chapter: 07

The man who spoke to her was a tall , average looking man but his eyes were sharp. He had a commading aura around him. Luo mei from his aura alone could guess that this man hold some power in this place.

The man who talked was also silently observing her. The girl looks skinny and seems to be only 14. Allover she is ordinary and pretty girl and he couldnt understand that why commander decided to left her here with them. But when he noticed the unique blue pair of eyes that didnt stop staring at him even if he is observing her, he was a bit astonished. Normally timid girls didnt like men staring. Even a strong girl cant withstand the aura. And now here is a very ordinary girl with no cultivation who didnt backed away and even observed him openly.

The man then opened his mouth as he said" you can call me brother heng."

Luo mei nodded.She never talks warmly or coldly to anyone.

A young man of 19 years then came forward as he sneered" little girl do you really think that you can keep with our training! Simply your wish."

Luo mei didnt take his words to her heart as she spoke" I also dont wish to keep up but i have to."

The young man angrily hummphed" We will see that."

Brother heng then led her to a secluded area as he said" mei mei even though you are a girl but here are no facilities. You have to sleep in open, have food with everyone the same and do training together.Only privacy you can get is when you bath, freshen up or change clothes. Rest you have to do it with everyone. Here people are not bad. Eventhough we all are men but we have no such desires. So you must not be uncomfortable and solely devote yourself to training."

Luo mei knew that this man is telling all these things so that she can feel comfortable. But he simply didnt knew that our mei mei actually never had any friends who were girls. Her every friend were boys and even she lived with six, sharing an apartment. She has long lost the embarrased and uncomfortable feeling. But knowing the man's kind intetions she smiled as she replied" Brother heng i will not be uncomfortable."

Heng nodded as he spoke further" Mei mei as your cultivation is going to start from scratch you have to work more harder. You have to do both cultivation and physical training daily. I wont speak further how you cultivate. Because for each indivudual the method of doing cultivation is different."

Luo mei raised her brows as she asked" Different?"

Heng answered her sincerally" You dont know it now but truth to be said: The techniques to cultivate and hence gathering spiritual energy is long lost. What techniques we use are from the scratches left behind by ansectors. Previously thousand of years ago, the method to cultivate was uniform but the methods were forgotten and records were destroyed. So now we all can do cultivate but the correct method depends on the person itself."

Luo mei had a sudden enlightment. She thought' Great! The methods are lost!! Damm great!! Now can she even cultivate when she even dont what does it means!'

Brother heng as if read her thoughts replied" See you dont need to be worried like this. Our commander has personally passed certain books that describes the cultivation techniques and problems arisen when used by great cultivators. Our commander is really great to get such a copy and even providing us generouslly."

Luo mei who heard him couldnt help but roll her eyes. She should have read a lot of cultivation novel in her previous life. Atleast she will have ideas. Unfortunately she read only 2 or 3 novels thus doesnt have enough ideal knowlwdge. She sighed as she saw brother heng carefully giving her a dozen of books to her. He was acting as if its precious to him like a million dollar lottery.

Brother heng then spoke " Keep them like treasures mei mei. The physical training schedule will be given in evening."

After which he left to train. Luo mei dazelly looked at the books as she sighed" Lets look at these baby treasures."

She read the books until evening.Whomever passed by her and saw her studying delligently couldnt help but praise a bit in their heart. Luo mei who was praised meanwhile was cursing inwardly. She had only one word in her mind 'Utter trash books'. The books had vague meaning. They simply are error and trial book with not reaching the sucessfull result rather a bit satisfying result.

She had read only 5 books out of dozen but she could only understand a common thing. That was the concept of spiritual energy. Cultivation means accumulating spiritual energy. The spiritual energy is a kind of energy found in environment. Thats the only usefull line in the whole 5 books. There was one more usefull thing. The book says that the cultivation is divided to different relam or stages. The begining is the foundation then comes the qi realm and then etc etc. The rest things were trial and error methods. In some books it is written that spiritual energy is absorbed by skin and some says it is absorbed by pores. Some even says that spiritual energy is attracted by something inside living beings and can enter if the person willed. But how much can enter depends on person's capability to attract. All these nonsense were making her head dizzy. she understood now what brother heng's words meant' You can cultivate by yourself only!'

As the evening arrived she got the schedules for tommorow's training. After hearing the schedules she wanted to ask herself' Why didnt she thought of running away from her new home! Now she is stuck!!!'

Luo mei had no appetite as she was busy sorting out the rest 7 books. She pulled a nightover to finally grasp a bit of understanding. She yawned lazilly. Its been years since she pulled nightover studying. But the taste of understanding something useful among the piles of trash is clearly a great feeling. She even felt that she had become a great genius. Luo mei happily went out for her first day of training. Soon her happiness turned into extreme sorrow.

In the training place, men were neatly lined in rows as brother heng along with the sneering young man stood infront. Luo mei was given the first place in the row so that people can watch her and correct her. Her first training was to do the morning martial arts practise. Anyway she learnt it in her last life. She wasnt exceptionally good as she learnt it for a few days but it was enough to keep up with others.

From time to time brother heng will correct her position. But the hatefull youth will only rub salt on wounds. She glared at the youth in anger. She wanted to punch him.But she swallowed her anger as the youth seemed powerfull. She did vigorous training for 3 hours straight. She could continue for 3 hours straight was simply alone due to her will power. There was a 30 minute rest. Luo mei simply fell on the same place she was standing.

She cried internally as she felt intense pain. After 30 minutes the next set started. The next set continues of technique to balance a body. They were made to stand on poles with two buckets of water in each hand. They have to stand only on one leg as they balance themselves. For luo mei the difficulty rate of this task was extremely high and probability to successfully do this was close to zero.

Fortunatelly brother heng said that she could stand on both legs but only for a week. After which she has to stand on one leg. But simply achieving a big advantage wasnt enough for her to successfully complete the task. She has to stand with others for an hour. But after 30 min she fell. So she was given punishment to stand like this in her break too.

After this hellish balancing concept the next classes was for sword training. She was given a sword that could be call heavy and was told to practise some movements. She did it for 2 hours straight and her arms felt sore.

She doesnt have energy to do anyfurther but if she didnt then she will be punished. Her sorrow reached her heart. She almost cried but swalloed her sobs as she doesnt want others to know. The last thing today was hand to hand combact ability. She thought atleast she can vent her anger here but she was bullied until her bones felt as if they are shattered.

Hence luo mei's first training ended with a sorrowfull heart. She was sqatting in corner drawing circles as she cursed the old man.After training people went to continue their cultivation.

Luo also found a secluded corner to try her theories about cultivation.
