I turned and walked into the United Airlines building.
As I entered the building, I was immediately struck by the bustling atmosphere. People were rushing to and fro, and the sound of keyboards clacking and phones ringing filled the air. I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. This was it. This was my first day as a flight attendant.
I made my way to the reception desk, where a friendly-looking woman greeted me.
"Hi there! Can I help you?"
"Hi," I replied. "I'm Joanna. I'm here for my first day of training as a flight attendant."
The woman smiled.
"Ah, great! Congratulations on getting the job. Let me just check a few things." She tapped away on her computer, then handed me a badge.
"Here you go. This is your ID badge. You'll need to wear it at all times while you're on duty."
I took the badge and pinned it to my jacket.
"Thanks," I said.
The woman smiled.
