Six

I've been trying for an hour to lift this katana, but I can't get it to move even a few inches. I decide to sit down and think. How something so thin can be so heavy. If Rose was here I'm sure she could have helped me.

"Is it difficult ? " said Louise while coming near me. Of course it is.

" Yes, I don't see how I'm supposed to lift it, it's much too heavy"

"I'd advise you to build up some muscle so that you can ask your grandmother"

After she told me that I went to see the grandma. But she is sleeping so I decide to wake her up by pushing her off the couch.

"Ouch." she said before getting up she looks angry.

" What are you doing passing me around like that. I'm your elder you have to respect me "

"Yes, yes, I wanted to ask you if you had any alterations" I won't appologize to you, your too mean with me .

" You could still apologize for pushing me" She said pointing me with her finger .

" No, just answer my question." I said more seriousely.

"You're really rude. And no I don't have alter but I have something better than this"

What can be better than alter to get more musclar. A magic circle appears and disappears and suddenly I feel myself falling on the floor. This grandma is taking her revenge for I have done.

"What have you done, I can't stand up anymore." I almost shout, I can't move , I don't like that feeling right now.

" With my magic I have made all the objects here heavier and also your clothes"

The grandma laugh at me and start to walk out of the living room. I needed her because I couldn't stand up.

" Please don't go." I said to her but it was too late, she had already left. Well I have to try to get up and then we'll see about the rest later.

I try to get up and then after 30 minutes of suffering I finally manage to stand correctly. And then comes the time when I have to manage to move ,I take 10 minutes to move from the sofa where I was to the door.

" Good luck to you Ava" Say Louise laughing

That's when I realise that no one is going to help me. I spend the rest of the day trying not to fall over and then it's time to make dinner. Grandma is just here to make fun of me because I'm the one who is going to cook.

I walk with some difficulty into the kitchen , take a knife with one hand and it is really heavy. I better be careful. Because the way this knife is heavy I might cut my hand on purpose.

" Let me take care of the meal for tonight, don't worry" Say Louise

For the first time she is going to do somthing great for me. I get out of the kitchen and I let Louise make the food. After an hour the meal is finally ready , Louise tells us to come and eat.

We sit down and we look at the dish that Louise has made for us and well ,it's a soup that is green , I don't see anything else but green and there are little bubbles in the soup and I think I saw green smoke in the shape of a skull getting out of the soup.

" Well, I'll give you the honor of tasting this dish," said grandma .

" No Grandma, honor to the oldest" I don't want to die young.

" No, you taste first and I didn't make what we're going to eat any heavier so please eat" This grandma is kinda funny.

" Go and eat what I've prepared" Say Louise

"I'll go first then" I say.

I take a spoonful of Louise's soup and put the spoon in my mouth instantly I turn green

"So is it good Ava ?" asked Louise.

I don't want to disappoint her plus she cut herself to make this meal, it's not like me to do that but she looked to have work a lot on it.

"Uh yes it's great. Grandma why don't you eat ?"

Grand ma face is the best , when she taste the soup she turn green and then she just continue eating. I just give her mine before leaving to go outside. I leave the house and decide to go deeper into the forest

I think I saw some berries around here that I really need to eat. My tummy starts rumbling but I keep looking and after a while I find some berries and eat them. I heared a noise in a bush.

Is there a wild animal here? Maybe it is and it's making weird noise, a normal human couldn't do that. I decide to go to that bush and then burst in laugh when I see that it's grandma.

" What are you doing, Grandma? You weren't supposed to eat the food Louise made." When she heard my voice she jumped up.

" And I could ask you the same question" She respond

" Let's just say it's our secret, so I don't want to die right after I eat my meal."

Me and grandma go back into the house. then I went to the room to sleep in and see that Louise is already asleep ,she's sleeping peacefully.

I change my clothes which is complicated as my clothes are really heavy then I decide to go to sleep and the blanket is also heavy to lift. Grandma is too mean . I can't take it anymore. It's tiring.

During the next 6 days I managed to improve my walking without any difficulty ,at the beginning it was hard to cook. But now I'm used to it and we don't have to put up with Louise's dishes or go looking for berries in the middle of the night.

I'm mentoring every day I'm doing push-ups with several objects on me and I feel a bit stronger than before but still, I don't know if I'm going to manage to lift the katana. Tomorrow it's going to be the last day.

The next morning

I wake up and take a shower , brush my teeth then I go outside to see the katana and it's still there and so is grandma.

" Today is the end of the one week I gave you to carry that katana, so good luck to you."

"I didn't ask you but what if I don't make it?"

" I don't know yet but I will probably give you as food to the guardian "

What she respond is even worst than I have thougt . I take a deep breath and walk towards the katana , then I point my hand towards the katana and then I lift it. This time I succeed

"You saw this grandmother, I did it"

I jump for joy still holding the katana in my hands. I knew that I would succed, but without her help I would not have succeeded.

" Now I'm going to learn how to use the katana"

" Of course you are and for that it's going to be complicated."

" And what will that be?" I hope it's not going to be to difficult.

" I want you to train with the guardian of the mountain" I think that if I do that I'm going to die.

" What! me training with the guardian but it's dangerous" She does really don't like me.

"Don't worry and I also have another condition,you won't be allowed in the house until you train with the guardian"

" You can't do that grandma,where I'm going to sleep? " I have tears in my eyes when I said that.

" You will sleep in the forest and you will not be provided with any food, you will have to manage on your own and here are some of your clothes"

She gives me my backpack and then she leaves with Louise in the house. Well I don't really need to go into the house and then it might not be hard to train with the guardian. I look at what's in my bag and there's only clothes and nothing else

I went into the forest and started to look for the guardian but he is almost nowhere to be found. After a few hours of searching my stomach starts to rumble then I start to look for food and I end up finding a bush with strawberries .

I eat the strawberries then I see a baby deer it looks like he is injured I think I have to help this deer. I approach the deer and he is frightened by my presence.

" Don't worry I don't want to hurt you I just want to help you"

I give the deer some of the strawberries I picked earlier and he eats them and is not scared anymore. Well I guess now you'll be my companion until I find the guardian. I take one of my clothes and tear it up and use it as a bandage for the deer's wound

It's going to be dark soon. I think for today I should stop but I have to look for something to eat. I get up and the deer follows me ,I even feel like he wants to take me somewhere so I follow him and we end up next to a river. Oh, I'm going to catch fish.

I hold the deer in my arms and then take some pieces of wood to make a fishing rod and I fish. I manage to catch 4 fish and then, I collect some wood and I decide to make a fire to cook the fish and when they are cooked I give two to the deer and he eats them.

Well for the moment I haven't found the guardian yet but it doesn't matter, at least I found that deer and it's because of him that I found this river.

I pet the deer and then decide to sleep near the fire so I don't catch cold and the deer also sleeps next to me
