Childish Pranks

Lucas looked at Lucy with a dumbfounded gaze. He then knocked on her head a few times and said to her,

"Are you okay in there? Do you understand what you're saying?"

Lucy nodded her head and said calmly, "I do."

Lucas was at a loss when he saw how calm she was, despite saying such a thing. "How can you say such a scandalous thing with such a straight face, big sis?"

Lucy rolled her eyes and said, "how can it be scandalous? You've seen them many times, just haven't touched them, that's about it."

Lucas knitted his brows. What was up with his sister?

"When did I even see them…" He said softly.

"When we were kids and bathed together, at that time, when else? And also a few times when you walked into my room without knocking while I was changing." Lucy explained.

"Oh." Lucas's mouth turned into an 'o' shape as he heard her explanation. It seemed pretty reasonable. But one second…

"Lucy–"

Pah!

"Oww!"

Lucy interrupted Lucas just as he said that by spanking his butt lightly, causing him to feel a strong sting again.

Lucas almost fell forward but Lucy caught him by holding his shoulder.

Lucas looked at her and said in a slightly pained voice, "why would you do that? Do you hate me that much?"

Lucy shook her head. She smiled and said to him, "call me big sis, not Lucy. I am older than you."

Lucas clicked his tongue as he heard this. "Tsk, you're just five minutes older. And also there was no reason for you to hit me for this small thing. You could've just asked nicely and I would've done it for you."

Lucy raised her eyebrow in interest as she heard this. Lucas, her brother, was willing to do things for her and all she needed to do was talk nicely? This was something new.

Before, he always teased and annoyed her or caused problems, it wasn't very nice. This one time, their mother gave them snacks and Lucas, to annoy her, licked them all, spreading his saliva everywhere on the food so that she wouldn't eat it and he could have it all to himself.

It was very annoying and in response to that, she spanked his ass and poured cold water on him for a week straight to wake him up. Of course, she still had the snacks though. It wasn't too big of a deal to her since they both used to feed each other with their spoons when they were kids.

Lucas stopped doing such pranks after he was twelve plus years old as he too felt that it was too childish to annoy his sister this way. He opted for different strategies to cause problems for Lucy for that reason.

He annoyed her by sometimes replacing salt and sugar together, making her have salty tea instead, or by sneakily putting some cold water on her neck during winters and having it trickle down her back, causing her to shiver.

Lucy was very annoyed by him, but obviously, she too pulled pranks and it wasn't just him doing it. During winters, she always messed a few things up in the boiler room and had Lucas get cold water. Or sometimes showing off some snacks to him and eating it without sharing and make him feel miserable.

The two siblings were very close to each other and despite how much they annoyed each other, they very deeply loved each other as well.

Lucy knew about it and so right now, she was surprised to see that Lucas decided to not annoy her and become nice all of a sudden.

But then she immediately realized that it must be due to her being nice to him.

She smiled and said to him, "okay, then please call me big sis only from now on."

Lucas nodded his head in understanding. If she likes being called that, he'll gladly do so. He wanted to give her all of his love and care that he wasn't able to in his past life and also to embrace her and never let her separate. Same was the case with his mom.

Lucy raised her eyebrows in surprise again. Her little brother had surely changed. Previously, he called her little Lucy to tease her most of the time or simply Lucy. He only called her big sis when he needed something from her or in actual serious conversation or during the times when he was very sad or very happy.

But soon she brushed these thoughts off and smiled happily. Whatever the case, it wasn't a bad thing and she liked this change.

She smiled and patted Lucas's head. "Good little brother, you're being very nice today."

Lucas nodded and said, "anything for my big sis."

Lucy was impressed hearing it. She had a slight blush on her face because of hearing such embarrassing words from him but it was very less and went unnoticed by Lucas.

She stopped patting his head and said after clearing her throat, "I need to go and help mom."

Lucas nodded. "Alright, but first help me get laid on the bed."

Lucy giggled hearing it but still helped him. She left after ensuring Lucas was on the bed, lying comfortably.

Lucas could only lie down on his sides or on stomach, lying on the back was a big no as it would hurt him. His mother spanked him real good and had it not been for the ointment, he would've felt much more pain.

While lying down on his stomach, Lucas thought to himself, 'from what I heard from big sis, it seems that there's still a lot of time for Rimuru to reincarnate and the Adventurer's Association has only just been formed by Yuuki. So what I need to do first is to go talk to that tsundere dragon and get him on my side from the first time itself. Next I'll need to…'

Lucas started formulating a rough plan in his mind and fell asleep mid way thinking about it.

Leya walked in to check up on him and also to call him for dinner but watching him sleep peacefully, she didn't wake him up.

She walked close to him and used healing magic to relieve him of his pain. It did pain her to discipline Lucas like that but it was needed to be done.

Discipline when needed and love him and take care of him at all other times, this was how Leya was doing her parenting. She spoiled Lucas and Lucy whenever she got the chance and right now, she was showing her care for Lucas.

After healing him, she kissed Lucas's forehead and said softly, "goodnight, baby. Sleep well."

She silently left the room and Lucas slept the whole night peacefully in his room.
