Nicki almost fell off the chair. It would be a lie to say that she was not scared. Her face became pale in an instant.
When she finally came to her senses, Hunter was already standing a couple inches away from her.
"Don't come over!" she yelled instinctively. She was so scared that she couldn't control her tears at all. She even forgot the words that she had prepared to say to him.
She bit her lip, grab the railing with both hands, and jump onto the high wall on the balcony.
She didn't have time to stabilize her body. She pressed her fingers tightly into the crack in the wall. Although it was painful like she was being pricked by lots of needles, she endured it and didn't say a word.
Hunter was completely flustered. He staggered towards her.
Tears streamed down Nicki's face as she shouted, "Stop!"
Hunter only paused for a moment, but his feet reflexively continued.
