Chapter 4: Aftereffects Of A Thousand Year Slumber

it has now been 1000 years and what I saw when I first opened my eyes was completely different than before the place I assumed to be my private quarters was completely different

and much more modern than when I last saw it with most of the room being decorated in black and no one but myself seemed to be within View but that's when I heard a large commotion outside my room's door when it was suddenly opened by two white topaz's followed by black Pearl and a few Amethyst following behind her

Pearl "my Diamond I welcome you from your 1000-year slumber would you allow me to inform you of what has been transpiring in this period of your absence?"

said black Pearl in her usual monotone voice while both the topazes and amethyst behind her were fangirling about meeting me for the first time as I'm pretty sure that out of all the gems only a small number of about in the 200s to 300s have seen my face although all of gemkind have probably already heard of me

Black "yes Pearl I would love to see how white ruled while I was away"

and after an hour-long session of discussion, I was informed of all the major and minor changes on homeworld with a few summaries every now and again

Black "well it seems she's been doing ok so far I'm proud of her you know maybe I should gift her something what do you think Pearl"

Pearl "well my Diamond I believe that you are indeed correct as lady white has made developed lots in this small period and so far we are already on the level of a small interstellar empire known by most of the other major and minor races of the universe"

Black "you know Pearl I appreciate your loyalty and dedication so far so I reward you with a break for the rest of the day go have fun and there's no point trying to convince me that's a bad idea Because I've already decided on it"

Pearl "y-yes my Diamond"

Pearl stated in her still monotone voice but in the beginning, there I thought for a second that I heard a little bit of hesitance in her voice

Black "now Pearl have a good break as for you lot you topaz stay here and continue your duties as for you Amethysts I want you to tell me your current duty at this moment"

???"y-yes black Diamond, I am the leading Amethyst of this squad we were ordered by white diamond to join a fleet to conquer a new planet but before that, we had to escort black Pearl here since no gem can come here without being watched by multiple others"

Black "oh I see we'll you lot are coming with me forget about your mission I'll talk with white about it later so don't worry you won't be shattered all you have to do is show me around the current homeworld and then you're free to go"

Leading Amethyst "I-it I-is an honor to serve you lady black Diamond even if we were to get shattered we have dreamed of serving under you ever since we burst from our holes"

Black "oh is that so? then once you are done showing me around I'll personally have my Pearl transfer you to work under me"

leading Amethyst "thank you lady black it truly is an honor to be in your presence"

And after that for the rest of the day, they showed me every nook and cranny of the current homeworld even restricted areas as they were personally escorting me they could pass without a problem but if any gem did have a problem with that I would just either shatter them or put them into gem solitary for a couple hundred to a thousand something years. eh, why am I thinking like this? why does shattering someone sound like such a trivial matter? this gem body sure is doing numbers on my mental health
