Chapter 26

Christian was getting ready for Helena's kiss by closing his eyes and pursing his lips in preparation for it.

She retreated a little bit. "Christian, what business do you have here? I thought your abilities only manifested themselves during full moons."

Christian slowly opened his eyes and flashed a grin in her direction. "That's quite fantastic, isn't it?" He cocked his head to the side and snapped his fingers while staring at Helena. "After months of reforming and fusing our souls together, Fenrir and I have been able to master our fusion to an even greater degree!"

Helena was no closer to comprehending the purpose of his presence. "When did you come here? Also, have you received the communication from Microsoft X stating that he has chosen Jayden to serve as our leader?

Christian trembled and covered his ears as the sound of police sirens roared in the area.

"Listen, I'm still a novice when it comes to playing the hero role, but I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to be here when the police show up all big and hairy like this. We have no choice but to return to the shadows. Helena gave chase after Christian after he attempted to flee from her.

She exclaimed while clutching his arm, "Wait!"

Christian turned around in his chair. "What on earth is going on, Helena."

"Our entire group will be getting together for a meeting very soon in preparation for when we merge into one party. Helena swiftly said that it was imperative for you to be present.

Christian responded to Helena, "Ok, I'll see you there, I promise," as she was letting go of him so he could leave. "I promise," he added.

"Do not anticipate that I will return to our typical way of life any longer. Were going to be heroes now! Despite his distress, he continued to jump awkwardly forward while bending his knees. "Damn, I forgot, we can't take off with the police on their way."

Helena chuckled to herself as she watched him leave. Then, as a fire truck drove by, it jogged her memory of the task that she ought to have been performing in the first place.

"Let me get home. Helena mentioned this as she hurried home and referred to Soul Sakura as being absent today.

When Helena finally arrived home, she threw her suitcase on the ground. Helena hurriedly removed several items of her clothing before entering her room and heading straight towards the bathroom. Helena removed her earrings before beginning to fill the tub with warm water and removing the remainder of her sweaty clothing. After finally removing what was left on her body, Helena grabbed her phone and saw that Jayden had called her a total of 12 times and sent a total of 20 messages, all of which awaited a response from her. In spite of the fact that Helena had already informed Jayden that her presence was required at M.R.C., the latter continued to send her a large number of messages.

As Helena scrolled through the texts, she questioned aloud, "What the heck is going on here?"

Jayden was concerned every time she didn't answer his phone or text, and he even sent Helena a message that said, "I can tell you are enjoying time with Jordan again." Helena saw this as she read each message, and she knew it was because Jayden was upset. You always seem to be so close to each other even when I'm not around.

Helena expressed her confusion by asking, "What the fuck is wrong with him?"

Helena was enjoying the warm bath that she had prepared for herself when she decided to give Jayden a call.

Putting her phone on speaker she heard Jayden pickup.

"Hello Jayd-"

"Where the fuck have you been, I've been calling you", shouted Jayden on the phone.

"I just got home, I was at the M.R.C. working to help Microsoft, and being told things about future missions and task", said Helena back to Jayden on the phone.

"Yeah… ok, I know you were hanging out with Isaac and Jordan again like always. Scotty and Shawn all near you. "I'm guessing you've been eyeing Caleb again.", said Jayden on the phone".

"Why the fuck are you doing this again Jayden! Can you not trust me to do anything without you", shouted Helena on the phone.

"No, I don't. You are weak Helena, the weakest on the team. The rest of us have reached Tier 3 (Level 100) in a year. You're the newest so I'm trying to protect my girl", said Jayden.

"No, you aren't", shouted Helena starting to cry but trying to hide it in her voice.

"Yes, the fuck I am", shouted Jayden.

Helena was crying just wanting to hang up the phone, but she knows if she does all he'll do is come to her home or get others not to talk to her again unless she apologizes.

"Stop acting as if you know everything Helena. You need my help ok, enough is enough. Get your shit together, I love you more than you love me. You need to put more effort in our relationship", said Jayden on the phone".

Helena, wiping her tears, was just looking at the phone.

"We'll talk tomorrow. I hope you answer me, Helena. Please don't make me beg", said Jayden.

"Ok", said Helena sniffling and feeling bad for not answering his calls.

"Good. See you tomorrow", said Jayden hanging up the phone.

Helena, looking at the phone, got up from the tub early and started to dry herself off. Helena put on her pajamas while tossing her phone on the bed. Helena laying down grabbed her phone charger and plugged her phone up. Helena just laid in the bed looking at the phone waiting for Jayden to call back, she didn't want to make him angry, so she won't sleep intel he calls her again.

"Now we just wait", said Helena to herself checking the time.

It was 11pm. She can last another 11 hours if she has too. She loves him as much as he loves her. She wants to prove that.
