Reborn!

"Apologies, but as you have guessed kid, you have passed away." A lady sitting on the main seat of the office said. The boy in front of her front of her nodded, but seemed more curious than sad.

"Interesting, you have seemed to accepted it easily. Care to explain?" She asked the boy, who looked like a ghost with physical form.

"Well, how the hell do I hope to survive a virus which doesn't have a vaccine. Plus, I was a orphan, so nobody close for me to miss. Or for them to miss me." The kid explained." Though if you don't mind me asking, you could've taken the knowledge right out of my head, … or soul." The boy asked.

"I see, as for your question, where is the fun in that. I rarely get pure souls to talk to these days." The woman, no, the being explained. "I can see your curiosity. Ask away, we have quite the time."

"Um, can I know who you are? And what you do? What are your views regarding humans or other aliens, if there are some?" The boy asked repeatedly.

The being smiled a little and said. "My real name is spoken in a powerful language, and speaking it may damage or erase your soul, so I usually go by Axis in the mortal realm, whenever I visit. I am usually responsible for teaching new beings who reach our dimension about our role in the omniverse, which I cannot explain to you right now. And regarding my views, well, bluntly, if I were a human, you would be an ant, except, if you would die before you even think to bite me." She said, releasing a powerful aura, completely scaring the boy.

But the boy didn't collapse under pressure, but managed to talk. "...That's quite harsh." He said.

Axis stopped emanating the pressure, while her smile widened a bit and replied. "Well, as harsh as it sounds, it's the truth. When you come across ants, you either try avoiding to step on them, or do it because you don't care. Same for us. We may observe mortals to satisfy our curiosity, but it doesn't mean we take care of you. In fact, in the past some beings have tried to take mortals for themselves to play with. The only reason it doesn't really happen is due to the deal with have with will of the worlds."

The boy sat silently digesting the information given and asked, "Can you explain about Will of the worlds, or the deal, ..if that's okay. Of course, I don't mind if it's not, sorry for being forceful." The boy asked seriously, but turned flustered because he was scared of making her angry.

Axis chuckled seeing this and said, "Calm down kid, we have patience beyond your limits can be. We do have our pride, but so do we have compassion. That's what our existence is. As for the will of the world, it is a world's will, who usually helps the mortals, in them, protects them from outer harm the best they can, but at the same time punish for their sins. Luck, karma, etc exist because of them.

As for the deal, you see, a species faces war or famine, depending on the state and mentality of the mortals that reside within. As your case, your species has suffered because many have tried to control yours with unjust means. There are always some causalities, of course. Like you, many unrelated have also died. But so have many of those who have been targeted, karma. Because of this, normally, the souls enter the reincarnation cycle according to their purity, but those who cross a threshold in purity are sent to us to help them.

We also get the chance to observe mortals, sometimes visit, or sometimes experiment, those who do not harm too much. In return, we prevent those of our kind who have bad intentions from attacking. I cannot talk more than that about a universe, or how it works though. You have to earn it yourself. I believe I have said enough. Anything else?" She asked.

"How am I pure, I don't remember doing anything. And what will happen to me?" The boy asked.

"The reason you are pure is because you still had good intentions for everyone around you, while the kids even at a young age get contaminated by adults into being selfish. You are a rarity. As for what will happen to you.." Axis answered and snapped her fingers, as two wheel materialized in front of them.

"You can reincarnate. The wheels select your fate. One decided the world you will go to, while the other decides the talent or power you get, depending on the world. Except them, you will get 5 wishes. But you can only use them to toggle your wishes or your destination a bit. Not too much. You ready?" She explained and asked.

The boy stared at the wheels in amazement. The first one was filled with worlds like Bleach, Classroom of the Elite, and so on, while the other was blank, probably to display perks in respect to the chosen world. Having superman's powers in Classroom of the Elite sound like a disaster, if anything.

The boy took a deep breath, and pushed the button. The wheel kept spinning, much to his excitement, as well as anxiety. It finally slowed down, and after a few seconds, stopped.

The boy just stared in astonishment at what he was seeing. "Marvel !".

"A good world, but your life still depends on what you get. Ready to start?"

