Lucas was currently on his way to the Jura Forest. It was just a few kilometres away from the Free Guild Association's Blumund branch.
The Free Guild was present here because it acted as a shield for the kingdom. If a monster tide occurred, the adventurers would be given a mandatory mission to fight them and slow it down until the army arrived.
Another reason was that it made the lives of the adventurers easy. They wouldn't need to travel too far to sell monsters and for various other things. The guild being close to the Jura Forest was thus very helpful to them.
Lucas had taught Elmesia how to use magicules to heal wounds. He didn't teach her too much, just a bit, and after taking the money from her, he left for Jura Forest.
She didn't follow him this time because she had some work to do. What it was, Lucas didn't know and he wasn't interested in knowing it either. He left for Jura Forest quickly after she left and ensured that she wasn't following him.
Elmesia saw Elyun Grimwald, her cousin, going inside the guild. She had come so far from Sarion just to meet her and when she saw her, she had to reluctantly part ways with Lucas.
She didn't tell Lucas that she was here for Elyun and simply said that she had work and left.
Lucas didn't ask her anything either and was now finally on his way to meet Veldora.
But the problem was… It was almost night time now.
Lucas arrived in the Kingdom of Blumund early in the morning and it took him half a day to come to the Free Guild. It was almost sunset time when Elmesia left.
For this reason, Lucas couldn't go to the Jura Forest at this time. It was too dangerous.
Sure he may be powerful enough to defeat monsters but still, it wasn't worth the risk. He was just going there to talk to Veldora and there weren't any additional benefits present.
Lucas thus decided to rest the night and go to the Cave of Imprisonment after sunrise tomorrow.
Lucas picked a large tree and checked its surroundings.
There was nothing present in the vicinity of the tree that made Lucas feel threatened or danger and this tree thus became the resting spot of Lucas.
He climbed the tree and rested on a branch. He did sleep but he ensured that he was alert and on guard. Even a slight disturbance was enough to wake him up.
Next morning.
There were no problems that occurred during the night and Lucas had a good sleep. Though his body was slightly stiff due to him sleeping on the branch.
Lucas got down the tree and stretched to reduce stiffness.
After a few minutes of stretching, he left for the Cave of Imprisonment.
An hour of gliding in the air through the Jura Forest, Lucas finally saw silhouettes of a mountain range.
As he saw that, he increased his speed and rushed close to it.
Finally, another hour later, Lucas arrived near the mountain range.
There, he saw a big rust-ridden metallic gate.
There was a signboard present at the outside of the gate that read:
True Dragon's Cave! Beware!
'Oh, so it isn't called the Cave of Imprisonment but True Dragon's Cave,' Lucas thought to himself as he looked at the board.
'Well… makes sense. It was fine to call it the Cave of Imprisonment in the anime since it would be helpful for the fans to not get confused and know it well. But now this is the real world. Only an idiot would be ballsy enough to name this place as a prison for the dragon.'
'Anyway, that's none of my concerns. I should hurry up.'
Lucas wore a black hooded robe and got close to the gate.
He touched the gate to pass through but it was dust that came onto his hand.
'Tch. It's been almost 300 years since anyone ever visited this place. No wonder it's dusty.'
He ignored the dust and caused the particles of the gates to vibrate with the help of his own magicules.
Like he passed through the carriage, he passed through this gate as well. It wasn't too difficult to do but it expended more magicules than before.
This wasn't a wooden surface Lucas was passing through but a metal one. It was no wonder that more magicules were needed to pass.
Entering inside, Lucas started walking.
While walking Lucas saw the cave to be well lit due to the colorful crystals present everywhere in the surroundings.
Lucas didn't know where Veldora was but that was not a problem. Since he knew how to locate him.
It was simple. Just follow the magicule density.
Keep moving towards the path where the magicules were getting more and more dense.
But as the density increased, so did the risk. There would definitely be powerful monsters present in Lucas's way.
Lucas kept moving inside and he halted when he came across a certain type of grass patch.
Lucas looked at it and smiled.
'So he's gonna reincarnate in this place. Good.'
After this thought, he continued to move forwards, walking on top of the medicinal herbs below his feet.
It wasn't grass that was present here but Hipokute herbs. A valuable medicinal herb used in making potions that grew only in magicule dense area.
Of course, even though it was valuable, it was no different than grass to Lucas as the world didn't have the means to make an effective potion from this grass.
Only Rimuru would be able to do it since he has the skill Great Sage to help him out with making a potion that is almost a 100% effective and potent.
As far as Lucas knew, this world had potions that were only 20 or 30% effective and those were the most premium ones. The cost of these potions also was too high for any common person to afford.
But still, this doesn't change the fact that the value of the herb below was the same as grass for Lucas. Its value would only increase if Rimuru digests them and makes potions out of it.
Lucas left the Hipokute herbs area and he was starting to see signs of monsters.
He masked his scent, his body, and his whole presence with the help of his own magicules.
The monsters that were spawned in this cave due to Veldora's magicules leaking out were all non-sentient ones. They just ran on their instincts and it was a good thing for Lucas.
As long as he had himself masked, no monster would be able to detect him.
Another thing was, the deeper he went, the less monsters there would be.
Veldora's aura was leaking out and that made the monsters feel scared and they thus stayed clear of that area.
Lucas continued his walk deeper into the cave and the magicule density had become so dense by now that it was visible in the air.
The magicules looked like colorful mist but as he ventured deeper, they appeared as a thick fog.
Lucas continued his walk and after a few hours…
