The anticipated and long-awaited winter has arrived. It may not have snow yet, but the Palace, especially the Queen Consort Palace, was already busy with something called "heater".
"Don't exaggerate. I'm not going to die just because of winter," said Selah tired of herself with the over-treatment of the people around her.
"Please accept, Your Highness. Prince Aeneas himself asked us to keep you warm," explained Sutton.
"He even looks ready to bring spring early if he can," she muttered, glancing at the gray winter sky. "Will Prince Aeneas still have work outside after this?"
"There isn't any. Normally in winter like this, Crown Prince Blair would forbid Prince Aeneas from going out on business. Crown Prince Blair doesn't want Prince Aeneas to have an accident due to snow," he explained. "Moreover… after the painting incident at the time…"
After the accident, all the paintings were repaired and re-hung to make them stronger. Selah didn't expect Blair to go that far.
But, well… "It's good that Prince Aeneas is around the Palace more often," said Selah. Sutton smiled broadly. "Why do you smile like that?" she clicked.
"Ah, my apologies, Your Highness," said Sutton meaningfully.
Selah is getting used to it now. Even though the people here served on behalf of Queen Consort Catalina, they were more like Aeneas in attitude and behavior. Aeneas is like the master here because he is the one who took over this palace. Well, it's not that their attitude is terrible, it's just that way of flirting that irritates Selah.
Or maybe she just admits that he's been too stiff and serious all this time, Selah thought.
This may be a good and normal environment for raising a child. Selah feels comfortable here, away from crazy family pressures and other threats.
But she doesn't know how long this peace will last...
"Your Highness, you have a letter from Tullia," said Janette, who came in with a letter.
"In winter like this?" asked Selah, surprised.
She looked at the letter and was surprised to find that it was not written in her uncle's hand. Hacket wrote the letter.
Tullia must be in trouble.

"I rushed here because I heard something crazy. Selah, for God's sake, calm yourself," said Aeneas as soon as he entered their room.
Selah gave him a sharp look, then continued packing her things. She silently ignores it until Aeneas has to pull her away.
"Selah, this is my request as your husband. Please listen to me. If not for yourself, do it for our child. Are you willing to take the risk of going on a long journey in the middle of winter while pregnant?" asked Aeneas, confused.
Upon hearing those words, Selah immediately came to her senses. She would have almost fallen to her knees if Aeneas had not supported her. "Damn… I thought… I thought everything would be fine until the end. Stupid me for thinking that. The current state of security must have lulled me," she muttered, half crying.
The letter from Tullia just now told her about the landslide at Tullia's mine. The landslide then caused flooding and a series of impacts, leaving the area in chaos. The accident got bigger because Baron Tullia (unfortunately) happened to be on inspection when the avalanche occurred.
In a way, right now, the Tullia region was half paralyzed because their leader was also injured. After all, it was clear that Tullia had great people, so an avalanche or any accident couldn't have happened. So you can be sure this series of accidents is someone else's fault.
"I've sent people there so that we can calm down for a while..." said Aeneas trying to calm her down.
"How can I calm down?! My uncle was over there injured by the commotion surrounding him!" screamed Selah, annoyed.
"Selah…" Aeneas sat her down, then patted the back of her hand. "For once, entrust your matters to me. We've become family, which means Baron Tullia is my family too. Now, I'm trying to help him. So please trust me, okay?"
Selah closed her eyes, trying to regulate her breathing and thoughts. Her stomach hurt a little, but she felt he couldn't show it to Aeneas.
"Selah…Selah?!" called Aeneas frantically. "This is what I mean!"
"You're being loud," Selah hissed. Aeneas knows that she feels sick.
Immediately Aeneas helped Selah lie down. "Wait here. I'll call the healer first… Janette! Janette!"
Selah was back alone in their room. To focus her mind, she tried to look around. Her suitcase was under the open cupboard, some clothes and other equipment lying not far from there. Selah was totally ready to go after the troublemaker in Tullia at this moment.
But of course, not with the current situation.
"Can't you calm down a bit? Sorry for getting angry all of a sudden," Selah muttered while rubbing her stomach.
It's true what Aeneas said. At a time like this, Selah must put her child first. She had to calm down and try to entrust everything to other people.
Selah had to calm down and wait patiently. She must not act rashly and destroy everything she has planned with Aeneas.
Because deep down, the revenge for Blair's betrayal still haunts her.

The first snow fell that day. No wonder the sky had been dark since this morning. Even today, the atmosphere is gloomy.
If it's been snowing during the day like this, tonight the air may be colder than usual. Blair had to ask the butler to increase the heat in his father's room.
"Your Highness, it's me," said Raul as he approached Blair on his office balcony. "Just now, I heard that Prince Aeneas summoned a healer for Princess Selah."
"Is it true?" he asked. Hands stretched out, trying to contain the snow in his palms. "Something happens?"
"From what I heard, Princess Selah isn't currently injured or anything. So, I assume that she is stressed, and it is disturbing her pregnancy."
Blair grunted in amusement, then turned around. "Yeah, it must be, considering how she is," he said. "Looks like news from Tullia has reached her."
"Do I still have to keep an eye on Princess Selah again?"
"For now, there's no need. I'm sure something that happens to Selah next will definitely make big news. So I don't need someone to watch over her," Blair said. "Now you can go back to your usual job."
"Yes, Your Highness."
Selah, you better get ready, Blair thought as he stared at the snow falling from the sky.
Maybe Blair will lose his father, but he will gain Aeneas as well as Tullia's Ruby Mine.
