Date Night! In-canon Filler.

" How have you been Ro?"

The voice asked as it made a move on the chess board.

" I've been good. How about you? Are you remembering to eat?"

Storm asked the man as she moved her piece on the board.

" Yes, I have. You know me I love to eat. And your food is definitely my favorite."

The man replied to the woman after moving another piece.

" I'm glad to hear you're taking care of yourself."

Storm said to the man.

" How are things at the school? Are they as strange as I've been hearing they are?"

The man asked.

" Stranger. But other than the inebriated blue devils that insist on sneaking into my garden and eating my azaleas, I am settling in just fine."

Storm explained to the man.

" A garden. Does that mean you're back in the attic?"

The man asked.

" No. The attic was already taken by a deathlok no less. Instead, I'm somewhere with a better view."

Storm explained to the man amusedly as she sat in her garden in the sky.

" That sounds nice."

The man said to the woman.

" So, what have you been meaning to ask me?"

Storm asked the man as she moved her piece.

" Well, I was wondering if..."

The man started.

" Iffff?"

Storm asked the man as she drew out his words.

" I was wondering if you were seeing anyone."

The man suddenly asked.

His question left storm a little speechless as she moved her piece.

" No, I am not."

Storm finally replied to the man.

" Well, I was wondering if you were free tonight. If perhaps you would like to go out... On a date."

The man asked Storm as he moved his last piece.

" Checkmate. You have to stop letting me win, Kyle."

Storm said to the man as she captured the board.

" Hahaha! Okay, on one condition. You let me take you on a date."

Kyle said to the woman with more confidence than before.

Storm smiled at the man, her beautiful blue eyes starring right into his emerald, green eyes.

" That sounds lovely, Kyle. The others were planning a date night as well. We could accompany them if you'd like."

Storm explained to the man.

" Actually, I was hoping it would just be us."

Kyle said to the woman.

" Even better. I'll see you tonight."

Storm said to the man before ending the video call.

Downstairs the others were getting ready to leave for their evening of leisure.

" Rach, I can't tell you how much I've missed you over the past few weeks."

Nathan said to the woman as he hugged her tightly.

" I missed you too, Nathan. But it was important that I handled things. I'm sorry for being gone so long. But tonight we get to have some fun."

Rachel said to the man.

" Heh! And poor old Logan get's stuck watching the kids. Speaking of Logan, where is he?"

Nathan asked as he looked around for the woman.

" Five. Four. Three. Two. One."

Rachel started counting down.

" RACHEL!"

Logan yelled as he approached the mansion grounds.

" Good. You got my message. I'm sure you haven't forgotten it's your turn to babysit tonight?"

Rachel asked the man as she and the others stepped of the porch of the institute.

" What? Where's everybody going?"

Logan asked in confusion.

" Teachers' night out. We've all been busy recently. So, tonight the teachers are heading into town for some well deserved Leisure time."

Storm explained to the man as she stepped out of the mansion. Her beautiful black dress hugging every curve on her body. Her beautiful long white hair freely flowing down her back. Her heels a sparkling black.

" Whoa! Ororo, where are you going so dressed up?"

Rachel asked the woman.

" I'm going on a date."

Storm replied.

" That's obvious. but with who?"

Rachel asked again.

" I believe he is here.""

Storm said to the group as she gestured for them to look up into the air.

A bright green light filled the sky above the Jean Grey's school for the gifted and down from the light came Kyle dressed in a black slim fit suit.

" Hey, Ro. You look absolutely stunning."

Kyle said to the woman as he touched down in front of her.

Storm looked up at the man and smiled.

" Thank you, Kyle. I must say you look very handsome yourself."

Storm said to the man before placing a soft kiss on his cheek.

Kyle smiled and rubbed the spot where she kissed him softly.

" Wait, Ro, I thought you were going to help me watch the kids?"

Logan asked the woman.

" Welp, Looks like you're all alone, Logan. Take care buddy. I got a lovely lady to tend to tonight. If you need help don't call."

Nathan said to the man as he swooped Rachel up in his arms.

" Well, what about Kitty?"

Logan.

