You're Involved With Some Interesting Fae

Brennan couldn't let his resolve waver. He signed up for geology classes, started meeting with any unattached female wind and earth fairies he could find, and did his best to forget about how lonely and miserable he was without Talori. 

He was doing decently until he actually went to that tear exchange. He had a lot of things to report to Zale so he had to stay the whole weekend. 

Seeing her was incredibly painful knowing what he was about to do but he did his best to enjoy the moment as much as possible. He was glad that she seemed closer with her friends in the royal guard even though that hurt to see too. That meant she was doing well here.

Brennan hugged her goodbye at the end of that visit wondering how many more times he was going to be able to do this. Eventually the lack of contact from not being in Harmony's office to talk in the evenings unless it was urgent business would make her less friendly with him, wouldn't it?
