Karen's pov:

"Madam Karen there's an emergency, the master has sent for you, and he was running in with a girl in his arms, she's been kept in room 7" Lucy said while trying to catch her breath.

"Oh goodness", I said before leaving my room in a hurry.

I walked into the room and saw an unconscious girl on the bed.

"Karen take care of her for me, please, she looks badly hurt, I've cast healing energy on her so she'll heal faster but make sure she doesn't stress, feed her, bath her, make her happy", master said while staring at her worriedly.

"Yes master, I'll do as you have said but where did you find her? She doesn't look good at all", I gazed at her innocent looking face with a crinkled forehead as if she's having a night mare. What have they done to this poor girl.

"Remember I went to see a rival in Oregon? When I got there, I finished him off but couldn't help but noticed the door left a bit open and she was just hanging there while his men were hitting her, it made me so angry, so I took out their hearts and fed it to the wolves there before bringing her here", his hard gaze fell on her pale face with clenched fists.

"Master you're so kind hearted, although you may seem tough but you're really kind", I rubbed his dark beautiful hair and he smiled to him self before taking my hands off.

I took care of this tall man standing before me when he was just a little boy that's why he entrusts what he likes in my hands.

"Karen do as I say", he commanded and walked out of the room and shut the door behind him.

I sat by this little girl's side and watched her chest heave a deep sigh, she felt safe obviously.

" Karen it's been a day, has she woken up yet", master seemed to be getting impatient.

"No master but I'm sure she'll wake up soon please do not worry, I'll keep taking care of her, she'll wake up soon", i assured him.

He rubbed his chin and nodded slowly.

A slight smile appeared on his lips as he stared at the book in front of him, he was obviously not reading the book, I know him well. He was thinking about something.

"If I may ask, what brings a smile to my master's lips this fine evening? Have you finally gotten a reasonable woman", I asked in excitement.

His mother has been tormenting him about getting a wife or at least someone to court.

"Get yourself a woman or else I'll do it for you", she always said, That witch.

" Karen isn't she pretty? She looks so innocent but is obviously in so much pain, I can see it, she's scared", his smile faded slowly as he sat on his chair.

"Yes master, she's beautiful", I agreed to what he said not because he is the master but because I have seen the beauty in and out.

"Check on her and make sure she's comfortable", he says and uses his hand to guide me towards the direction of his door.

"I need some time alone", he said and spun his chair around before using his telekinesis to grab another book.

"I love this book", he chuckled to him self.

"I'll keep you updated master", I walked out and closed the door gently behind me. Master hates loud noises. He gets angry if someone makes unnecessary noise.

"My name is Lydia", the girl mumbled in her sleep. Lydia? I see, she must be having a dream.

I used a wet handkerchief to wipe her face once again, she needs to take a bath, her body seems to have healed very nicely but she still needs some extra care.

I sat beside her bed and held her hand gently while staring at her pretty pale face, she reminds me of my daughter. So beautiful and innocent. Tears started to well up in my eyes and finally trickled down my cheeks.

I noticed her eyelashes batting and trembling slightly and I was sure she had regained consciousness.

Her eyes opened almost immediately like she was in shock, I wouldn't blame her, she seemed pretty beaten. Cruel people.

She's awake", I couldn't help but sob at the site.

"Oh my goodness, gorgeous girl, what have they done to you, you look pale, hungry and sick",i stroked her hair and cleaned her forehead once again with a wet napkin. She seemed to be scanning the room. She's surely confused and wants to know where she is.

"But where's Calenfield", she said with a whimper, she seemed to be in so much pain.

My eyes widened when I heard that monster's name.

"Calenfield? That evil monster? He was the one who did all this to you? I heard he has killed a lot of innocent people, most of them have their eyes plucked and hearts stabbed, some even get thrown into the bushes for the hungry wolves, Oh thank goodness the master saved you", I adjusted the blanket on her body and ran out of the room.

I went to the master's room to inform him and he smiled once again. His smile looked very bright this time.

"I'm here with food child, please eat up beautiful princess, I may not be your mother but I'll care for you for as long as you're here as ordered by the master"

" The master, who's this master you speak of ma'am?" She seemed really determined to know who the master was but I just couldn't say anything because only the master had the right to talk about him self to her. He didn't order me to do so.

" You'll see for yourself child, please just eat up so the master doesn't get angry with me. And please do not address me as ma'am, my name is Karen, only the queen shall be addressed as ma'am and she's on a trip for now" i held her cheeks and stared at her bruised lips.

