Chapter 54

Nichole grinned as she rushed over to Cyber Chameleon in the M.R.C. Prison common area.

"Good day, my little Chameleon. We're finally back together." Nichole replied as she hugged him with a smile.

"The goal had been for us to meet outside of prison." Chameleon reminded her of this.

"I know. However, situations change. And perhaps that is healthier for us." Nichole explained.

"What exactly do you mean?" Cyber Chameleon inquired.

"For starters, I no longer have to constantly breaking you out from the outside. Now that we're back together, we can use your unique mix of skills to walk straight out the front door. My plot to put a stop to Kid Owl's aspirations of saving anyone ends today." Nichole continued to tell Cyber Chameleon about her new intentions, and he grinned.

"Wait, what the heck is going on?" Kid Owl said as he landed in the facility's parking lot.

"Robert, may I enter?" said Kid Owl.

Kid Owl dashed into the building after noticing guards dead on the floor with blood streaks all throughout.

"I'm not sure how this happened. Kid Owl entered the elevator and descended into the headquarters when he spotted Robert was tied up in a chair with someone behind him. Kid Owl exited the elevator.

"Ocelot paid us a visit," Robert explained.

"Of all times for her to decide to show up, it's now," Kid Owl stated, staring at Robert, who was being held in the chair by Ocelot.

"Hi, Kid. "I'm guessing you weren't expecting this to happen," Ocelt remarked, advancing her metal claws towards Robert's throat.

"Leave him alone, Ocelot." "This has nothing to do with him," Kid Owl stated.

"This is entirely his fault." You didn't anticipate Jacob to notice you stealing gun data and planting a bug in his office to hear what he was up to. How did she know his second in command was just opting out? You are gathering information on the weapons and attempting to locate and stop Nichole. With the guards eavesdropping, having a conversation with Cyber Chameleon did not go unnoticed. You truly thought you were ahead of everything, but it wasn't you who came up with all the strategies to stop us. "It was him who gave you the technology you needed to find a way," Ocelot remarked, beaming at Kid Owl.

"Impossible. I kept everything a secret. "No one in my inner circle would have known how you figured any of this out," Kid Owl replied.

"With this," Ocelot remarked, pointing to the chip used to obtain data on the weapon's model.

"But," Kid Owl objected.

"Yes, when Caleb inserted the USB to gain access to the weapon, I implanted a virus in the prototype so I could always find my way to you." Everything you needed was right here. "Even a virus that allowed me to penetrate your systems and find this small refuge," Ocelot remarked, tossing the chip to the ground.

"All right, you got me. However, let him leave. He didn't do anything wrong. "Fight me," Kid Owl urged.

Ocelot laughed and lifted her bowl cup bangs away from Robert's neck, which was sweating and breathing furiously as he tried to keep quick as Ocelot instructed.

"Fine," Ocelot responded.

Kid Owl smirked, expecting Ocelot to release Robert so they could fight instead. Ocelot grinned.

"However, when I think about it, youngster. That's not how my job works," Ocelot remarked, raising her metal claws and placing them on Robert's neck.

"No halt!" exclaimed Kid Owl.

"Help me," Robert begged, his eyes welling up.

"All right, I'll quit. "When he's dead," Ocelot replied as she slashed his throat from his left and right Jugular veins with her claws.

"No," Kid Owl yelled, taking his dagger and hurling it towards Ocelot. Ocelot ducked, then flipped away. Kid Owl ran over to help his pal as he saw blood gushing from his neck.

Kid Owl pressed pressure on both sides of his neck, attempting to use any skill he could think of, but since Savo wasn't there to give him the rest of his Level abilities, all he could do was cry and hope for a miracle. Looking at his friend Nell, Robert began to speak, but all he could do was mutter words.

"Don't attempt to talk, I'll solve this," Kid Owl remarked, doing his utmost to save his companion.

Robert's eyesight began to blur as he gasped. Kid Owl tried to keep him awake, but all he could do was stand there and watch his friend die in front of him. Kid Owl's gray camo outfit was splattered with his friend's blood, but he didn't care. In this verse, all he needed was something to save Robert. He didn't want to be without him again. Not in another universe. Robert tried to grin as he saw Nell try to save him. All he could think of was how much pleasure he was having helping his best friend yet again. Kid Owl noted that Roberts' eyes had changed color to a light gray. His guy was dead in a matter of seconds. Kid Owl was clutching Robert close to him, and all he could do was wail and rock back and forth. Instead of continually working, they could have run away and started over. But what ifs are just that: what ifs, and all Kid Owl could do when he heard Ocelot's voice was feel powerless, then enraged.

"You couldn't have done anything, kid. "In the wild, once the jugular is split, everyone dies quickly," Ocelot remarked, licking the blood off her metal claws.

Kid Owl lowered Robert to the bloody floor and rose carefully.

"What is a child going to do to me?" I've been doing this for a long time, youngster. I'm in my late twenties, while you and Robert are still in your teens. Thirteen and fifteen. Microsoft X is once again using children to do his dirty business. "Just give up," Ocelot remarked, smirking.

Kid Owl turned and glared angrily at her.

"I hope you're ready," Kid Owl murmured as he took his martial arts stance, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"You idiot. "I'm going to murder you next," Ocelot said as she prepared to ponce her target.
