[JIHOON]
"So, special treatment, huh? What else do you want, a fucking crown on your stupid head? Or wait, an answer to all your questions?" Rania mocked Jihoon. She knew it would have no effect on him, especially now that there were other people around them.
Jihoon valued his ego and right now, nothing Rania said would make him yield to her. She was hoping to get him angry because then she would have to fight him, and then she would have an excuse to disappear.
There was a lot going on in her head and it was safe to say, she was no longer being rational. She wanted all this to be over and done with so she could go back to Dalrae.
Fuck, Rania was frustrated.
"Maybe if you didn't kill the love of my life, you'd be getting the special treatment too—" Jihoon said but he was cut short by someone who had walked into the large circle they had formed. The guy looked like he had spent all his life working out or even preparing for this day.
He was huge, compared to Raia who was just a tiny girl to him. He looked like he would squash Kim Rania with his fingers and that shut Jihoon up. He wondered what had gotten into Rania for her to agree to whatever this was.
Jihoon knew well that Rania could fight her way through the rogues, because she was a powerful werewolf alpha. With Jihoon by her side, they would manage to kill all the rogues, but as Jihoon had noticed Rania didn't want to spill innocent blood.
Well, this guy was not innocent, because if he raised a finger on Rania, she would fight back, right?
She had to.
"I want to try first!" The man said and Rania just stood there, watching the man like he had gone bonkers.
Was he daring Kim Rania of incayon?
Damn, he must have not heard what Rania did to people in the fighting rings, otherwise, he wouldn't have been here.
But then again, she smiled at his bravery, though she could tell that whatever he was coming in here to do, wasn't because he was strong, but because he thought his huge ass was new intimidation for the young alpha.
What he didn't realize was that this girl had even dared the werewolf king, the one man that all the werewolves feared, and yet here she was, alive.
Rania was a weapon that could be properly utilized, and right now, as he watched the man smile at her, Rania swore to Dalrae that she wouldn't kill him. She would let him go back to his family, because maybe he was the only person who their kids relied on.
She wasn't going to deprive innocent children of a future with their father, unless the feral walked in with an extra object, in which case, Rania wasn't going to let him go free. She would ruin him.
"Oh Great! Another person with a head the size of my balls," Rania said, provoking the guy and he instantly swung at her, perfectly hitting the mark.
It was so sudden and not sudden but for some reason, Kim Rania acted like she hadn't expected that, when in reality, she had seen the swing coming for her from miles away. It was predictable of people like the guy she was about to start fighting.
There were times that Rania was addicted to pain and this was probably one of those times The only thing she could hope for, was for her not to kill him..
"First of all, ouch," Rania said as she held onto her jaw.
She was thankful she was a trained alpha female because otherwise, she would be long dead. The punch the guy had landed on her had been massive because for a good minute, Kim Rania saw the stars.
She wasn't sure this was the kind of night she wished for, especially on a hot sunny afternoon, but hey, she knew she wouldn't be able to choose shit anyway.
"Secondly, did no one ever teach you not to swing at a girl's face?" Rania asked as she punched the lower left side of the guy, making the man scream out in agony. As much as she wanted this to be a fair fight, she hated it when someone swung at her face, and yet she had let him do that.
Rania could have blocked, but instead, she let him, almost like she wanted to feel the pain. Maybe this time, her tear glands would do their work.
However, as usual, Rania didn't see her tears when she opened her eyes. Not even the watery feeling that came with feeling dizzy and shit.
The audience around them was enjoying the fight, considering their man was winning. Rania didn't have to look at Jihoon to know that the guy was conflicted and worried, but she couldn't lean into Jihoon's care. That wasn't her place to be.
Just because she had killed Yanna didn't mean that it was her turn to stay beside Jihoon, besides, she would probably kill him in the first hour.
The audience was already addicted to this, because they were shouting at the guy to not let a girl put him down. What they seemed to forget is that this girl was the Incayon alpha, Kim Rania, and that in a world dominated by men, she didn't become the leader by getting favors.
"Oh come now, don't tell me that one hit to your kidney and you're wincing. I thought you were strong!" Rania said and her opponent looked at her, the rage in his eyes worrying even Jihoon. The man looked like he was going to send Rania back to the goddess.
The woman in question on the other hand just stood there, laughing like a maniac like she didn't have a splitting headache and wasn't feeling dizzy.
The black eye she had earned was not going to be a pretty one, but it was a good thing they were werewolves, and ferals or not, they would eventually heal.
Rania felt like shit, but she had started this, besides, even she was curious to know what it was that could make her cry.
"Aaahhh," Rania's opponent growled before running towards her. He looked ready to squash her, however, she was Rania, and she ran towards him too, making the audience quieten down for a microsecond or so.
Everyone watched as the tiny alpha landed a knee punch on her opponent's face.
It was then that they fully understood that she was crazy, like empty in the head kind of crazy, because who the fuck even did that?
Damn, Rania.
"That's payback for ruining my beautiful face—" Rania said but before she could finish her snarky sentence, the guy rushed and held her by both arms before swinging her in circles and dropping her towards the nearest stone.
That was a dangerous move and once again, Jihoon instinctively stood up from his seat. He hadn't realized it yet, but when he did, he was quick to defend himself.
"—What? I don't want to complete the mission alone. The werewolf king may think I betrayed my promise to him," Jihoon shrugged as he sat back down, the worry on his face disappearing.
He looked like a disappointed brother but that was of no use, because he and Rania would never be siblings.
Never.
She cared, even when she shouldn't have. And that was what made her unique, but did it?