" Thank you Karen" she smiled slightly.

"When you're done eating, I'll give you a very good and warm bath with roses to heal your wounds in no time my dear"

She nodded slightly with a faint smile.

Soon after she was done eating, i guided her to the bathroom, I took her clothes off carefully and helped her into the tub filled me rose petals, she looked really comfortable. I scrubbed my hair gently and she whined in pain.

I apologized and took a look at the back of her head to see how bad the injury was.

I scrubbed her body gently, adding more body wash when it was needed.

She suddenly burst into tears which startled me.

" Oh no child, are you in pain, what's wrong? Did I hurt you? I'm sorry, please don't make me cry too", i started sobbing too as i was scared i had done something terribly wrong.

" No Karen, my mum died some days ago and I just miss her, I wish I could see her again. Actually I was hoping Calenfield would just kill me so I could see her" I continued washing her body lightly.

" Ohhh my beautiful girl, please don't say that, I'm sure she's relieved seeing you're safe now, I could stand in as your mother for you, where's your father". Her expression hardened and her eyes went dark.

" Please let's not talk about him, he's a hopeless drunk who owed a lot to Calenfield and he sold me to him, not only that, he raped me a night before selling me", she said in tears.

I knelt in front of her and held her  cheeks with tears welled up in my eyes before pulling her in for a short hug. She let out a deep sigh which sounded like one she had been holding in.

" You're safe now love", I pulled away from the hug and rinsed her body with more rose water.

While dressing her up, I couldn't help but notice how mature and beautiful her body was, she was short and looked immature but she was endowed.

I gave her a massage and applied a lot of rose oil on her wounds so they don't leave scars.

" Sleep tight princess", I said and adjusted the blanket on her chest before blowing out some candles and leaving the room.

" Master", I bowed when I found him in front of the door, the door was still slightly opened so he could see her pitiful face. She has already drifted of to sleep.

" How is she now", he gave me a poisonous glare. What was that for? Is he upset?

" Ma ma master, she's healing nicely", I stuttered because his glare refused to change, it was like he was staring into my soul. His aura was also strong.

He walked into the room, he never makes a sound, he's like black mamba going for his prey. He stared down at her and stroked her hair lightly.

" Thank you master", she mumbled in her sleep and his glare turned soft, he couldn't help but smile which warmed my heart.

This girl, she is changing the master, master is a hard person and gives everyone a tough time but when it came to her, he was soft.

He walked out and shut the door behind him.

" My study", he commanded as he walked quickly, I tried to keep up to his pace.

" What has she told you about her family", he sat on his chair and spun it around.

" Well her mum passed a few days ago and her father raped her and sold her to Calenfield"

His expression went hard and sour again which gave me goose bumps.

" Her father raped her", he said slowly through his teeth and hissed.

" Yes master"

" Dead meat", he said and laughed like a psychopath.

" Treat her like she never had parents, be her mother", he commanded and jumped down his room window.

" He'll never change", I looked down the window and watched him walk majestically through his garden. His chamber was very big and comfortable. " Some day Lydia will have her own room here" I giggled to my self and walked out of the master's room.

" He's obviously going to kill her father", I ran outside to his garden to check if he was still there.

" Master please do not hurt him, just leave him, she may still love him", i pleaded with him but he gave me a psychotic laugh and when he turned back, his eyes had turned red, his claws had come out and his canines had elongated. He was ready to feast on that man.

" Karen why? You know I'm hungry, I'm thirsty for the blood of the wicked", he groaned in anger and rolled his head to the back staring at the sky. It was a full moon, that's why he was that hungry.

" Here, bite my hand, I'll use rose oil to heal it and the scar will go before tomorrow morning", I couldn't bear seeing him in so much pain. So I stretched out my arms before him.

"No Karen, you always let me do that when I was younger but I won't do it anymore, I'm going out, I just remembered I have another rival in Zatinad village", he gave me a creepy smile with his elongated canines before drifting into the darkness.

I dressed Lydia in the master's late sister's dress to introduce her to everyone today, we do not know how long she will stay so it's only wise we introduced her.

After introducing her, she looked a bit sad, she complained about the maids not getting close to her but I explained that she may get infected with something we NEVADASIANS are immune to.

"Mother I'm so grateful to the master for saving me but why can't I see him?" Lydia said to me with crossed arms which I found really cute.

