Chapter 24 Lay down with her (Rewrited)

Azula was currently tossing and turning on the bed. 

She was sweating profusely. It was a terrible nightmare.

"Mom, don't leave me."

Azula called out for her mother. 

She dreamt of the time when her mother left her. 

Her words hurt her as a child who was wrongly raised by her cruel father.

She thought that her mother loved her but when she heard her words she thought that she loved her brother more than her.

Azula wanted to defeat Zuko to show her mother that choosing Zuko was the wrong choice.

She opened her eyes suddenly and sat up on the bed, her face extremely pale. 

She looked left and right, and when she saw no one, she let out a sigh of relief.

Showing weakness was wrong in Azula's opinion.

"It seems like you have the worst nightmare ever."

Azula was shocked to hear someone's voice in her bedroom.

She looked towards the source of the voice and saw that it was Arthur, the personal bodyguard she had just recruited into her group.

"Who told you to come into my room without permission?"

Azula was very angry. She got out of bed and scolded him.

"I am your personal bodyguard. Your friend asked me to protect you as it is my duty. I have done nothing wrong."

Arthur answered reasonably. He was her personal bodyguard. He was required to look after and protect her.

Azula gritted her teeth.

She knew the reason he gave was reasonable and she couldn't blame him for this.

"What did you hear?"

But she wanted to know if he heard anything from her while she was having a nightmare. She was sure that she would say something.

And if he said there was nothing, she would punish him for lying. She couldn't wait to punish him.

But he spoke the truth without distorting it. She had never met anyone like him.

"I heard you calling for your mother. Is there anything you want to share with me?"

Azula didn't share anything with him except for the fireball in his face, which Arthur deflected as if it were just a little trick.

Azula, who saw that, let out a huge sigh. It was hard to accept, but he was stronger than her.

Just a little bit! 

Since he was stronger than her, she thought it wouldn't be difficult to tell him a little bit of her story.

"Listen carefully and don't tell anyone, not even my friends. I don't think they even consider me a friend. They are too weak."

Arthur was a little confused by Azula's way of seeing things, but he could understand. 

If they had a shitty father like Ozai, the perspective of the children he raised would be distorted like this.

Azula told him about her mother, and she smiled madly. 

She would make her mother regret abandoning her.

"I will show my mother that her choice was wrong. I am stronger and better than Zuko. Just wait and see!"

Arthur, seeing her like that, did something Azula never thought he would do. 

He pulled her into a hug and sat down on the bed.

Azula was now sitting on his lap. Azula blushed and tried to resist, but Arthur's strength was too much for her, making her look like a child trying to escape.

"What do you think you're doing–"

Before Azula could finish speaking, she felt the gentleness coming from him as he stroked her head.

Azula calmed down and closed her eyes. 

No one had done this to her in a long time, because no one was strong enough to do this to her.

His embrace was warm and strong, as if he could protect her from anything, even her cruel father.

"Relax Azula. It's just you and me here. I'm strong enough to be everything to you. So don't let those evil thoughts control you any more. Sleep tight because I'll always be by your side."

Azula heard his soft whisper and it comforted her. She resisted no more.

She, who had been anxious and tired for a long time, finally slept soundly for the first time.

No wonder she went crazy. She slept very little every day because of her nightmares. 

If he could make her sleep well and not go crazy, everything would be better.

"The Angel's magic you taught me is working very well."

Arthur admitted that words and actions alone would not be enough to calm Azula down. 

He had to use magic to help her and make her rest well.

The Angel's magic from DxD world was very good. 

Great Red and Ophis often use it on themselves when they are having trouble sleeping.

It helped both of them a lot when they wanted to go hibernation.

Azula was sleeping and Arthur wanted to lay her down on the bed. 

However, Azula grabbed his cloth tightly and would never let go.

"???"

Arthur didn't know what to do in this situation.

"Should I break my clothes? Nah, it is her fault for not letting me go."

Arthur decided to tease Asula a bit. He would lay down with her and see her reaction when she woke up.

Arthur underestimated how tired she was and it was him who fell deep asleep after waiting for her for sometime.

Azula woke up from her slumber. She stretched in comfort.

She had never felt this refreshing from sleeping since her mother left her.

"It would be great if I could sleep like this every day."

She remembered what happened and couldn't help but smirk.

She would have him no matter what. 

