The Chairman sighed as he sat back down on his chair, turning to Melody with a wry smile.
"Although I would love to do that, we don't have solid evidence," he explained.
"No evidence?" Melody frowned hard. "Didn't we catch the drones outside the dome? Just inspecting its system would be more than enough incriminating evidence!"
"There's none..."
The chairman shook his head, his eyes showing a hint of worry and pity.
"None? Dad, what do you mean?"
"I mean it as is. The drones' memory was wiped clean so we could get nothing from it." He sighed as he passed a small tablet to Melody. "Even the parts used to create the drone were all things available for the public. Whoever made those really went extra on keeping their anonymity."
