"It's not like that!" Rory shook her head violently.

"Mrs. Lane, I don't want you to mention my dad." Rory's face was livid.
Mrs. Lane didn't stop talking because of her disgust. Instead, she smiled even more brightly.
"Rory, I know that you experience a lot already considering your age. I mentioned your father because I want you to remember his kindness. Don't always ignore your father for the sake of a man.