He heard her embarrassing story and he must take responsibility.

"Yes, he must take responsibility."

Azula looked at Arthur who was sleeping on her bed. 

He was sleeping soundly. 

She never thought that when she woke up, she would find her personal bodyguard sleeping on her bed next to her like this.

"Who else would dare to treat me like this?"

Deep down, Azula wanted someone who was not afraid of her and strong enough to subdue her. 

Arthur had all the qualities she was looking for.

He was the perfect partner for her. 

Azula had a different mindset from most ordinary girls. 

She didn't believe in love but power.

She wanted a partner who was as strong as her or stronger. 

She believed that a strong man would never betray her, since he could have everything. 

Why would such a person betray her?

If he wanted something, he just had to defeat her and take it. There would be no betrayal once he had everything that belonged to her.

There's nothing for him to betray when everything she had belonged to him.

"Wake up already. How long do you plan to sleep in my bed?"

Azula kicked Arthur out of her bed. 

Arthur, who was sleeping, didn't sense any bad intent from her, so he was kicked out of bed just like that.

"Why are you so cruel? Can't I sleep for another minute?"

Arthur grumbled before standing up and looking at Azula.

"You dare to ask me this kind of question? You're sleeping in the same bed as me, the princess of Fire Nation. I can order your execution, you know that?"

"That's so scary. If you want me dead, why don't you just kill me while I'm asleep? I know you want me to sleep with you. How is it? Did you sleep well?"

Arthur smirked. 

He knew Azula didn't mean what she said. 

What she said was just an empty threat, and a way to hide what she really thought.

Azula wanted to shoot fire at him again, but when she remembered that he was not afraid of fire, she used lightning instead, and Arthur was able to dodge her attack.

"Hey, are you going to be like this? I won't sleep with you anymore then."

Arthur acted angry and was about to leave the room. 

Azula, who heard that, was at a loss for words. 

Normally, Arthur wouldn't back down so easily.

She wanted to sleep well and not have nightmares anymore. 

However, if Arthur refused to sleep with her, she would have nightmares again.

"Stop, I order you to stop."

"No, I won't stop. I will only listen to those who are kind to me."

"Kindness is not a good thing, power is everything."

"Why would I need power when I already have it? I need your kindness. If you promise to be kind to me, I will make your nightmares go away."

Azula suddenly thought about it. What he said was true. 

He already had power and she couldn't give him more power. 

He didn't need her power, he needed her kindness. 

The problem was, she didn't know kindness. No, she knew it, but she had thrown it away.

"I can't give you what I don't have."

"You have it. The reason you can sleep well is because you still have it inside of you. If you don't believe me, I'll show you something."

Arthur used Angelic magic again, and Azula sensed that there was still goodness inside of her.

It was a beautiful feeling, a feeling she had before when she was taught by her father in all sorts of cruel ways.

Azula knew that she really had it but her mind and body rejected it.

"No! It's not me, It's not mine! Father is going to be disappointed in me. I can't!" 

Even with Angelic magic, if she couldn't get out of it on her own. It would be useless.

Arthur stopped using Angelic magic and hugged her again.

She calmed down when he hugged her.

She hugged him back as if he was her last resort.

"I've told you before, don't be afraid. I'll always be by your side."

Azula nodded, her mind calming down again before looking at Arthur's face.

"I know you have some purpose in joining us. If I were to ask you now, would you tell me?"

Azula wondered if he would answer her. 

Arthur shrugged. It wasn't something he had to hide. He even knew that if he told her his goal, she would be pleased.

"I want to be the fire lord, but I don't want to be the fire lord by Agni Kai, I want to be the fire lord but by other means."

Azula was surprised but laughed out loud. She was pleased as he thought.

"Then you and I will have to compete to see who will be the successor. Actually, whether you or I become the successor, it's the same."

Azula licked her lips. She knew he was the one for her. 

She didn't hesitate before pressing him down on the bed and kissing him passionately.

She had to have him before anyone else. 

How could she not know that Ty Lee wanted him? 

But she didn't care because she believed that in the end she would be the one to win.

And in her way of thinking, if he wanted concubines, all he had to do was subdue her and she would give him everything.

Arthur and Azula walked out of the room together like nothing happened.

They even help fixing their clothes and banter like an old couple would do.

How many people dared to do that to the princess of the fire nation. None at all.

