Chapter 22

Damian asked me to wait, I looked at him with my eyes half closed. "Did you make this dish?" Damian asked. I placed my hand on Diamond's chair and I rested my palm on my face. "Mhmm" I answered half awake.

"When you speak to the King you stand up straight" A lady said. I looked at the lady with less interest. Stand up straight my ass, I so damn sleepy, i haven't eaten for some days now and she's asking me to stand up straight.

"Didn't you hear her?...stand up straight now" Damian said. I stood straight and I looked at Damian straight in the eyes.

"Did you really make that Lilith?" Silver asked. "Um.....I....I...." I couldn't complete my sentence cause I collapsed but Damian caught me. I looked at Damian in the eyes again and I was mesmerized but it's beauty. I heard a gasp.

"How dare you fall deliberately on the King" The lady said. I tried to move but I was so dizzy.

Damian held my waist, he carried me. "Your Majesty...I can walk" I said in a whisper. "I didn't asked for your opinion" Damian said looking at me. He carried me to my room, he placed me on the bed, he was about to leave but I held his hand.

"Your Majesty, I'm sorry for everything.....I know you hate me but I am sorry" I said.

"Don't worry, go to sleep....and I'd be expecting you for breakfast in the morning" Damian said. Damian left and I slept. I woke up the next morning, after freshening up, I went to the dinning.

I was skeptical at first to enter but Diamond found me outside and she dragged me inside. I entered the room and I saw people dressed in expensive dresses.

Diamond showed me to a chair. I sat down and I noticed everyone was staring at me. I felt uncomfortable sitting down. The maids came in with the dishes, everyone began to eat. We heard a loud bang on the table, everyone looked at the direction and I saw the lady from yesterday.

"How could you be so blinded by this? How could we let a no body dine with us?" The lady said. "Come on Ivy if King Damian says she would dine with us so be it" A king said.

"Come on she is just...just" Ivy said but she stopped talking when Damian hit his hand on the table and every where was dead silent. "Ivy if I hear so much as a peep from you...you'd regret?" Damian said.

Everyone ate peacefully but Ivy's stare was so deadly. Ohh this is an interesting drama...I would love to watch it till the end.

Breakfast was over the minute Damian was done, everyone left. I was about to leave but then this happened. "Lilith? Wait" Damian said. What in God's name does he want? I sat down on a chair and I refused to moved.

He began to speak but I wasn't concentrating, I was too busy staring at his eyes. "Did you get anything I just said?" Damian asked. "Huh?" I said. "I said I'd like you to make that lunch you made yesterday" Damian said. "Is that all?" I asked.

"Yes" Damian replied. "Alright your Majesty" I replied. "Call me Damian" Damian said. I always call him Damian that's when he's not around. what's with the weird behavior.

"Alright.....Damian, give me some time" I said. I left the room and I went to spend some time with Diamond. Diamonds had left the dinning earlier and I'm pretty sure she's in her room.

I went to her room, I knocked lightly on the door. "Diamond may I come In" I said. "Sure" Diamond said. I entered the room and Diamond's room is gigantic. It could fit an entire community but the probably is that her room is filled with so many bottles. "Diamond what are these bottles for?" I asked. "Those are potions I'm working on" Diamond replied.

"There are so many...why are they in your room?" I asked. "I just made them.....each potion is meant for different reasons" "Wow" I said In amazement. "So what would you like to do?" Diamond asked. "I don't know....what do you want to do now" I said. "I'm heading down to a river" Diamond said. "Why?" I asked.

"I need to get a rear plant" Diamond said. "Why do you need the plant for?" I asked. "Well I need the plant to finish the potion and if I don't find the plant we're in a lot of trouble" Diamond said.

"I don't get it" I said. "The plant is an important ingredient in the potion I'm making for Damian" Diamond said. "Damian? Why does he need a potion?" I asked in curiosity.

"Ever since I could remember Damian has been struggling with another soul inside him....." Diamond said. "Wait so you mean he has two souls?" I asked. "Yes" "Wow that's awesome" I said. "Why do you think that?" Diamond asked.

"If he has two souls it would be very difficult for him to die.....i mean he's like a super hero" I said like a child. "You may think it's fun and all but for him it's a curse.....you see Damian's parents were vampire just like him but his father made a deal with a priestess from an ancient religion.

Damian's Father wanted to be a King who was feared by all and so the priestess granted his wish and as years went by his Father killed the priestess' son. She was angry so she cursed Damian from the womb" Diamond said.

"It wasn't his fault that his Father killed her son" I said. "I know but when she cursed him, she said that he would never be happy, would never have control of his soul, he would battle with the demons inside him" Diamond said. "So what exactly does the potion do?" I asked.

"The potion is to help suppress his inner demon" Diamond said. "Have you ever seen his inner demon before?" I asked.

"Well yes....that's why he needs the potion....although there shall come a day when it would take full control of his soul and by then there would be nothing we could do.....but until then we shall give him the potion."
