Chapter 28: Sakura in the Shadows (End)

"Huh?" Rachel thought as she walked down the stone steps.

"Where are you going?" She heard the familiar voice making her turn her head in shock. She didn't think as in that moment she ran into the woods away from the voice. Using the shadows to hide herself amongst the darkness.

It took a moment when she stopped by a pond and realized something 'Why am I running?' she wondered turning around only to see Tsiyi pulling her into an embrace.

"Got you" he whispered; Rachel was stunned but this time she honestly had no reason to reject him now. She cupped his face and pressed her lips against his.

"You didn't leave, Why?" Rachel whispered.

"I said I would not leave you behind"

Rachel's eyes grew teary

'Transfer' she thought 'Am I leaving? Or is it something else?' Rachel thought before her expression changed.

"I saw you dance…Ray, It was beautiful."

Bang, was what went of inside her as she trembled. She understood this time she was leaving, she was really leaving, A sobbed nearly broke out.

"Ray?" Tsiyi said in panic when he has abruptly pushed away.

"Tsiyi, will you protect Riyo and Akiyo for me. I don't think I will be able to" Rachel began to say as she held herself, she was disappearing. No more like the world was collapsing before her, she gave Tsiyi a meaningful look before everything went dark.

Tsiyi looked at the spot where Ise disappeared he felt a stab in his chest and then something bottles up explode. The person he loved disappeared before his very eyes and he couldn't do a thing about it, he collapsed seemingly not knowing what to do.

"…." Riyo said nothing as she watches Tsiyi walk back with a dejected look, Akiyo was asleep in her hands. She watch him walk inside and for a moment didn't come out.

She grew worried and weary, Yue had always been strange, sometimes it felt like one day she would leave or that she would one day disappear and never return.

It was her gut feeling, that always ate at her. She hoped that this 'little' sister she had gained and loved throughout the years would always be around.

It had been some time but Tsiyi walked out, fully dressed, he seemed ready to leave. He gave Riyo a soft smile before disappearing into the shadows.

Some years pass, Riyo had moved with Tsiyi's people and their country. She has lived in piece and watched Akiyo grew up.

Hachi had passed the year before, breaking the poor boy's heart for the second time. The first time was when he realized his Sister Yue wasn't coming back.

These day he's fallen somewhat in love with a young girl, he has been trying to woo, her.

Tsiyi never came back he was gone, so was Yue and it seems like it would be forever. Riyo, in her mind she prays that the pair would meet again.
