First Contact

I woke up and found myself in a lot of pain. I had no idea what was happening to me, and I was unable to move my body in any way. I struggled to say something or even just moan, but was unable to get any sounds out of my throat.

I stopped attempting to struggle and attempted to open my eyes. At last I was able to do something, and just stared at the first thing I saw. I saw a man standing over me in a suit, but that wasn't the thing I found strange. What I found strange was that this man didn't have any features that are normally associated with a face. He had no mouth, eyes or nose. It looked like his skin just grew straight over everything else. I was freaking out internally, and started desperately trying to remember what happened. It was then I realised, I didn't have any recollection of who I was, where I was or what I was doing here.

I then heard a deep voice. "What the hell were they doing here."

I feel like I know that voice, and it seems like this guy in front of me isn't the one who spoke.

"Something extremely diabolical. This is the one only left alive, and that is probably not going to last much longer."

This time it was the no-face speaking. Man, this is a whole new definition of a blank stare.

The deep voiced person hurriedly spoke again, "Then we need to get him to a Hospital, quick!"

I felt myself being grabbed and lifted up from behind myself and am turned around until I see the face of this other guy. I see a black mask with two pointy ears covering the top half of a face, on a body wearing a full black suit.

I feel like I know who this is, it just stuck at the tip of my tongue. I start thinking harder and concentrating, trying to figure out who this is. As I am concentrating, I start to hear the clinking of chains and I see chains fall from my body onto the ground below.

"What's happening?" the man dressed in black exclaimed suddenly as he drops me.

When I hit the floor, I feel a sudden shock go through my body, and the pain that was already killing me started flaring up. I start moaning in pain, and it takes me a few seconds to realise that I was able to move again as well as speak. I feel a rush of relief flood through my body, but then start thinking about what those two people were saying earlier.

What happened to me? Am I really going to die in a short while?

I could hear people talking, it seemed like they were trying to get my attention.

"Hey, are you okay? What did you just do? Can you hear me?"

"Leave him alone Bats. He doesn't have long left."

The world was slowing fading away, just like the noise of them speaking. Just like the pain I could feel all throughout my body. I feel grateful that the pain is finally going away and black out.