And the princess actually returned the gesture even though she was quite aggressive about it.

It was something they would not believe if they hadn't seen everything with their own eyes.

All the elite guards were shocked and speechless when they witnessed that but no one dared to show their expression directly.

Except Koh who gave Arthur a thumbs up.

"You are my idol, my friend."

Azula walked toward the deck with Arthur. Her expression and craziness softened.

Many guards started to discuss that getting raided would make all the women become like that.

They were in harmony until someone jumped on Arthur.

"Arts, so you finally show yourself!"

It was the lovable Ty Lee. She didn't care about Azula at all and clung to Arthur's back like she was a koala.

"!!!"

Azula was surprised. She looked at Arthur with an inquiring gaze, asking what the hell was going on.

Arthur coughed slightly before speaking to her.

"The weather is really nice today, don't you think, Azula?"

"Don't change the subject. Are you planning to cheat on me?"

"Cheating on you, that's crazy, who would dare do that? Ty Lee and I are just good friends, right?"

"No, we're not just good friends. We're so much more than that!"

"..."

Arthur felt like he was in trouble. He knew Ty Lee just wanted to say that the two were connected by sharing martial arts, but Ty Lee's words were very misleading.

And when did he become a lover of Azula? Why didn't he know about it?

"Great Red, Ophis, did I do something to her while I was asleep?"

「We don't know. We were asleep too.」

What reliable dragons they were.

"Hmm, since things are like this, then it's good. I'll be able to show you how much better I am than her. Just you wait and see. I'll win your heart and make you mine completely—Arts"

Azula walked away, leaving him in her arms and two soft mounds pressing against his back.

The feeling was heavenly to the point that his dragon junior was about to awaken.

He shook his head and said to Ty Lee that she shouldn't make people misunderstand them like this.

"They didn't misunderstand at all. I intended to make us a couple. Azula got everything she wanted every time.  but this time, I won't give up."

Arthur didn't know what was happening. 

Everything happened so fast. Both of them wanted him even though they had only met for a short time.

Arthur didn't know that the women in this world were aggressive when it came to their future partner. 

If they like someone, they will relentlessly attack until they have that person.

And this world was like Emilia's world. 

This world allowed a man or a woman to have as many partners as they wanted, but they must be able to take care of their partners.

Ty Lee and Azula would fight each other to have him. But what kind of fight they would use was up to them, but it definitely wouldn't be a confrontation fight.

Mai who looked at them from a far sigh. She tried to prevent this scenario but it was impossible.

"Ty Lee really hates Azula, doesn't she."

Mai knew that Azula had forced herself on Ty Lee and broke her from where she belonged.

She also had the same opinion as her. She didn't want to come here but Azula forced her.

She hoped that bad things wouldn't happen to the two of them.

"I need to keep an eye on him. Otherwise, I don't know what trouble he would bring us."

Arthur could feel her hostility from miles away but he didn't show anything.

Her hostility was like from the cats who would scratch his hand if he dared to approach it too closely.

"Whatever happens happens."

Arthur just let it go at this point as he didn't have much experience with women.

Ty Lee stuck to him like glue. And Azula began her attack.

They would use seduction to attack him. They had a month on the battleship together before they would reach the resort village that Zuko and Iroh were in.

Arthur felt really good to be sandwiched by the crazy princess and the lovable martial artist.

Even though Mai glaring became more intensified as the time passed by, he didn't care at all.

And finally they reached the resort village. 

Arthur told Azula that he would go and scout the area for them first.

He left the ship before it even docked at the port.

They looked at him, who used fire as a jetpack to fly. 

They couldn't do that because their control over fire wasn't as good as him and they couldn't create fire from nothing.

Azula and Ty Lee stood by each other's side looking at his fading back.

"I am going to win no matter what."

"Why can't we share him? I am willing to share him with you!"

"...No, I must be first in his heart."

"But I think it's impossible. He must already have someone else in his nation."

"...I will go to his nation after we finish our job here or after he or I become the fire lord…"

Ty Lee and Azula should become more hostile to each other but for some reasons they understood each other more than before.

And Ty Lee didn't hate her anymore but pity her for what she had been through.

Her life was considered paradise when compared to her.

Ty Lee thought to herself if her family was so shitty why don't they become family to each other thus solved the problem!

She was really a genius.

'Should I bring Mai into this. We can be together forever like we did when we were kids.'
