuck in certain countries. We don't want a country to declare war on us", said Microsoft X looking at Nell.

"Then let me help. ill investigate these locations, I would only probably take me a year", said Nell looking at Microsoft X.

"It's to dangerous", said Microsoft X getting up from his seat and walking towards a computer.

But if we work together, we could find the individual who helped Jacob with his plan or maybe another accomplice possibly", said Nell grabbing Microsoft X's arm so he can stay and speak to him. 

"Not yet Nell, its still to dangerous just for you. I would need to send someone with you:, said Microsoft X turning to look at Nell.

"Then what, we wait and watch thugs, crooks, hackers, and gangs take what once was yours because of you not being trusted by many in government anymore. Well, that won't stop me. I'm your ally Microsoft, I joined to fight for you", said Nell trying to convince Microsoft X to let him do one of these assignments.

"Nell. These missions are for operatives who have been fighting with me since I recreated this establishment. There are still many ive worked with in the MXW that are still here", said Microsoft X.

"But there's only three of them left of the main team and four left that are secret operatives that even we don't know. Their use to be hundreds of us", said Nell looking at Microsoft X, but Nell could tell his boss was done with this conversation. "I'm sorry boss. I over spoke to you. I should never do that when missions are being planned", said Nell looking down with shame.

Microsoft X put his hand on Nell's head. Nell looked up at his leader. 

"Listen Nell, one day I will need you to help me with this, but first I need you to complete what Jayden gave you. Once you complete this mission, we can talk about it once you get back. The Gods and the Governments of these areas aren't friendly to an alien who once failed to protect the world", said Microsoft X looking at Nell.

"Don't worry boss, failure isn't bad. The world needs you just like I do", said Nell looking at Microsoft X with a serious face. "So, I'll leave and complete all the missions on this file now", said Nell nodding at Microsoft X.

"Good. I've been watching all these dots for years now. So don't worry, I'll never lose sight of these and when you come back, we can talk", said Microsoft X with a smile. 

"Hope you keep that promise", said Nell with a smile.

"I will and Goodluck", said Microsoft X with a smile also.

Nell walked towards the door and exited the room that Microsoft X was in. Microsoft X watched Nell leave.

"Be careful kiddo, you and Yoshi always want to fix things with those that have done us wrong in the past", said Microsoft X by himself.
