Suprise Visitor

Niklaus stood in the room, his gaze fixed on the door as Laura left.

The sound of it clicking shut echoed briefly, leaving only the soft sound of Ashley's shallow breathing.

She stood a few feet away, her arms wrapped tightly around herself, trying to hold it together.

But he could see the tremble in her shoulders, the way her lower lip quivered.

It was only a matter of seconds before the dam would break.

"Ashley..." he called softly, his tone no longer harsh, no longer filled with the coldness he'd used before.

She turned to him, her eyes already brimming with tears.

"I-" Her voice cracked as she tried to speak, but nothing came out. Instead, she took one shaky step forward, then another, before her legs buckled beneath her.

In an instant, Niklaus was there, catching her before she hit the ground.

Without a word, he pulled her close, his arms wrapping around her small frame tightly as she finally let go.

Her tears came silently at first, her body trembling in his arms, and then the sobs followed—quiet, stifled sounds that she tried to suppress but couldn't.

Niklaus held her, his hand smoothing over her back as she buried her face into his chest, her tears soaking through his shirt.

His own heart ached at the sight of her so broken, so fragile.

He knew he had pushed her too far, that the coldness he'd used had cut deeper than he'd intended.

She was always trying to be strong, always trying to please him and he forgot in his stress that has been building overtime.

"I'm sorry for being too harsh," he whispered softly, his chin resting atop her head as she cried.

Ashley's fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt, as she slowly got back her bearings.

For someone like her a single to make her rethink all her life and develop many untasteful thoights and Niklaus regretted speaking that way.

He was too careless.

---

Niklaus stood in the room alone after finishing consoling his senses heightened and mind restless.

Something felt off.

The night, usually quiet in these moments, suddenly buzzed with a faint, familiar energy.

His jaw tightened as a chill crept up his spine.

He knew that feeling.

That presence.

Charys as the name he had found out from the baldhead supreme.

He hadn't sensed her since he destroyed her body, bu her presence was burned into his mind.

She had once destroyed his entire timeline—upended his reality like it was a game.

He could never forget someone like that.

His eyes narrowed, already tracking her approach from a distance.

He didn't know the girl's body she was wearing, didn't care.

All that mattered was that Charys was near.

As the door creaked open, a figure stepped through—blonde hair, pale skin, calm eyes. She looked like any othe girl.

But Niklaus knew better.

He could feel the weight of her presence, that unmistakable energy.

Niklaus didn't give her time to speak.

His anger flared instantly, his patience long since gone.

He moved faster than a blur, his hand already wrapping around her throat with brutal force as decay spread from his hand.

Charys gasped, eyes widening in shock.

"Don't bother," Niklaus spat, his grip tightening as he lifted her off the ground. "I know who you are. And I don't care what you want."

"The only thing i want from you is your death"

Charys opened her mouth, trying to speak, but Niklaus was done listening.

His other hand shot forward, plunging into her chest with a sickening crack.

He tore through flesh and bone, ripping her heart out before she could even finish her breath.

New Order he spoke slightly as he activated his reality bending.

Her body convulsed once, twice, then went limp in his grasp as he forcibly used new order to put her to death after realising she wasn't dying physically.

Niklaus let her drop to the floor like a broken doll, heart still clutched in his hand.

His breath came in harsh bursts, anger pulsing through him.

Finally, she was dead.

But then…something strange happened.

Before he could even blink, a glowing purple light emanated from the wound in her chest, spreading like wildfire.

It wasn't some simple energy—it was time itself bending, warping around her. The room seemed to flicker, in and out of existence for a moment.

Niklaus' eyes widened as the light expanded, enveloping everything in its path.

His grip loosened, the heart slipping from his fingers as he watched the timeline reset before his very eyes.

And then, just like that, it was over.

Charys—stood before him once more.

Her skin was smooth, unmarked, her eyes calm as if nothing had happened.

The door was closed again, her heart beating in her chest, the floor unstained by blood.

Niklaus stood there, frozen, his hand still raised where he had just killed her.

He felt a surge of disbelief, followed by a flash of anger.

She had reset the timeline.

Erased his actions like they were nothing.

"Damn you," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.

His anger burned hotter, but now laced with a sense of futility.

She had played him—again.

Charys, her voice steady and unbothered, finally spoke. "I told you, I'm not here to fight."

Niklaus' fist clenched, his rage simmering just below the surface.

He couldn't kill her.

Not like this.

She was playing with forces beyond his control, and she knew it.

"Talk, then," he hissed, eyes narrowing. "But don't think for a second I won't find a way to kill you."

Niklaus' gaze never left Charys as she spoke, the anger in his eyes barely held in check.

His mind raced, trying to understand how she could stand there so calmly after everything she had done.

His fingers twitched, ready to strike again, but he knew it wouldn't matter.

Not with whatever set up she had made to prevent her from dying.

Charys, standing in Rebekah's body, smiled faintly, sensing the tension in the room. "I'm not here to kill you, Niklaus. If I wanted that, you'd already be gone."

She took a step forward, cautiously, as if testing his reaction. "I'm here for your own good."

He scoffed, eyes narrowing. "My own good? You've already once destroyed my timeline, ripped apart everything I had, and now you come here talking about my 'good'?"

His voice was venomous, but there was also a twinge of disbelief, like he couldn't believe she would have the nerve to show up again.

Charys raised an eyebrow, her expression curious. "So… that fight wasn't the first time we've met?" She folded her arms, her mind working.

"Interesting. I never figured you might have survived a timeline destruction somehow, but this… well, this changes things."

She seemed genuinely intrigued, her gaze sharpening as if Niklaus himself were a puzzle she couldn't quite solve."How did you survive?"

She asked, not with malice, but with the genuine curiosity of someone who had seen countless outcomes but had never predicted this one. "I mean i didn't survive with my knowledge but i could sense that a reset was used, but you seem to know everything "

Niklaus clenched his jaw. He wasn't about to give her any answers. "That's none of your concern."

Charys shrugged.

"Fair enough. But you should know I no longer have any reason to destroy you or anything else in your world. That part of my plan is… done.I have rather different prioritiesright now."
