Are you dating?

After lunch, Jinyi went home and found that today there's a guest waiting in her living room.

"Chuyang?" Jinyi happily walks over to him and gives him a welcome back hug.

Bai Chuyang is their oldest sister Xu Ruoxuan's childhood friend, and also her and Qianyu's older 'brother.'

"Jinyi, long time no see. You've grown a lot," he says with a smile. Bai Chuyang left the country for five years to finish his studies, and now he is back as a doctor working at the same hospital as Jinyi's mother.

Jinyi noticed that her sister Ruoxuan isn't back yet.

"Where's Ruoxuan?" Jinyi asks her mother.

"She and your father went to a meeting and won't be back till dinner time. Why don't you bring Chuyang around and at the same time bring Money for a walk." Money is their Golden Retriever dog and he's five this year.

Both Jinyi and Chuyang nod, and Jinyi puts a leash on Money.

"Money, let's go," Jinyi says as she opens the door.

They started walking around the neighborhood, "So, Chuyang, have you found a girlfriend yet?" The first thing Jinyi asks him and looks at him curiously.

Chuyang gives her a slightly uncomfortable face, "Jinyi stop fooling around. These five years I've been studying, how do I have the time to go on a date?"

Jinyi nods with a sneaky smile, "ahh, if that's the case, how about I introduce you to some of my girlfriends? Let me tell you--," before she can finish saying her sentence, Chuyang stops her.

"I don't think I'll be looking for a girlfriend anytime soon. I want to focus on my work first," stopping Jinyi from going any further.

"Alright. If that's what you want," she says.

"How about we talk about you instead," Chuyang turns the conversation to her.

Jinyi shifts her eyes away and on Money, "what is there to say about me?"

"Well, I heard a lot of things from auntie Xiuying. For example, she told me that you met your old deskmate from elementary school? His name was--Gu Yanqing? How is he? Is he tall and handsome like you want?" Chuyang gives her a 'you got it' eye signal.

"What do you mean 'want'? Plus, he always goes around with that cold straight face. Who would want him," she says.

"Oh really? Well, if that's the case, do you want me to introduce you to some guys? They're cute, handsome and tall. Fits all the criteria for you," he says.

Jinyi's eyes widened, "really? I wouldn't mind if you do," she says with a smile.

After walking about 30 minutes, they went back home and saw Jinyi's father in the living room.

"Hi dad, where's Ruoxuan?" Jinyi asks.

Chuyang greeted Xu Haoran and eyes roamed around the room but couldn't see Ruoxuan.

Just as Jinyi was about to go up to find Ruoxuan, she already started walking down the stairs.

"Sister, look who came," Jinyi says with excitement.

Ruoxuan already knew that Chuyang was coming today. They talked over the phone three days ago and Chuyang mentioned it.

"Hey Chuyang, welcome back," Ruoxuan said and went over to give him a hug.

Chuyang smiled and also hugged her. "Thank you."

"All right, it's almost time for dinner. Go wash your hands and tell Qianyu to come down," Li Xiuying told them.

The next two days, Jinyi gets ready to go to the swimming center. She notices Ruoxuan up already.

"Don't you have a day off today?" Jinyi asks her.

"I do. But Chuyang asked me to go out today to help him with some furniture picking for his apartment." Ruoxuan explains as she eats her breakfast.

Jinyi sees through his intention but from what she notices through her sister's eyes, Ruoxuan doesn't sense anything.

"Ok, have fun," Jinyi says while wearing her shoes.

Ruoxuan turned around from her seat and waves goodbye, "still going to the swimming center?"

"I had no choice," Jinyi said painfully and then said her goodbyes.

Ruoxuan meets Chuyang at the mall and this is the first time in forever since they last went out together after five years.

"So, where are we going first?" Ruoxuan asks him.

"Uhm, I want to check out the office desk," Chuyang responded back while looking at the list he made beforehand.

Ruoxuan nodded and they went to the fifth floor of the mall where there's a store that sells furniture.

As they walked around the store, Chuyang would steal a glance at her from time to time. Ruoxuan caught his gaze, "is there something on my face?" she asks.

Chuyang shakes his head. "So, how did that date went?" he asks her like he didn't care much.

"What date?" Ruoxuan asks him like she forgot which date he's talking about.

"The date you told me last month about how your friend's set you up on a blind date. You said the guy was pretty good. So… was there any progress?"

"Oh, it's still going. But I don't know about it anymore," Ruoxuan says and then she found a nice desk on the corner of the store.

"How about this desk?" she asks him while checking it out.

Chuyang smiles and nods.

"Why? You don't like him?" Chuyang continues asking.

"Like? I do sorta like him, but maybe not romantically."

After hearing Ruoxuan saying not romantically, Chuyang felt some type of relief.

"How about you? Have you been seeing anyone lately?" Ruoxuan asks with a tease. Chuyang slightly laughs and shakes his head. "You and Jinyi both ask the same thing. She even recommended introducing me to some of her friends."

"Why would you say no?" Ruoxuan messes with him. She then added, "You're 25. Not young anymore."

Chuyang sorta regretted bringing up this conversation, "how about we check the other desk over there."

At the swimming center,

After the previous lesson, Jinyi has to keep practicing her breathing. Yanqing still has to teach the kids so he asks his helper to watch over Jinyi.

Jinyi watches Yanqing as he teaches the kids how to do some kicking.

"Is he always this nice?" Jinyi asks the helper.

"Who? Yanqing?"

Jinyi nods.

"Of course, Yanqing is one of the most patient coaches here that I know. He takes his time to teach his students and barely gets angry or mad at them."

Yanqing, who was teaching the kids, noticed Jinyi looking at him. He then gives her an eye signal to continue practicing.

Jinyi shivers a little and goes back to her training.
