CHAPTER TWENTY THREE: THE FEELING OF IMPORTANCE

" I didn't know this place existed." I said cheerfully as I looked around...it was an open breakfast hub," It does and they have the best pan cakes." Jiang Hao said as he pulled out a seat for me," Let's have those then." I said as he put in our order," Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked like I didn't know I woke up early and spend hours doing make up and picking out an outfit to look good and for him to stare at me," You look pretty as always." he said as I felt a blush up my cheeks," Here is your order." the waitress said," I'll help you with that." Jiang Hao said as he helped me slice through my pan cakes," Chocolate or vanilla?" he asked as he pointed at the syrups," Vanilla." I said as he helped me put some," Here you go.." he added with a smile, all his gestures were making me giggle and blush," Thank you." I added as we started eating," How is it?" he asked," It's really delicious..." I said as I took another bite.

" I should get going now." I said as he dropped me off at the cafe," Well as much as I want to ask you to stay...you need to work so I'll see you later." he replied as he kissed my cheek," Bye.." I said shyly as I turned to leave...I could still see him staring at me from his car and as much as I wanted to see this side of him, all this sweetness was going to kill me one of these days.

JIANG HAO'S POV

" Okay that's it..." the photographer said as we concluded the photoshoot, it was for a water ad that I was shooting with one of the actresses I worked with in my previous series," Thank you." I said as I bowed to the team and headed to my dressing room," What do we have scheduled next..?" I asked Eric as he checked his phone," Nothing much...just dinner with Mrs Yi..." he said," Can we postponed the dinner to tomorrow..?" asked," Well I need a reason to do that." he said as I sat down," Iam going to the movies with my wife...is that a reason enough.?" I asked as Eric chuckled softly," So you did confess." he said as I stared at him with a smile," What do you think?" I asked," Well iam happy for you...and I'll come up with a stronger reason for you to escape this dinner." he said as he turned to leave," Get ready soon...Ai man wants to have a word with you later today." he added as he left," I'll wait for you in the car.." he concluded.

I wasn't sure why Ai man wanted to talk to me but it definetly had nothing to do with scandals since I had not been involved in many so I could cross that out," Why do you look so serious..?" I asked as I sat down," Your contract with Mr Choi was sent over...I need you to read through it and see if you can work with the terms and conditions." she said as she handed it over, I stared at it happily and even browsed through," Ill read through it tonight." I said as she stared quietly at me," Why are you so happy today?" she asked," Iam I?" I asked," You are.." she replied as I stood up and looked around her office," Iam..." I said firmly as I spotted something on her desk," What is that doing here?" I asked as I noticed that it was an invitation to Yena's wedding," Oh that...Yena came a few days ago and sent it over...she also said that she gave you one too." Ai man replied as I clenched my jaw, truth is Ai man didn't know about me and Yena dating and when I asked her to help me make my relationship public, she was yet to meet the girl I was dating so she only knows Yena as my make up and stylist manager and nothing more that that..the only person who knew much about it all was Eric and he did a good job at making it a secret," Are you okay?" she asked as I smiled softly," Iam good..." I replied," I should get going." I added as I left, how did Yena still affect me despite me not being in love with her anymore...seeing her wedding invitation reminded me of the heart ache I felt when she just walked out of my life.

SANG YI'S POV

" Look at you..." Alia said as I walked out of the room after getting ready for our movie date with Jiang Hao," Do I look good?" I asked as nodded," You look absolutely gorgeous.." she replied as I heard some one knock," That must be Jiang Hao." I said as I rushed to open the door when Alia stopped me," Let me have my fan girl moment please..." she begged as I let her do the honours, she walked up to the door and opened it with a smile that disappeared shortly after," What's wrong?" I asked as I came over and saw that it was Eric," Is Everything okay?" I asked as he walked in," Well yes..Jiang Hao asked me to pick you up..." he said as I felt a bit worried," Is he okay?" I asked as Eric assured me that he was," He is waiting for you are the movies.." he added as I picked up my purse and walked outside, he and Alia seemed to have alot going on seeing how she glared angrily at him the entire time," Let's go." he said," Good bye Alia.." I said as I followed slowly behind him.

While in the movies, I noticed that Jiang Hao was spacing out most of the times, he wasn't really watching the movie and instead he was thinking of something which got me worried," You have been quite off the entire time." I said to him as we left the cinema," Iam sorry..I just have something on my mind.." he said as we got some where to sit," Do you mind sharing it with me..?" I asked as he stared at me and smiled softly," I don't know.. should I?" he asked as I assured him that I was going to be a good listener," Iam not sure I should be talking to the girl I currently like about he girl that dumped me months ago." he said as I figured that his whole mood being gloomy had something to do with that..." Well I don't know..I would like to know everything about you...your exes inclusive." I said as he stared at me quietly," Should we have a drink together?" I asked as I took him to my comfort place.

" What's this place?" he asked as I showed him to the swings," It's an abandoned park..pretty much old since no one comes here any more." I explained as I asked him to have a seat on the swings," Are you sure these are safe..you just said that it is an old park..who knows when these last received maintenance." he said with a worried tone," Take it from someone who comes here and sits here most of the times..the swings are okay..see." I said as I sat in mine and even swung my self," Best careful.." he urged me as he sat next to me," Don't worry..." I said to him as he looked at me and smiled, we first sat down and sipped on our beers quietly," Are you ready to tell me what's going on?" I asked as he stared at me and sighed," Well it's my ex Yena..she sort of broke up with me months ago...but giving me her wedding invitation card." he said as I quietly listened," I don't know...she literally hurt me so much, she told me alot of things that broke me into pieces but I still feel really heavy whenever I see something that relates to her..don't get me wrong I don't like her or care about her any more but it feels like she still has this strange effect on me...it's annoying and killing me." he explained as I sort of understood what he was going through," Iam...confused and today I sort of saw her wedding invitation again and it reminded me of the past I had with her and I became angry and my mood became gloomy just like that." he explained as I spread my arms out for him," What's wrong..?" he asked," I want to give you a hug... remember iam hear to listen to you vent and also comfort you so here..." I said as he smiled and reached him for the hug," Are you feeling better?" I asked as he held me even more tightly," Can I have a few more minutes?" he asked as I held him tightly too," You can have an hour too if you like..." I said as I patted his back softly...it just felt good that he decided to tell me about, that alone made me feel important to him...
