"What's good Tommy," Rakim said to a curly-headed white boy a couple inches taller than him. Dabbing him up with a quick handshake the two of them exchanged pleasantries with each other.

The blond guy stands at a height of 6'5 sporting a stoky build giving him an imposing stature. The two of them quickly took seats at the nearest KFC booth placing their order. From the outside looking the two of them looked like long-lost friends reuniting with each other. However, in actuality, there was a sense of awkwardness as the two of them haven met with each other for a while.

"How you just get released and instantly go viral bro?" The taller of the two stated with a light smile breaching the tension that lingerd. Rakim smiled upon hearing his words looking to be genuinely proud of his recent fame.

They didn't have to wait long for their food to arrive as Jason got his bucket and Rakim got a wrap. Not wasting time the both of them dug into their food as they talked. Tommy seemed to be a little on edge though as he would check his six every now and then. Rakim seemed to have picked up on his friend's weird behaviour but had no plan of asking about it just yet.

"Honestly didn't expect it bro," Rakim responded with a smile as he proceeded to tell him how he didn't expect it either. Although he had now recorded a total of four songs with the help of Zoe and Rex what is happening with "First Day Out" is a little surreal for him.

In the week that the song had been released for it had completely blown up on all socials. Anyone who has any interest in Rrap seems to have heard of the song as it swept like an avalanche through the industry. It's not famous to the point where everyone knows about but it has spread resonating with street dudes.

The main reason for its speed has little to do with the Leon's Gorilla crew but more to do with word of mouth pushing it. With it gaining traction on socials YouTubers who do reactions hopped on the bandwagon. CJ's Stream had been edited into a complete video which blew up even further as the majority of his 1.5 million subscribers watched it.

The First Day Out Music Video is currently sitting at around 800 thousand views and is still climbing. Rakim himself hadn't been expecting this as his phone had been buzzing with notifications nonstop. It got bad to the point where he had to get a new phone as his beat-up iPhone 4 just couldn't handle the energy drain.

The two of them proceeded to converse about random things trying to get reacquainted with each other. "I've been meaning to ask what's up with the hammers putting 50K on your head?" Jason suddenly asked as he dug into his food picking up a drumstick. His actions made it seem like he wasn't just talking about someone trying to kill his friend in front of him.

"They did what?" Rakim asked with surprise written all over his face not expecting what his friend had just told him. He seemingly didn't seem to know that there people out there looking to kill him for just 50k. Although that is a lot of money but upon further though its a little insulting to price his life with just that much.

"Yeah Babyface Jay hit me up asking for your addy, he seems eager to get rid of you," Tommy said in a more serious tone as he put down his food leaning forward to make eye contact with Rakim. Tension once again returned as they held eye contact trying to read each other's thoughts.

They hadn't seen each other for a year and had even lost touch with each other. Originally they were as thick as theaves brought together by a twist of fate when Tommy tried to run Rakim's pockets. In those days he would have gotten him jumped for that sort of disrespect but running from cops brought them together.

Tommy being one of the few white boys in their hood didn't fit in often getting into trouble. Having to stand his ground everywhere in order not to be bullied earned him Rakim's respect. However the only reason they became close is when Rakim found out why he tried to rob him in the first place.

Turns out that T's (Tommy) mother is a Balandor-level crack fend willing to do anything for her next high. His dad was stuck in jail doing a bid for armed robbery of a bank, Raktering, and drug possession with intent to distribute. While that wrap sheet is a resume on its own if you're trying to get hired for lick it did little to support his children.

This led T straight into the life, doing the only thing he knew how which was to hustle. From rigging dice games to home burglaries my guy did it all for every bit of cash he could gain. Some might say it runs in his blood since his dad was also a wise guy, but T was different he got into the life to take care of his family. At age 9 he was paying the rent, paying utilities and financing his little sister's chemo treatment.

Although Rakim didn't appreciate getting robbed he sympathised with the guy and they broke bread. From that day Tommy joined his crew of friends giving him a little protection. He would still get into fights with other people on the block but those were the guys who also had conflicts with Rakim. Just because you're from the same block and even the same gang doesn't me that you're all family.

"So you gon cash in on it?" I asked him with a serious expression sitting up from my relaxed posture and staring deeper into his eyes. They held eye contact for a couple of seconds before Tommy smiled brightly in amusement.

"Naw Bianca would never let me hear the end of it," He stated with a laugh reminding me of his sister. Although she is younger than him she is literally the only person who can tell him off without any repercussions. This guy in front of me is a hot head no matter how calm he looks on the surface.

"Haha I don't doubt that, How is she anyway last I heard she's on her way to beat her cancer," I responded remembering just how sick the redhead used to be when I first met her. Like Alex, she had a sense of innocence about her seemingly finding the good in everything.

"If I didn't remember her birth I would think that you were her big brother and not me," He complained with an exasperated expression instantly going back to eat his chicken. He seemed to be trying to eat away his feelings as he angrily bit into the drumstick.

Although he grumbled I could tell that he is genuinely happy at the fact his sister was getting better. He proceeded to tell me how life in Seattle was for the both of them. Last year his sister got a grant from this guy who was running for mayor and was trying to get some brownie points. This allowed the two siblings to move to Seattle to a better hospital for Bianca's treatment.

It was sad to see them leave especially with how close we had gotten over the years. However, it was what Bianca needed so Alex and I just gave them some emergency cash. It wasn't a lot no more than 70K just enough for them to get by if shit hit the fan. Turns out it did come in handy as the guy who gave them the grant worth a quarter Mill and a promise to finance their treatment didn't follow through.

They got the initial check which held them through for the most part but after the politician lost he didn't bother with them. The initial funds they had quickly ran out as Bianca's medical fees only continued to rise. The biggest criminals are those in the medical industry, those campfire horror stories about going bankrupt the moment you catch a cold is true.

"How are you doing for cash for her treatments?" I asked after remembering the rummers of Tommy getting back into the life in order to earn cash. Knowing him he would virtually do anything for his kid sister luckily he never had to kill anyone.

"What so now that you are Mr Suspersta you wanna give me handouts?"
