They enjoyed the barbecue at the Korean restaurant until they did not realize how long they have been there.
"Hmmmm... I love this kimchi!" Velina exclaimed as she stuffed some kimchi and roast beef into the lettuce.
"Yes, so do I! The owner of this restaurant is from Jeju Island, the taste of the kimchi is different from the one in Seoul!" Mickey explained.
"Oh, really? I just found out by know that there are many kinds of kimchi," Daniel replied.
He was not the typical person who enjoyed the food.
For him, he could eat almost anything. He just did not like to spend his precious time to think about what to eat. It was a burden for him.
It was the same with the clothes he would wear daily. He tended to wear dark colors because he simply did not like to spend time to mix and match clothes in the morning before he went to work.
"Yep! Maybe we have 200 kinds of kimchi in Korea. But the most popular ones, there are 10 types. There are Baechu Kimchi, Baechu Geotjeori, Bossam Kimchi, Baek Kimchi, Dongchimi, Chonggak Kimchi, Kkagdugi, Oisobagi…. "
While Mickey elaborately explained the various types of kimchi with great enthusiasm, Daniel and Velina continued to enjoy their roast meat.
"Hey... hey hey! Keep some for me!" Mickey glared at the both of them.
He used the chopsticks in his hand to hit Daniel's chopsticks as he was about to take a piece of roast meat for Velina.
Again.
It turned out that the two of them did not listen to his explanation at all! They were even enjoying their meal to their heart content! In reality, Mickey was not the kind of person who could eat and chat at the same time. He had to stop eating for a moment so he could explain about kimchi to his two friends.
Velina smiled at their behavior. She felt like she was babysitting two small children.
She then took a piece of raw meat and put it on the grill, then added a piece of kimchi on top. Just seconds later, she put the roast beef and kimchi on Mickey's plate.
"Stop that, there is still a lot of meat, no need to fight over it."
Velina could not help but laugh as she watched Daniel scowl at her.
"Here, there's no need to be jealous like that." She then put another piece of roast beef on Daniel's plate, still tried to hold back her laughter.
A wide smile finally formed on his face.
Daniel was delighted to see a piece of roasted meat made by Velina for him. He stared at the roast with affection, as if it was the love of his life.
They had been in the VIP room for hours, their stomachs were all bloated. However, Mickey kept pouring soju[1] into their respective glasses.
"Ouch! The Makgeolli[2] you ordered is not finished yet, why are you adding soju now! It's still noon you know!" Velina grumbled while stroking her stomach.
Daniel nodded, he seemed to agree with Velina's opinion. His face turned red. Her cheeks looked like red tomatoes. He looked so cute when he drunk even though he only drank two glasses of soju.
"Nana, I love you!" Daniel made a heart shape with his hands while he glanced flirtatiously at Velina.
Daniel's behavior, when he was drunk, was super funny, he acted like a child, with a tone of a spoiled brat.
His behavior when he was half-conscious like this, was completely different from his usual cool and cold attitude. Anyone would never have thought that the big boss could act cute like this.
"Nado[3]!" Velina made a love sign with her two hands on her head.
She then looked at Mickey, "Saranghaeyo, oppa[4]!" She laughed at him.
Realized that his head was getting heavier and heavier, Daniel then dialed one of the fast numbers on his cellphone. Not long after, two of his bodyguards entered the room.
"My head hurts. Bring me something to make it better it!" Daniel pointed at his head and sulked like a child.
The two bodyguards looked at each other, they tried to hide the smiles that had almost come off.
They then lowered their heads respectfully and immediately got some hangover medicine for the big boss.
Velina grumbled at Daniel, "You just like to trouble people! Huh!" She then pressed a button on the table, and a waiter immediately entered the room.
"Please bring us hangover soups, OK! Thank you!" Velina waved one of her hand at the waiter while the other hand supported her chin on the table.
Her vision was only 5 watts left.
In reality, that girl was not that drunk. It was just that, in the last few days, her works had been piled up and made her super tired, made her stressed out, and could not get a good rest.
She then was triggered by these alcoholic drinks that made all of her muscles felt relaxed. Plus, she was with her friends, so she felt that she could let her guard down a little. Even though she knew, she also had shadow guards who always followed her around.
"You guys are just as troublesome! You amateurs!" Mickey laughed as he continued to sip his soju.
Before long, the waiter returned with what Velina's had ordered. He brought three bowls of porridge to ease their hangover.
Moments later, one of Daniel's bodyguards returned with three hangovers energy drink.
Velina checked at the time.
It was 11 pm already. Apparently, they also spent a long time at the restaurant.
"Alright. Let's call it a night! " Velina clasped her hands together.
Daniel and Mickey frowned. They were seriously like two small children who were playing together and then being told to go to sleep by their parents.
Velina laughed, "Come on, let's meet again next time!" Velina tried to make a compromise with them.
"Promise me?" Daniel pursed his lips, one hand rested his chin on the table and the other was thrust toward Velina, all of his fingers tucked in, leaving only his pinky finger.
He asked the girl to make a 'Pinkie Promise' with him.
