"I don't know if I'm talented, but I've got enough heart for the life that I chose, here is what I've been working on," I told her with a smile as I pulled out my new iPhone 8 directly playing a media file I had saved.

Before she could ask what I was doing a soft piano melody rang out from my phone capturing everyone's attention. Ella hasn't heard this son either with Zoe being the only person to hear it when we made it. They both had a confused look in their eyes but that soon changed when my voice rang out in the tenth second.

"Yeah, I know

You be posted up from Sunday to Saturday night

Started hanging with the members then you blew a few pipes

And you gone do the dash if you see them blue lights

A lot of people dying and it's a chance that you might

You got God on your side but it's hard to do right

Don't pay them haters no mind, you can be what you like

Tryna leave this in the past grinding for a new life"

Hearing the chorus for the first time they both had shocked expressions on their faces. This was a completely different flow from my first song but it was by far atrctive to listento to. It easily captured you attention and somehow has a slight hypnotic effect that makes you want to sing along.

"Hard headed I grew up resilient

It wasn't no heroes, so we look up to the villains

For generations, bitch, my side of town been drillin'

We been at war ever since them red buildings

It's hard to make peace once blood get to spillin', ayy

Lil Wooski get to shootin' like he filming

Yeah, my friends died too, I know that feeling

I'm popping ecstasy to help me with the healing

Leah and lil baby my younger siblings

I really love them, so I treat em' like my children

Laylani told me stack them bands to the ceiling

I switch my swag up, can't you tell the difference?

I'm finna feed the whole gang with these millions

I'm finna buy my whole hood with these millions

Girl, if I give you my time, that's a prilvage

But I can only give my heart to the realest"

Upon hearing the first verse I could instantly tell that the two of them were hooked. The raw emotion from my feelings of the past managed to shine through my phone speakers. I'm not sure why but I could see faint purple particles terminating from the phone as my voice was projected through the room.

Rex won't talk about what these strange particles are but as far as I can tell it conveys my emotions to the listeners of my song. This results in me being able to connect with them far more easily if they can genuinely relate to my lyrics. Although I doubt that the two of them here could relate to the lyrics the bitter emotion of loss conveyed throughout the song resonated with them watering their eyes.

"You made that song?" Chloe asked me after a moment of silence to which I simply nodded. She managed to keep her watery eyes in check, unlike Ella whose tears streamed down her cheeks.

I know the reason for her tears but I'm not ready to face her reaction to my actions just in case she is mad. The line where the original rapper Polo G from Rex's World mentions his siblings is something I wanted to change. However, upon reflection, I decided to keep it, especially after getting closer to Ella over the past week.

I now genuinely see her as a mother figure that I can rely on especially since she has never judged me or let me down. She knows exactly where I came from and the crimes I have committed. We had this conversation early on so she would know what she was getting into if she wanted to be in my life. Yet she still decided to take me in and treat me as her own giving me a chance at having a family.

Although I could have gotten rich with the help of Rex and the music we made together. I realised that it would've been a destructive road for me to go one by myself. The more I study Rappers from similar backgrounds as myself the more I see their past catching up to them. Once in the Game, there is never a way out you only become strong enough to be untouchable.

"Is that my Leah," I heard her whisper from beside me forcing me to face her looking into her watery blue eyes. Again I nodded but this time I was not as confident as before.

Yes, the Leah she is referring to is her daughter who would have been my little sister. "Leah and lil baby my younger siblings

I really love them, so I treat em' like my children" This bar is my way of telling her my acceptance of us becoming a family. Leah is quite literally her late daughter and lil baby is what we called Bianca back then.

This line means a lot to me and from the looks of it does to her as well. If I'm being honest I can't wait to see the little girl's expression when she hears the song for the first time. Hopefully, it will bring a smile to her face since I'm pretty sure fighting her cancer must be mentally taxing for her.

"T'thank you," She whispered lighter as she directly pulled me into a side hug wrapping her arms around me. Not knowing what to do with her sudden action and having my arms restricted I just waited patiently.

"Ahem should we get back to business," Chloe said after a while of just waiting for Ella to release her hold over me. Her words did the trick as she jumped up with a flushed face allowing me to breathe normally again. Her reaction seemed to amuse her aunt who chuckled lightly after witnessing it.

"how many songs have you created? and Ella tells me you use another person, what's the deal with that?" She asked me not bothering with my foster mother who was trying her best to regain her composure. She tried her best to appear composed if not for her puffy eyes.

"I have created a total of five songs, First Day Out which is the reason we are here, Finer Things which you have just heard, Pop Out, I'm Upset, and finally Die Young," I told her with a confidant smile genuinely confidant in the potential of these four songs. Not just because they are good but simply because of the momentum built by the First day out.

"Seeing how you can consistently deliver on the music end I am happy to sign you on, this is my offer," She told me with a smile as replaced the contract she had given to Ella before with a new one. Although surprised at her actions I let Ella read through it first since she is my lawyer and all.

The contract is pretty simple Chloe will represent me as my agent managing my public image. From interview appearances to brand deals with companies and negotiating features for people I want to get on my songs. She would basically be the point person for me to talk with businesses helping me build on my career.

For her services, she would get an 8% commission on my earnings from shows she books for me. From my business Ventures, she will receive a 5% commission, this includes sponsorship deals, modelling gigs and acting gigs if any come up. The contract length is four years with the last year of the contract serving as a renegotiation period.

After reading through the contract and making sure that everything is in line with what I want I signed on the dotted line. "Let's have a fruitful partnership," She stated with a smile as we both stood up and shook hands to seal the deal.