" Nope, sorry. She's on a date with Bobby. Which means you're all alone. And since Toad's off as well. That means you're on Bamf poop duty."

Rachel explained to the man.

" You gotta be flamin... Wait a second... Kitty's on a date with who?"

Logan suddenly stopped and asked in confusion.

" She's on a date with bobby. And speaking of. I think it's time we went out on ours. Ladies?"

Nathan said to Logan before turning to Rachel, Warbird, and Storm.

" You're not trying to flirt with Naganadini are you?"

Rachel asked as she peered up at Nathan with a smirk on her face.

" Of course, not. You're the prettiest bird of them all Rach. And the only one for me."

Nathan said to the woman as he rubbed his face against her.

" Are you ready to leave, my goddess?"

Kyle turned and asked Storm as the two stood watching the others.

" I am, my dear."

Storm said to the man.

Kyle bowed to the woman and held out his hand, asking for Ororo to place her hand in his.

Ororo smiled and placed her hand into his and allowed him to softly take it in his and place a kiss on the top of her hand.

Kyle then guided Storm into his own light construct and took off from the mansion.

" Let's take a page from their book and split."

Nathan said to Rachel as he, Warbird, Doop, and deathlok all made their way to the limo they were going to use to head into town. Leaving, Logan behind to handle the kids all night by himself.

" QUIRE!!!!!!!"

Logan yelled out as he walked into the mansion to see the boy destroying stuff.

Deathlok being the designated driver, drove the mutants to a popular club in town.

The music was loud enough to hear down the street, there was a long line down the street which thanks to their powers or more specifically, Rachel's, the group was able to quickly enter the building.

In the middle of the dance floor, Nathan and Rachel were dancing. Rachel pressed her ass against Nathan's crotch as the two danced close together. Over in the corner Warbird and Doop were having sex. And deatlok was waiting at the groups table.

On the other side of Town Kyle and Storm arrived at their restaurant and were quickly seated thanks to Kyle having already made reservations.

" Well, I must say I've always wanted to try coming here. But I've never been able to get a reservation. How did you do it?"

Ororo asked the man as they sat at their table.

" Well, I saved the owners life a while back and he basically gave me a free pass to eat here whenever I want. I usually don't accept offers like this but when I finally gathered the courage to ask you out I figured now would be as good a time as any to actually try coming here."

Kyle explained to the woman.

" Really, so romantic."

Storm said to the man as she rolled her eyes.

Kyle's smile faded and was instantly replaced by worry. Seeing this Storm couldn't help but laugh at the man.

" Kyle, I'm kidding. I think this is lovely."

Storm said to the man.

Hearing her words the feeling of anxiousness quickly left Kyle's body and allowed him to relax once again.

" Are you ready to order?"

The waiter asked the two as he approached the table.

The two looked up at the man and said yes.

Returning to Nathan and the others at the club, things had taken a slight turn as some man from the club groped Rachel.

" You touch my girl again and I'll kick your fucking teeth in bitch!"

Nathan yelled as Rachel and Doop pushed him away from the man in question.

" Yeah? I'd like to you try pussy!"

The man yelled back

" Nana, give me your sword."

Nathan turned to warbird and asked for her sword.

Warbird reached under her long hair and pulled out her blade and handed it to Nathan.

The man's face turned pale as he saw Nathan suddenly wield such a large and sharp blade.

" Hey, it's cool man. I'm sorry I won't do it again."

The man changed his tune quickly and ran out of the club as fast as he could to avoid being killed.

" Ugh! What am I going to do with you?"

Rachel asked Nathan as he handed Warbird her sword back.

" No way was I gonna let that guy disrespect my girl like that."

Nathan declared.

" Your girl. I like how that sounds."

Rachel purred as she hugged Nathan.

The two sides of the night both going very differently yet exactly the same as the couples enjoyed their time together.

Rachel and Warbird both ended up drunk and had to be carried to the car by their dates and Storm and Kyle after a lovely dinner returned to his apartment.

Nathan and Rachel retired to their rooms after the night in the town and rested while across town a sudden severe thunderstorm hit the city.
