Shit Show

After catching my breath, I stand up, pulling Selene up with me.

"My room, in 5 hours. All of you," I announce to the group before leaving with Selene. As we make our way back to the dorms, we store our weapons in a peculiar space. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but it's fascinating and I can't help but be curious about it.

Deciding against changing into our uniforms, Selene and I continue on, still covered in blood and gore from the intense battle. We draw a few curious glances from others on our way back, but it seems to be a relatively common sight in Tavill.

A few hours later, I find myself leaning against the headboard with Selene snuggled into my right side. We've both freshened up and are now lazily lounging around in the comfort of my room.

As I gaze at Selene, my heart swells with affection. I'm trying to woo her with sweet nothings, whispering words of adoration and affection into her ear. She responds with playful banter and teasing, her laughter filling the room.

Suddenly, the air changes, a palpable tension settling between us. I tuck a few stray strands of hair behind her ear, my fingers lingering on her soft skin. She looks up at me with those captivating eyes, and I can't help but be drawn to her lips.

In that moment, time seems to stand still. This is it, the perfect moment for our first kiss as Selene and Nathaniel. I lean in closer, my heart pounding in anticipation. The world around us fades away, and all I can focus on is the warmth of her body against mine, the softness of her lips so close to mine.

Just as I'm about to close the distance between us and capture her lips with mine, a soft knock on the door interrupts the moment.

I let out an exasperated sigh, my frustration evident. Selene starts laughing beside me, a full-bodied belly laugh that fills the room. I glare at her, but she laughs even harder.

"Come in," I call out, my voice a mix of irritation and anger.

The door creaks open, revealing Tama standing awkwardly in the doorway with a sheepish smile on his face. He's followed by the others, Elizabeth, Damien, Lani, and Gregory.

I shoot them all a glare, silently cursing the timing of their arrival. Selene, on the other hand, continues to laugh, completely unfazed by the interruption.

"Sorry to interrupt," Tama says, his voice apologetic. "We just... wanted to hang out?"

I sigh and run a hand through my hair, trying to compose myself. "Fine, fine. Come in," I say, waving them inside.

They all file into the room, standing awkwardly, the door suddenly slams behind them.

Standing there looking awkward, Tama and the others in front of us, Selene and I on the bed, we must look like parents who have called in their unruly children for a scolding. The irony is not lost on me, especially considering Selene and I are actually middle-aged old people in young bodies. The thought makes me internally chuckle, though I manage to keep a straight face.

We agree on training together to improve our teamwork, because we need to keep getting first place for those merits.

By "agree," I mean I inform them. Not that they argued, or that I would let them.

I lay out the plan for our training sessions, focusing on specific drills and scenarios that will help us synchronize our movements and strategies. Selene nods in agreement, her eyes sparkling with determination.

Damien and Elizabeth exchange glances, seemingly hesitant but willing to go along with it, as they should.Gregory just grunts in response, clearly not one for words.

"We start tomorrow morning, bright and early," I announce, and they all nod in understanding.

As they file out of the room, I catch Tama's eye. There's something about him that makes me pause, a flicker of uncertainty in his gaze. But it's gone in an instant, replaced by his usual calm demeanor.

I shake off the feeling and turn my attention back to Selene, who is already pulling me back onto the bed with a mischievous glint in her eye. Training can wait for now.

In a dimly lit room, four students gather. They are the founders of club SeThan: Student A, Student B, Student C, and the gloomy student. Suspicion hangs in the air, their faces etched with seriousness as they huddle around a single candle on the floor, its flickering flame casting eerie shadows on the walls.

Student C breaks the silence, her voice solemn. "It's only 3 months to go until it happens."

Student A chimes in, a hint of excitement in his voice. "I'm worried but excited. There's been nothing happening. The club needs more content."

The gloomy guy speaks next, his tone morose. "I can't wait for people to see the light that is Selene, my goddess', and that other guy." His words are laced with a strange fervor.

Student B, with a wicked glint in his eyes, adds his thoughts. "I hope you're saving your merits. It's gonna be a shit show."

The four students, each coming from different backgrounds and paths, start to cackle evilly. Their laughter fills the room, mingling with the flickering candlelight as they plot and scheme for the upcoming event. The atmosphere is charged with anticipation and a hint of darkness, as they prepare for what lies ahead.

it's Friday! trying to push my limits for a mini batch update, I know how annoying it is to read just a single chapter.

I'll do my best!ᕙ(  • ‿ •  )ᕗ
