First day

"Huff...Huff..."

ChangXi panted, swiped off her forehead sliding sweats, and said, "I completed. What's time now?"

Mr. Zang checked his wristwatch. "9:30 AM!" he said. She sped up towards the school building at full throttle. It was time for classroom teachers to give their entries for their first class.

She skidded her feet right closer to the door, whiffing incessantly and keeping her adorable gloat at Krish, who put his notebook on the table, turning to face the students. He said,

"Hi-"

"May I come in, sir?" ChangXi interrupted, snatching his attention.

He gestured with his hand instead, twirled, and turned his face to focus on the students. She came in with a shrug and grinned before taking a turn to head to the right side wall column. She sat right next to the window seat and Fanqia, which was placed in front of the last bench where that boy, who had a crush on her, was.

"Hi, guys. I'm Krish. I'm your classroom teacher, science teacher, and physical teacher. Let me hear your side!" he said. He browsed his eyes from left to right, trailing off his words, "Where to start...?"

"From the right side!" ChangXi raised her hands, beaming delightfully.

"Okay, let's start from the left side!" He looked at the female students, who were sitting at the first table near the door.

ChangXi's shoulder slacked quickly; she twisted her lips and narrowed his glare at him, smiling for everyone.

As everyone introduced themselves, the unknown guy was staring at Krish while ChangXi wholly divulged Krish's adorable smile.

"I'm Li Gi," the girl in the centre seat of the classroom, introduced herself and sat after offering a bow. Next, Fanqia stood up and introduced herself with a warm smile.

Now it was time for ChangXi, who was beating her feet on the floor excitedly and delightfully waiting for her turn to introduce herself by repeating inside her thought, 'It's my turn'

Fanqia sat back, and ChangXi stood up at lightning speed. "I'm-"

"Next one!" He called out the next students behind her, which again caused ChangXi to divulge in despondency.

The male student who has a crush on ChangXi expressed high dudgeon while saying, "I'm Lin Gengxin, Gengxin for short!"

"Nice name!" Krish complimented him. Immediately, ChangXi sounded, "Mine also sounds the same, ChangXi. Do you like it?" She broadly smiled ashamedly while mentioning 'ChangXi'.

"No!" he dodged her smile before it pounced on him because her broad smile was cute as hell; anyone would fall for it. "Next one!" he said, and she balled air inside her mouth.

He was the boy who advised Geng Xin that he should've proposed to her earlier. "I'm Lin Ruilin. We are twins." He wrapped GengXi's neck and hugged it playfully, which gained only annoyance in return.

"Ahh... Twins? But... Your face does not look alike," Krish subtly narrowed at both of their varying looks. GengXi shone with handsomeness, while Ruilin was dull compared to him.

"Ahh," Ruilin sheepishly smiled and said, "He takes over my beautiful mother, unlike me, who takes over my unpretty dad."

"Ahh... You are still handsome; keep it up!" Krish winked at him.

"Really?" Asked Ruiling. He couldn't believe his words because it was the first time he had heard someone say he was handsome.

"Don't be excited; he is just saying this to comfort you. Handsome, my foot!" Fanqia imitated him, gave a disgusted glance from top to bottom, and killed his confidence in the blink of an eye.

"Ha Ha Ha..." Everyone laughed at him.

With a downcast look on his face, he sat back.

"Don't listen to her; she is spoiling your confidence. Be yourself!" Krish tried to comfort him again with warm words. But nothing worked; he remained downhearted.

Krish sighed, feeling sorry for Ruilin. He then called out the next student. "Next one!"

After knowing everyone's name, he dragged out a pack of papers from his notebook. "Okay, I will give you some papers. Do write or draw whatever you like. Not food items! It was like... A. Hmmm. Draw what your dream is and what you want to be in the future," he said, beginning to give papers in person.

ChangXi, who adored him all the while now, pulled out a pencil that looked smaller than everyone else had and avidly waited for his hand to offer paper.

Fanqia glimpsed at her tiny pencil, which would last for one week only. "What did you do with this? Why has it become smaller? It's been only two weeks since I brought it to you." She said it and got it from her hand.

ChangXi folded her lips inwardly and lowered her eyes in guilt.

Fanqia was the one who always helped ChanXi financially. But in secret! If her mother knows about this, she will drift Fanqia away from ChanhXi and even change the academy to break their friendship.

"Did you keep drawing again and again? Then what about the study? Are you studying at home or not?" Fanqia frowned at her.

Krish laid down the blank paper next to her hand, which was holding a small pencil. He then moved to Suilin's seat and offered a paper separately for them.

Noticing he was handing the paper in person to everyone except her, ChangXi raised her hand and reported, "I haven't received the paper yet, sir!"

Krish went back to his seat, like he didn't hear her.

"Here is yours!" Fanqia slid a piece of paper to her tableside and stretched a new pencil.

"Did he ignore me?" ChanXi asked herself, sending a confounded look at the paper until her eye caught sight of another paper resting on Fanqia's table. Her pouted lips expanded in a gratifying smile quickly, and she got a hold of a pencil and paper.

She held her new pencil and started by striking a line on the paper while Krish monitored every other student except ChangXi.

Meanwhile...

After seeing everyone focusing on their paper, Krish carried his glance to ChangXi's seat. She was working on her paper intensively, and for each strike that her hand drew on the paper, an adorable smile kept peeking out from her lips. It was like she was overjoyed to do that and uniquely admired her work.

In a few seconds, as soon as he noticed ChangXi was about to look at him, his pupils stumbled for a second, browsing and blinking often without knowing where to shift their gaze. In a threaded second of her eyes going to meet him, he caught sight of Li Gi working on her table. Holding his breath, he fixed his gaze on Li Gi.

ChangXi gave him a glance with an enchanting smile and turned her attention back to her paper. He appeared to be monitoring students normally. But only he knew how crazily his heart drummed inside.

"Wbhoo..." he let out a long-held breath, tapping his left chest to calm down his thudding heartbeat.
