Return to the Academy
The rest of the way, nothing eventful occurred. The ship sailed straight without delay, and by the time the clock struck midnight, the ship had already reached the territorial waters of humans.
Including the time to dock, everyone managed to get down from the ship at around 1 a.m. Despite that, the entire port was bursting with life, with lights flashing from all sides and retrieval personnel coming aboard immediately.
They were the ones tasked with moving heavily damaged Doppels back to their hangars. Specifically, Quinlan's Doppel, which got melted away.
Yinuo actually wanted to drive it back to the College herself, but Melody stopped her. "Let them do their jobs. If they don't have to retrieve any items or Doppels, then their wages get a lot lower."
As such, to not let the poor workers lose out on their bonus, Yinuo decided to ride with Melody's Sylveria back to the College instead.