The boy nervously looked at the second wheel. The options showed Super soldier serum, Increased intellect, to Kryptonian powers, Power copy, and other things. He again took a deep breath and hit the button. The wheel finally stopped, much to his surprise. The option showed "Ultimate Blank Symbiote(4 slots available)"

The boy looked confusedly towards Axis, who answered. "You hit the jackpot, one of the 5 star options. Well, potential five star that is. As for the symbiote, as you can see, it is currently blank. I doesn't have any powers right now, not even Venom's. You have to fill the gaps. You have two methods to fill. You can choose a power. That way, you have a symbiote help you do that. The other is select a being for gaining all their powers. It just as 2 problems. For example, if you choose Carnage, the symbiote will gain the same psychotic nature. And the second is control. That also exists for powers. If you directly choose something like fundamental force manipulation without much knowledge, or if your body isn't strong enough, you will die from using it. What happens to you after reincarnation is not our responsibility." She explained seriously.

The boy closed his eyes and silently contemplated his choices for a while. After some time, he opened his eyes and said, "I've decided."

Axis, intrigued, nodded him to continue. "For the four slots, I choose All Black- The Necrosword, The Darkness(from Witchblade), The Angelus(from Witchblade), and Malware from ben 10." Axis, narrowed her eyes hearing this. She had just warned her of the consequences, but didn't say anything. She had already warned, it's his decision. She had hoped he would be one of the smarter ones, from his curiosity.

"Well, let's hear your wishes. We can finalize your wishes after that." She said.

"Okay. uh, will I have to ask for my memories to not be erased?" He asked.

"Yes" She bluntly replied.

"Then my first one is to keep my memory perfectly. I don't want to forget anything important after reincarnating." He said, getting a nod from her.

"For my second wish, I want all problems I can get from the Symbiote removed." He spoke. This perked up the disappointed Axis.

"Explain more, if you would." She asked with a bit of interest.

"Well, I want all inconveniences I would encounter with her removed. For example, lack of loyalty, need to eat brains, want to take over the world, or my body to cause harm to others. Also the weaknesses, like Darkness's weakness to light or Malware's to electricity."

" hehe.. Hahahaha" This made Axis laugh with glee. "Good job selecting it, a fine wish, if I do say so myself. You didn't disappoint me like some other fools, who believed they would easily tame such powers."

"So, if I had gotten an ability like Black Hole, would I have swallowed myself?" He asked.

"Yes, that's why you are given 5 wishes, to control them." She replied. "I will be watching you with interest." She said smiling.

"I never said I would do something drastic. I could just live silently." He said.

"She snorted hearing this and replied, "With your nature, highly unlikely." The boy smiled wryly hearing this.

"Oh, I wanted to ask, does All Black have the capability to copy powers?" He asked.

"Yes, much higher than venom too. Though you have to adapt to each one. Cannot just go on a hunt. As for the conditions, learn them yourself. Now, your third wish?" Axis asked the question before he could inquire more about his ability. The boy sighed at not getting his answer, but didn't complain.

"I remember you telling me about control issues, so my third wish is to be adaptable to it, so my I don't die just by using them." The boy asked.

Axis hummed and said. "There will be a slight change. You cannot just get too powerful out of nowhere. Instead, you will have different levels of output and control depending on the powers. Strong ones will be on different stages. Those who do not require it will integrate normally." She explained, getting a nod from him.

"My fourth wish is knowledge regarding the 4 factors of the symbiote. Be it general, scientific, or magical." The boy said.

"Another good wish. Now I am really looking forward to see your feats kid. Each part will have knowledge related to it. But to a certain extent. Nothing too world breaking." She explained.

"Well, for my final wish, I want the blessing of the will of the world. Or simply said, plot armour." Th boy said.

"Granted." Axis replied, finalizing the decision. Immediately four orbs appeared, two pitch black, one fiery red, while other glowing red with electrical sparks. They merged into one, then some black smoke appeared, which Axis took in her hand and crushed to nothing. The now black and red orb entered the boy's soul body and disappeared.

"Any condition for your family?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Good financially? I guess. Never really had one at the orphanage." He answered.

Axis thought for a moment, then smiled. The boy felt danger because of the smile and spoke, "Uhh, mam?"

"Fufufu, don't worry, I have found the perfect place. In fact, it will provide you with the perfect backstory for the symbiote as well. Now, take care" She said and waved.

"Wai-" The boy tried to say something, but got pulled into the hole that opened behind him, and blacked out.

Axis summoned a tv and some popcorn, and said, "Well, his reaction will be a good one." She said, smiling.
