Prologue

Due to the technological revolution, things that were previously only seen in films began to become a reality here on Earth, not in some far-off future. This future Earth has technology that is several times more sophisticated. Previously only a pipe dream, robotics and artificial intelligence are now ingrained in daily life. Robotics and AI are now widely used in a variety of sectors, including healthcare.

But a number of difficulties that many individuals had to face arose along with these improvements. The unemployment rate rose sharply to historically high levels. AI and robotics have significantly altered society as well as people's daily lives. While some adjustments were favorable, some weren't. Physical objects like books and materials were reduced to mere showpieces.

Due to the quick development, something happened that would be remembered for years to come. Yes, it was the start of the most horrifying Cold War in history, which would later come to be known as the Cold War of Robotics. Each country sought to prove its superiority in these fields. This started a race that was harmful to both people and the environment. Innocent and defenceless people who were not involved in this power struggle had to bear the repercussions.

Then that tragedy struck, throwing the world into political upheaval and leaving an aftertaste that is still evident a decade later. A terrible conflict that still gives people nightmares was the beginning of it all. "Robot Calamity," also known as the Third World War It all started when one tiny nation attacked another tiny nation. At first, it was written off as a little skirmish and disregarded as unimportant. Who would have imagined, however, that this minor battle would result in millions of fatalities? Larger nations took advantage of the situation to help one side or the other in a proxy conflict until it turned into a full-fledged world war.

The use of robotics and AI significantly decreased following the Robot Calamity. People started to be wary and afraid after seeing the horrors these technology had unleashed. Habitable terrain was severely damaged by the radiation, rendering it unusable. As a result, many innocent creatures perished.

The pre-existing nations collapsed, and a supreme authority emerged. This government turned all of the inhabited territory into cities and gave them alphabetical names, referring to them as Alphabet Cities. This had little impact on the wealthy people, but it had a tremendous impact on the impoverished people, who didn't even have two square yards of land to cover their heads. S Cities, or slum cities, arose as a result. At one point, residents of slum areas were even forbidden from entering the Alphabet areas due to the severity of the discrimination. Furthermore, people who were avaricious and selfish were given control over these slum cities' administration.S City 1, S City 2, and so forth are examples of how the slum cities were separated by numbers.

Beyond all of these, however, was one shantytown that had the goddess of fate's favor. That city was S City 3, and Mark Maximilian served as its ruler. He was ambitious as well as caring. He worked hard, and S City advanced remarkably, surpassing the Alphabet Cities. The supreme government was aware that many people from other slum cities were moving to S City 3, but they were unable to stop it. Even today, some still call S City 3 Genesis City.

Current day

A young man named Alex came out of a convenience store with a melancholy look as the evening breeze rustled across the streets. Alex was an orphan who had found refuge in SCity 3 after escaping the oppression of SCity 1. His hopes of becoming a prosperous businessman were dashed by the harsh reality of his financial circumstances.

Alex ended up working at "Odd Jobs," a company founded by the Maximilian family's youngest son, with no money to his name. Workers were provided by this company on a contract basis, allowing them to temporarily work for a variety of other businesses and retail establishments before returning to the primary business. Alex had worked for this company for the last six years, and it also offered dorms for its employees.

Alex's final day at the frugal convenience store was today. He pulled out a book from his luggage and started reading it as he went. Unaware of his surroundings, he made his way to his dorm while observing the strangely small throng. He was too engrossed in his book to notice an approaching truck's horn as it blared. It was already too late when the sound got to his ears. Alex was struck by the truck, which sent him into the air before sending him crashing to the ground with his face covered in blood.

Alex's mind raced as he lay there, his consciousness diminishing. He grumbled, "Damn, that book was so captivating, I didn't even notice truck, which lunatic driver drove their truck on footpath. "If I could just get another shot, I would try to achieve all of what I desire.

" Oh, and these books I've gathered over the years… Even some of them I haven't read yet. I wish I could bring them along ". In anguish, Alex's thoughts dwelt elsewhere.

Alex's consciousness grew dimmer as the seconds passed. He slipped into the darkness unaware what was waiting for him on the other side as the world around him started to become fuzzy.