I laughed  at the sight of her  stance and she blushed.

"You'll see him dear, he's a busy man, he's always busy with the affairs of the land and many others. He's the master of many other lands which he bought to save them from the hardships they were going through"

I smiled while adjusting her bun. If only she knew what the master does and how hungry he gets.

We strolled down to her room while discussing after the introductions.

We stopped in front of her room door when she held my hands.

"What will I be doing in this big mansion, just sitting down? Master saved me, I can't just sit here, I can cook, clean, make the bed, after all I have no where to go, no way I'm going back to my father, I don't mind if I'm not paid or anything. Let me just have a place to stay. Yes I know I'm staying here but I don't know for how long I'll keep being treated like a doll. Can I just work?" I reasoned a bit of sense in all she had said but still I have to do all that the master has ordered.

"I honestly do not know dear, we should wait for the master's orders, he's not home now but once he's home he will give his orders", I stared at her face which was still a bit pale but looked better than yesterday.

"Let's go inside, I'll get your lun..." My speech was interrupted by suzan. I noticed how Lydia scanned suzan like she was observing her. I must say, she is really observant

"Madam Karen, the master is back and has demanded your presence", she bowed slightly before leaving.

"I'll be back Lydia, wait in your room for me", I also bowed before leaving her behind, she has to be treated like royalty. In our eyes she's a guest.

I walked into the master's room and he was pacing back and forth.

" How was your meal master", he turned to look at me with a grin.

" It was good"

" You sent for me master", i bowed.

" How's she? She looks better today, and that dress fits her skin", he smiled delusionally.

" Master please do not forget she's only 16", I chucked while staring at his face which looked a bit red.

He obviously liked this girl.

He walked into his study and signalled me to follow him.

" Karen I know", he sat on his chair and spun it around. That's one habit he won't get rid of.

" Sit" he commanded.

" Thank you master", I took a seat right opposite of him.

" So what else has she told you about herself", he opened the book in front of him and scanned through it.

" Nothing master, nothing at all, but she has a request", i fumbled with my words for a moment right there.

"Hmmm, a request? Go on", he ordered and rubbed his chin.

" She wants to work for you, she is really grateful, she has no where to go and doesn't want to go back home, so she wants to work"

His gaze hardened and he seemed to be biting the insides of his cheeks.

" I refuse", he clenched his fists. What's going on with him?

" Master, please, atleast we could make her feel comfortable that way", I pleaded.

" Hmmm, Karen make her my personal maid then and make sure you keep making her comfortable", he released his fists and smiled slightly.

"Master your room is really big, she may pass out from cleaning just the study" I chuckled while speaking imagining her short self stretching to Clean the top shelves.

"She wants to work right? Well I wont let her work any where apart from my chambers, so make her my personal maid, she must be dressed much nicer than the other maids, i she must smell great all the time", his canines grew longer and his eyes redened as he smiled

" I want to see those golden eyes in my chambers all the time", he grinned devilishly, after all he's the son of a demon.

Immediately I started feeling scared for Lydia as I watched his canines grow smaller while he smiled.

"O-Ok master, I'll do as you have said", I stuttered and bowed slightly before leaving his room.

You're back", she smiled. If only she knew what she was getting into.

"Yes Lydia" I felt sad for her.

" I discussed with the master about your situation and your request, he gave it a long thought and finally agreed to it. Although he still wants me to take care of you but you can work for him and get paid", I showed her the maid wear i picked out for her.

" You'll be his personal maid, you'll clean his room, serve his meals, and do everything related to him, he's a busy man, so you will have to work with schedules", I stroked her soft hair.

I'm very sure she thinks her job wouldn't be hard.

" Okay mother, I can do that, thank you so much", she hugged me.

I took her along with me to the kitchen to serve our meal and back in the room, I explained what she had to do to please him and how to clean his room. Up until now, any maid cleaned his room but not upto his taste. So I made sure to explain how he liked it.

" You'll start working tomorrow", I coupled the plates.

"But mother is everything okay with you? You seem worried" I noticed I was sweating profusely and just giggled my way out of the room not to seem suspicious.

" I'm fine Lydia, I'll be back later to get you cleaned up", i shut the door behind me.

I gave her another rosey bath later that evening. Her wounds seemed to have healed perfectly and she wasn't complaining of any pains. Which means she can work. I smiled to my self when I remember the spark in master's eyes whenever he mentioned her name.

He obviously likes her.
