All the anger vanished like it never came and Esther ended up all in the king's arms. The royal physician came inside to examine her when she woke up, the baby was in good health as compared to Esther, she looked pale and weaker. This made the king to spend his time with her, he didn't want anything bad to happen, he had a son though but he was so eager to see Esther's child, he held her hand while waiting for the physician to check her and the smile never left his face. " Your majesty, all is well and the baby is fine but for the queen, she will need a lot of rest and care. I will be coming back to check her first weight in a week time" he said and bowed his head, Esther still couldn't believe that she was actually pregnant and her hands roamed on her flat belly. She was fed with blood often and food, fruits and other nutrients a pregnant woman would need to grow her baby and herself. Being so tired of the bed she got up to walk around in her room, the king had gone out for an important meeting and she saw this was a chance to walk a little.
She covered herself with a long coat that went pass the length of her nightgown and went out of her room barefooted, it was almost sun down and most vampires were still sleeping whiles some stronger ones are awake already, preparing for their day time. She walked on the cold marbled floors of the hallway, no sound came from her and she continued to walk further, " what a surprise, queen Esther!" A voice startled her and she looked behind, how come she didn't see anyone there sometime ago, "Austin, its you" she calmed and the teenage boy stared at her, " prince Austin, it's prince Austin! And yes I have been standing here for a while" he said looking at her straight. Esther smiled and reframed her words, " my apologies, prince Austin..... what is the handsome prince doing out here?" She asked and smiled lovely to him, she wished she would have a child handsome as him. Her hands itched to touch him, to touch his face and caress his young face and brush his hair backwards to reveal his handsome face, but he frowned at her attempt. And moved away from her, " I don't like that!" He said with annoyance, " am not a child you know?" He added and Esther chuckled, looking at the boy with unbelievable eyes, it was just a decade and seven years ago he was born and she saw him grow. " As you say then, prince Austin....I will be taking a walk then, do you want to accompany me?" She asked him and the boy looked reluctant and looked ahead of them. " Are you supposed to be walking, father will be angry?" He said and Esther nodded. Then she coaxed him to come closer as if she wanted to tell him something that no one was supposed to hear, he brought his head and ear closer to her and she whispered into his ear, " let this be our little secret, will you?" She said and raised a brow at him and he nodded, how childish....
They made their way to the isolated garden of the palace, where blue berries and apples were grown and sat down on the well kept grass, they took some fruits and started eating them. The sweet juicy liquid made Esther moan, she was just craving for this, the king refused her from taking them because he thought, the fruits were not clean. The fact that the servants in the palace were the ones who were taking care of it made him refuse her, he didn't want anything to befall his wife and child. Esther ate what she wanted and so did Austin, chatter filled between them as if she didn't know who's son she was spending time with, the sun set off and the clouds became beautiful with the orange thing it gave in the skies and the environment was quite, the birds returned to their nests and other creatures as well except for the vampires.
The air around them turned colder than before and she shivered, thinking of Austin she stood up and left with him, the last thing she wanted was to get him sick. Even though he was a vampire, his mother would make a big deal out of it, when they got to his quarters, she bid him goodbye and left there still barefooted. The cold made her shiver continuesly and she rubbed her arms with her palms to keep warm, her feets walked faster than she could imagine and in no time she got into her room again and closed the door behind her and rested on the door to take a breath. " Where were you?" Came the cold voice of the king, he sat in the dark and from the looks of things, he was in a bad mood. He switched on a single lamp and the light showed his angered face, he still looked breathtakingly handsome and she shivered at his gaze. Like a child who was caught doing something real bad she smiled sheepishly and when she tried to walk to him, he was not there! Her eyes widened, was she imagining? She felt a cold breathe on her shoulders and when she turned around the king grabbed her by the shoulder and traced her to the nearest wall, pinning her hard on the wall. She screamed at the fresh pain that run down her body, he was very angry and she knew it. " I asked you a question?" He demanded and she shivered again. " I-I was taking a walk in the palace" she said not looking at him, " And?" He asked her again looking straight into her soul and she didn't want to speak again and tried to push him aside but he pushed her back in place with one hand. Anger filling his body, he was sure that what he heard was not true..... Esther wouldn't do anything bad, why was she hesitant in telling him where she went. " Esther! Don't let me go mad at you" he told her and she looked at him with wide eyes, " I didn't do anything!" She spoke back and this made him roar. He punched the wall behind her and she shivered, grabbing his shirt so that she won't fall down, the wall cracked from the impact. Tears broke down her cheeks and she pushed him back with a force she didn't know she had, she just placed her hands on his chest and the force came out of nowhere. He went backwards and he looked shocked, she just opened the door and left the room, her walking turning into a run and she didn't realize any of it because of the pain she felt in her chest. She was emotionally stressed and she walked ahead not knowing where she was going, nothing in her mind, in her mind she thought she was walking and that too very slow never did she know she was flashing on her feets. The king had to follow her scent to catch up with her and when he called her name loud enough this time, she stopped in tracks and turned to look at him, her face pale and her eyes were swollen. The power hovering around her made her intimidating and it looked like it was protecting her, he saw it with his other eye, it hovered around her dark and thorny, like a hash blizzard. She was still crying and didn't want to talk to him, " I just went out to the gardens to have some berries, I wouldn't have gone if you let me, I was craving for it and you, you are being hash towards me, what wrong did I do!!!" She spoke and the king looking at her knew she was telling the truth, she was just angry and he was at fault. When he tried to come near her she raised her hand in the air and the man went flying to the other side of the way. Esther's eyes widened and she placed her hand down and she ran away from there leaving the king on the floor, he shook his head and traced to where she was running to, he hugged her from behind.....
"Leave me alone!" she shouted but he didn't let go, he held her close till she came down and lost consciousness in his arms, she had dark veins on her neck coming down to her skin. She had claws and her white hair had shades of black with red at the tip of her hair, she had dark drawings on her arms and back, he looked at her with horror, he knew all of her abilities and for the past weeks she's been showing other abilities, like she was a stranger in his palace. He concluded that he had to do something or find out what was happening, he had called for the wise one to come to the palace, if someone knew much about the night creatures then it was him, the blind man....
" Hahaha! You are joking right?" A red haired lady spoke and her informant looked serious, " am telling the truth, milady... you know I don't joke with my work, he's going to take a new form and he will be more dangerous than before" he said staring at her pale face, her smile flattened and she glared at the young vampire in front of her. The only reason she kept him alive was because she wanted him in her bed, he had grown into a handsome vampire under her watch. She licked her lips at the thought and came back to business, " but the last time I saw him, he was asleep in his coffin then what are you saying?" She asked him with annoyance and he nodded, " yes! He was and infact he still is still in his coffin, he chose someone to give birth to him. This must not happen lady Hera, we will be doomed if he's born!" He spoke sternly as serious as he could making the lady look back at him. She laughed out loud and for a second, Elvis thought she was out of it, her laugher went on and she looked at him still laughing, she said " find who ever it is and kill him or her, I want them dead!!!! Why can't he leave us alone even in his sleep he fights against us, huh?" A deep frown appeared on her beautiful face after the laughter.
