When Rick and Kate arrived at the loft they locked all the doors and the windows just to be sure. Kate immidiately pushed Rick into the bedroom so he could lay down and rest. She herself went to the kitchen to make some food. She did it simple and only made sandwiches. She made two for her and two for her fiancé. She poured two glasses of wine and put it on a tray and walked into the bedroom.

"Great, I'm hungry!" Rick exclaimed when he saw the food.

Kate smiled and sat down on the bed beside Rick. Rick sat up and they started eating.

"You know, I'm never going to take you anywhere before I know it's safe again" Rick said serious.

"Stop blaming yourself, it wasn't your fault" Kate said and kissed his cheek.

"I love you" Rick said and smiled at her.

She smiled back.

"I love you too".

When they had eaten up Rick raised his glass with wine.

"To us surviving another hard situation" he said and she smiled while shaking her head.

"And to always be at each other's sides" she said and they sipped their drinks.

Rick took her glass and put the glasses away along with the tray. Kate looked at him and she could swear her heart started flying. He placed his hand on her cheek and leaned in to kiss her. The kiss was sweet and the static shot through their bodies. Kate put her arms around his neck and she felt his hands travel around her body. She let her fingers run through his hair and she lifted one of her legs to move herself so she was straddling him. His hands were suddenly under her shirt and they broke the kiss to give him the chance to pull it over her head. Once the shirt was off their lips found each other and she started to unbotton his shirt to get rid of that too. Their movements became one. Like they would become on paper.
