Left behind.

" How are you feeling?"

Rachel asked Nathan as the two sat in bed cuddled together.

Nathan had finally healed enough to be allowed to return to his room so long as he didn't do any kind of strenuous activities.

" I'm sad, Rachel. I lost a man I called my father and Hepzibah is gone as well. But I'm going to bounce back. We all will and when we do, I'm going to tear Vulcan's head off his shoulders. But first I want to see my father properly laid to rest."

Nathan explained to the woman as he went through a torrent of different emotions starting with sadness, then anger, and finally contempt.

" I'm sure Alex will feel the same as you. Do you know where it is you want to bury him?"

Rachel asked the man.

" Yeah, a little planet. It's uninhabited. A perfect place to lay to rest one of the greatest pirates to ever live."

Nathan explained to the woman.

" Well, then let's go. I'm sure the others would love to hear this. And I'm certain you and Alex need to talk."

Rachel said to the man as she sat up in bed. She leaned over the edge and slid her boots back on before getting up.

Nathan nodded at the woman and slowly lifted his body out of bed.

" Here, let me help."

Rachel said as she wrapped Nathan's arm around her neck, giving him a solid foundation for him to get his bearings once again.

" Thank you, Rachel."

Nathan groaned as he slowly started moving.

" No problem, Nathan. Now take your time. We'll move as fast as you want."

Rachel said to the man in support.

Nathan with Rachel's help slowly started making his way through the ship. The man received stares of grief and sympathy from nearly every member of the ship who was up and working at the time. Others simply chose to avert their gaze from the injured Captain.

Nathan felt extreme sadness seeing his once proud crew reduced to what they are now.

" It'll be okay. We'll get through this. All of us. Don't let Corsair's death be in vain. Don't give up hope. not yet. We may be down. But we are not out. Not yet. Not by a longshot. Do you hear me?"

Nathan gave a speech to the crew in the hopes of reigniting their flames.

The crew turned to the man with hope in their eyes. But still, they each harbored feelings of doubt in their minds.

Nathan smiled weakly at his crew before nodding to Rachel to continue their walk to the command deck. The door to the command deck opened and Rachel and Nathan stepped inside much to the shock of Alex and Lorna.

" So, you're finally up and about. Glad to see you haven't left us as well Nathan."

Ch'od said to his old friend as he saluted his return.

" Thank you Ch'od. I'm glad to see you all have healed alright. But now's not the time for resting. I'm sure you know as I do, sikorsky. We need to bury Corsair."

Nathan explained to the group.

" Right to the point, huh kid? Well, I can't blame ya. We were waiting for you to wake up to lay him to rest in the first place."

Sikorsky replied back to the man as he clung to Rachel.

" What did you have in mind?"

Alex asked still saddened over the loss of his father.

Rachel helped Nathan to the control panel and helped the man punch in the coordinates to the planet he had in mind.

The Ship made the jump and the Nathan and the rest of the men and women in the room gathered Corsairs body and went planet side to bury the legendary captain once and for all.

" You sure this is, okay? This uninhabited little planet?"

Alex asked as he and the others stared down at Corsairs fresh grave

Nathan nodded his head and responded

" This is where he would bring Hepzibah and I. He called it roughing it. He'd want this to be his final resting place."

Nathan explained to the man.

" Thank you all for being here. But now I have a question for all of you. Will you follow the others back to earth? Or will you stay with us and fight? Whatever you decide we would be glad to assist you."

Nathan asked the three remaining X-Men

" It's up to you Alex."

Lorna turned to the man and spoke.

Alex hung his head in sadness as he wondered about the question himself.

" No, it's not. It can't be my decision."

Alex exclaimed

" But it is."

Lorna replied.

" Lorna's right, Havok. You're the leader of our ragtag band now. Whether you like it or not."

Rachel explained to the man.

Alex lifted his head up and answered Nathan's question.

" Right..."

Alex exclaimed as he slammed his fists together.

" Then we stay and bring my little brother the justice he deserves."

Alex stated proudly.

" Well, then welcome Havok to the Starjammers!"

Nathan shook Alex's hand.

After saying their last goodbyes, the Starjammers returned to their ship and left for the stars to continue their fight against Vulcan and Deathbird.

Two days later Havok gathered Rachel and Lorna and the three X-Men sent a message home to earth for the others to see.

" I hope you'll all understand, especially you, Scott and you Professor. Our job out here isn't done until Lilandra is restored to the throne. We're going to help the Starjammers lead the resistance against Vulcan and Deathbird. Because we have to end this threat. He has to die. And X-Men don't kill, so I guess we aren't X-Men anymore. We're what my brother turned us into. If we succeed, we'll see you all again... Hopefully soon. But if we fail, you have to send someone else to stop Vulcan... Because he's crazy. He's a warped child... And if we fail, I truly believe the Shi'ar armada will head for earth."

Alex messaged home to the others one last time before cutting transmission for good.

Alex turned and looked at the others and simply asked.

" Where to now?"

Alex asked.

" To the Stars."

Nathan exclaimed.

The ships jump engines turned on and the ship blasted off into space ready to confront Vulcan's forces.

A few minutes after the Ship launched a glowing emerald light enveloped the space where the ship had been and out from the light stepped a man.

In a green and black suit with a green and white lantern emblem on his chest.

Stepping into the light was Green Lantern Hal Jordan. [ LAST OF THE GREEN LANTERNS!]
