Sophia was so wrapped up in the events of the previous night that she hadn't even thought about her sister. She felt immediate guilt.
"What will happen to Liz? You guys won't kill her, will you?" She shuddered as she recalled how some of the wolves in her pack had been punished. Her father didn't believe in mercy and had beheaded several of them. What Liz did was wrong, but she didn't deserve to die.
"Kill her? No, we don't go around murdering other wolves unless they threaten our lives," Matthew shook his head.
"That's not true, considering what Ronan did to my pack members," she pointed out.
"I'm sorry, alright!" Ronan roared, startling both of them.
"Wha…what?" Sophia asked, unable to believe he was apologizing. She thought he had just been saying it the other night without meaning it.
"I'm sorry for killing your pack members and splitting up your family. I admit I was wrong for doing that," Ronan groaned.
